Fighting for Everything is book one in the Warrior Fight Club by Laura Kaye.

Wow! I’m impressed. I’m never sure if I’m going to like a contemporary romance or not. They are hit or miss for me, but Fighting for Everything really struck a cord. It’s a friends to lovers romance.

The author did a fabulous job with her characters, their struggles, and the friends to lovers romance.

Noah’s got TBI and PTSD. The realism of coming home from war, how hard it can be, the struggles and things that can seam s

Fighting for Everything was a fantastic start to the Warrior Fight Club and a really good introduction to these characters. The main focus of this story was on Noah but it leads us to the other member of the Club that will soon get their own story.

For the romance in this book, it was kind of in the background and pretty light. At first I was honestly a little disappointed that the romance part of Noah and Kristina's story wasn't the main thing focused on, but I soo

It’s been a while since I have read anything by Laura Kaye mainly due to the fact I have no interest in MC or BDSM Club story-lines and that's is where her focus has lately been, no judgement, they are just not something that I am interested in. So seeing that her new series Warrior Fight Club was going to be based around wounded and recovering Vets, I was all over book one; Fighting

Fighting for Everything is an intensely complicated friends to lovers romance. The friendship between Kristina and Noah started when they were just kids and it has sustained them throughout grade school, college and military deployments. But when Noah returns home injured and broken, just a shadow of his old self, his inability to deal with everything he's lost sets into motion a series of devastating setbacks to their friendship.

I adored this book for so many reasons. I love Laura Kaye's storyt

Fighting for Everything by Laura Kaye was everything you could have wanted and so much more. Kaye beautifully weaves brokenness, hope, romance and second chances in such a palpable manner. With her emphatic prose, she creates a connection to her characters in such a way that calls and tugs the heartstrings of her readers. There is just something about best friends to lovers trope that I loved and in this book, Kaye showcased a love that

Laura Kaye is one of those authors that end up surprising you at every single turn! I have no idea why I’m continually surprised by her stories. I know she’s an amazing writer and I adore all of her characters and all of her books, but when I crack open a new one by her, I’m floored by the emotional impact that is has on me. I think that’s a sign of an amazing author because no matter how much I know her writing and her style, she still has the ability to kno

Fighting for Everything is part friends to lovers, part military recovery story! Noah has returned from the Marine Corp a different person-physically and mentally. He has severe physical injuries, extreme PTSD, and on top of that a big case of survivor's guilt. He feels so broken and worthless. Kristina has been his best friend for years, and she is the last person he wants to see him like this. Kristina is a teacher and totally in love with Noah. She is NOT going to let him push her away.

I absolutely adore all of Laura Kaye's novels. They can be in any type of genre or series and I will read them as I can always expect her to deliver a hot sexy alpha male and the sassy and strong woman who brings him to his knees. So when I heard she was writing a wounded veterans series I could not jump on this fast enough. I loved Noah and Kristina. Their emotional connection was as strong as their physical one and their banter was just as hot. I absolutely loved them!

Fighting For Everything is the first book in a new series by Laura Kaye. I was very intrigued about this book, I was sent this book by the author a while ago, and then totally forgot about it and when i realized I had this, I knew I needed to read this especially since I have been in the mood fo

Premise: Noah and Kristina have been best friends for 20 years. He's home from the military after being injured and is actively suffering PTSD and other trauma. Though he is doing his best to hide his struggles, he is lashing out and pushing people away, especially Kristina. In the midst of all this, they both realize they've been in love with each other but Noah [believes] he cannot be with her because he is damaged.

Ok, so, let me start with it's not that I disliked this, but
‘Fighting for Everything’ is something I decided to give a go because it does sound different from Laura Kaye’s offerings of late—MCs aren’t what I typically read and Kaye’s recent focus on that left me hanging in the wind. That it’s an earnest take on vets and the demons they bring home from war is a bonus because it shoves the spotlight on protagonists who are the furthest from the cocky, swaggeringly confident male romantic fiction loves to portray.

But the Warrior fight club bit doesn’t come

Heart crushing, soul shattering emotions, make this the best book that I have read this year!!!

Laura Kaye always brings the best to you in her books, but the amount of work and research that she put into this book will amaze you. Anybody with family in the military knows what they go through on a personal level and that just adds more emotions to this book for me.

Noah, Oh Noah. My heart hurt for you and what you were going through alone. Kristina’s heart was crushed because she h

Welcome to the Warrior Fight Club!

