My 5 Star "Tell Me A Story Kind of Story" Review
*spoiler free*

On the Edge is T.S. Krupa's second book, and she has made her way on to my list of favorite authors.

In her debut, Safe & Sound we had a story of shocking loss, wrapped up in an extremely emotional story line. Definitely the epitome of the emotional roller coaster. So I braced myself for another emotional ride.

Instead, I was treated to humor, some funny situations, lot's of emotion, realistic life issues, a teenager who was spot on i

Received a copy from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

There’s always the fear of the dreaded "sophomore slump" when an author releases a second novel. Not in this case. T.S. Krupa’s ON THE EDGE absolutely knocks it out of the park. This book is completely engaging and FULL of the feels! There’s romance, humor (all I will say is: “Lick It, drink it, suck it.”), thrills, angst, etc. She manages to capture much of the emotional impact of her first novel, without being repetitive or ge

I was lucky enough to be gifted an ARC of On the Edge to be part of this blog tour.

Widower Andy Parker is trying to move on and remember her husband's wise advice, but with a fifteen year old daughter there are times that she wishes she wasn't alone anymore. Andy has begun dating but there is no spark and with her job duties increasing she is focused on work and her daughter.

When she meets Paul though she finds a friend who is also a professional snowboarder. Paul is sweet and understanding and Andy is beginning to fall hard for the man who is becoming important in her life.

For me, every book is different whether it’s actually the writing process or how the idea forms and translates into a story. The idea for On the Edge came to me about five years ago in 2010, while I was watching the Winter Olympics. My favorite event is the Men’s and Women’s Half Pipe competition. I have so much appreciation for the risk they take as athletes and the overall excitement I have as a spectator.

As with most sports the Men’s events are always highlighted a little more than the Women

OMG! This book was so good. Completely different feel than what we normally read and review here at ALL ROMANCE REVIEWS - which was a very nice change of scenery.

When I say "different" I mean, this book is SO SO much more than romance and sex. The relationships that T.S. Krupa developed in this story are phenomenal. There's the bond between mother and daughter, the bitter-sweetness of living with a life after death, and the companionship of a new found love. It's insane how mu

Life brings surprises in all forms, shapes and most of them come when you least expect them. Love, family, dreams and hard work are a combo ready to create a great story and that's what we got when we read On the Edge.

Andy Parker is a supportive mother willing to help his daughter to succeed as a snowboarder, who juggles two jobs to support the costs that come with it and who happen to be a widow on her mid-thirty. Of course none of this makes Andy a weak woman; on the contrary she is a fierce

On The Edge is a beautifully written and completely absorbing story that readers will find difficult to put down.

Andrea (Andy) Parker's husband, Stefan, was killed in action six years ago and raising their daughter on her own has been anything but easy. Hayden Grace is now fifteen and an avid snowboarder, who is hoping to win her first national competition, but since the death of her father something seems to be holding her back. An encouraging letter, written before Stefan's death, and some of

To preface my review, I do not give 5 stars lightly - Harry Potter, Some Jodi Picoult books, and others. When I enjoy a book, it's a 4 star in general. This book EARNED 5 stars from me due to its engaging nature, deliberate characters, and good story line. I haven't been able to read a book in less than a month since having a child over 4 years ago. I read this in 2 days, finding as many chances as possible to keep it going. I laughed a lot and teared up a little. I love that the teen in this bo ...more

T.S. Krupa once again delivers a gripping novel that I couldn't stop reading. Once I started the book I just didn't want to stop, I finished it in just a couple hours. The book itself is engrossing and even though it has something I know little about (snowboarding) as a main part of the story everything is explained just enough that you can enjoy the sport without being bogged down with information.

I couldn't help but adore Hayden Grace and Andy...they had such a cute relationship throughout the

On The Edge is a really fresh, entertaining novel about a widowed mother and her daughter faced with a genuinely life-changing opportunity. From the first chapter, it’s easy to tell that Andy Parker is very over-protective of her daughter Hayden Grace – checking her messages, not allowing her to have her phone in her room at night or to stay at home on her own. Soon we see that Andy’s heart is in the right place, she’s actually just followi

During the six years since Stefan Parker, Andy’s husband, died saving someone’s life during his third tour in the army Andy has worked hard, bringing up her daughter and commuting the two hours, back and forth, into Boston for her job in a marketing firm, which is about to get even more challenging. Andy is also a skier and backcountry guide at Mount Sunapee, where Hayden Grace is coached.

Hayden Grace has always been passionate about snowboarding and is dedicated to the sport but her concentrati

Hayden Grace dreams of becoming a professional snowboarder and Andy is prepared to sacrifice anything to make her daughters dreams come true. Andy teaches ski lessons but also is in marketing and she does her best to juggle Haden Grace's schedule with her crazy one of working, dating and making every single competition her daughter competes in.

I sped down the slopes with this wonderful novel. Krupa's writing is casual but insightful. The humor is on-point, never too over-the-top, and the characters are all well-developed. I'm not one for mother-daughter stories but Andy and Hayden Grace have such a special story. I love that Hayden Grace is a well-rounded teenager. So many authors discount young characters and make them one-dimensional but Krupa did a fantastic job with her. As a sports fan, I also loved the descriptions of the tricks ...more

This was a nice story about a mother's love. Andy was a mom that worried, especially when her daughter was a skier that wanted to beat the competition. Hayden pushes herself, and does not always land on her feet. A chance encounter brings Andy and Paul together, however are either ready for a relationship? Paul has his own problems, and Andy is way too busy juggling her job and being a mom. However there may be a way that these three people can find a way to work it all out. I am giving this boo ...more

T.S. Krupa has a wonderful grasp on both the personalities of the characters, and the winter sporting culture with which they are surrounded.

TS Krupa does such an amazing job of drawing me into her stories, and always leaving me wanting to know what happens next! Her characters are approachable, but complex. I am left at the end of the story wanting to know what happens next in their lives!

Unfortunately, children do not come with a set of instructions. Parents want the best for their children under any circumstance. Children are a woven creation from both of their parents. The love a parent has for their child is unconditional. In On the Edge, the main character Andy is no exception. She's a widow and she's raising a teenage daughter on her own. This proves to be a heartwarming journey intertwined with heartbreaks and accomplishments.

Hayden Grace is Andy's 15-year-old daughter. S

My favorite part of On The Edge was the main character, Andy Parker. The sacrifices that she makes as a mother for her child - at first one feels that Andy is not a strong character and gets pushed around too easily but you soon realize that being a single parent she has come to pick her battles and what is most important to her and her daughter and she protects that fiercely.

While a romance, On the Edge has a strong female voice which doesn't get lost throughout the story. On the Edge was easy

I was very interested to read a book about a teen girl who wants to become a professional snowboarder. I know absolutely nothing about snowboarding or any winter sport to be exact. I'm waiting for the author to write a book about a girl who plays field hockey or lacrosse.... (: Even though I knew nothing about the sport, I was still able to visualize what Hayden Grace was doing during the book. I loved that the book was not only just about HG's successes but also about the mother/daughter relati ...more
