Excellent book on leadership, especially for those new to being in church leadership roles. The book was easy to read containing many practical examples, yet the questions and challenges put forth were great means of growth. There were plugs for the Arrow Leadership program, but they were done tastefully and out of the author’s experiences in the program. Good, practical resources for developing a vision statement and goal setting.

This is a straight-forward book about 'self-leadership' or management. Akin to James Lawrence's Growing Leaders (although with a narrower focus), it runs alongside the Christian Leadership Programme - Arrow. It doesn't really break any new ground being rather a summary of the wisdom gleaned from being part of Arrow and then its director. There are some good illustrations, and quotations from other authors.

This is a great book! I highly recommend it for Christian leaders! It has a lot of practical and Biblical wisdom. I took a team of interns through the book and I believe it was helpful for all of us.

Parts of this book very extremely good. Other parts seemed more like an advertisement for the Arrow Institute. Overall some wise information.

A small, practical and insightful book on the importance of personal leadership in life and ministry and how we are our "most important leadership assignment" and often our "most difficult one".

There are 8 key practices that deal with topics like personal vision, time management, personal health and more that Brown lays out for the reader. There are questions at the end of each chapter that often contain significant assignments to help the reader understand themselves and take steps