Noah is home from his time at war and not taking to adjusting well. He is injured and lucky to even be alive but the civilian life isn't going too well for him. He is angry and frustrated and is just having a hard time putting his life in order. The only thing that is somewhat normal is his best friend Kristina. Being his friend for going on 20 years she gets him and she almost can soothe the torment inside of him.

The overall writing style was good, but the pacing was slow and the character's only made it worse for me.

Kristina started off as a devoted, loyal and understanding friend. I loved how she wanted to help Noah get back on his feet out of sheer respect for him as a person. After

Fighting for Everything was such an emotional and heartfelt ride. I was immediately invested in the characters from the beginning and couldn't wait for them to get their HEA. Such a wonderful story!

These characters really got to me. Noah was complicated, in pain and turmoil, he had so many struggles and everyday battles. From the get go I was rooting for him, wanting him to be okay, to get better. Kristina was so sweet and caring, I loved her perseverance. They had an amazing friendship and I lo

Laura Kaye seems to have the patent for tortured alpha males - ones who have earned their scars fighting for their country but, one way or another, have not gotten the help they so desperately need, which leaves them finding outlets on their own terms, which either heal their wounds or send them spiraling even further.

Kaye’s newest hero, Noah Cortez, valiantly fought for his country, but now he has an even bigger fight on his hands - his own demons, and unless he admits his issues and seeks hel

If you've ever read anything by Laura Kaye, you know her stories pack a hell of a punch. But you don't usually feel it right out of the gate. One of the first things we learn about Noah Cortez is that he's partially blind and partially deaf from an IED overseas, where he lost most of the Marine unit he'd been fighting alongside.

This is a friends-to-lovers romance, and Noah an

Laura Kaye has a real talent for balancing characters and steaminess.

I'm so angry that I even finished this. It contained most of my strong DISLIKES and I just, I didn't even finish it after the very unreal way the heroine just let the hero come back SO EASY after what he did and said. I wanted to straight up kill the hero off. I'm so disappointed honestly, I've read this author b4 and I'm just. Weak Hero and Heroine. Contains scenes of other man as in the heroine goes out with another man. Every time the hero fucked up, she let him off the hook so e

Noah and Kristina had only ever been friends, close ones, but friends nonetheless, even if Kristina may have had a crush on him for a while. But sometimes fate takes you down a path you never saw coming, and that's what happened to these two when Noah returned home from the Marines.

Noah has a secret, and he can't share it with his oldest friend. Instead, he pushes her away and finds another outlet for his anger...fighting.

Starting a new book by this author is always such a joyful feeling. Whether it’s a book in an already existing series or a first book in a new series like Fighting for Everything is. She has amazing writing skill and always knows how to ‘get to me’ on an emotional level not many authors know how to do to me and she always delivers such great reading experiences. Oh wow, Laura Kaye does tortured heroes unlike any other - prepare to have your heartstrings tugged with Fighting for Everything.

Our tortured hero in question is Noah Cortez, ex-marine who has been medically discharged, costing him part of his sight, part of his hearing and more than a little of his sanity. It is the mental health issues that Noah truly has problems coming to terms with. Take it from someone who has issues with anxiety and depression, it really is something that you have to conv

4.5 Stars. I really enjoyed this story. So much. But, it made me so sad too, the idea that real veterans in our country are dealing with many of the same issues as Noah did in the story. It's heartbreaking, and they need more help, in any form that works for them. 22 dying a day is totally unacceptable. I hope there are real organizations out there like Warrior Fight Club, and the art classes, and anything else that these heroes feel might help them, in any way they need. This book is what I have come to expect from a Laura Kaye book, especially a military related one - emotional, intense and raw at moments, respectful, sexy and sweet. The biggest thing I can say here is that the issues related to Noah's TBI and PTSD were handled incredibly well. It's clear that Ms. Kaye took the time to truly understand these issues and not just on the surface, but how the lives of someone with these issues are affected over a long period of time, from daily tasks to jobs, perso ...more

Great first book in this new series! This story was very touching. I not only was hooked in by the best friends to lovers plot and all of the angst that entailed, but I was also very moved by how Noah's PTST/TBI was written, as well as the very important and unwavering support and friendship he received from the other veterans while going through his struggles. All of the various friendships and relationships kept me invested in this story. Additionally, some of the inspirations for a couple of ...more

This book wasn't reinventing the wheel when it comes to plot and I actually found it very similar to another book by this author but I enjoyed it. I did like how the author pulled no punches on the reality and long road to recovery that the hero was facing. He truly was not in a mental space to pursue a relationship. h was his best friend since childhood and they fall for each other hard but the hero has to work on himself first.
