A Vixen in Venice by Kate Deveaux is a fun and very sexy erotic romance that is the start to a new series all set in different Totally Five Star Hotels. Loved the Venice locale with the description of old buildings, canals and works of art. This story does contain adventurous types of sex, so be aware.

Monique Le Bres gets the job of her dreams as an art curator for Totally Five Star Venice. She is to be supervised by the owner’s friend Alessandro Bonnard, who is taking the supervisory position i

I was given this book for my honest review.

“I still remember that saucy, little smile you gave me,” he continued. “It was so intoxicating, all-consuming, but I had to leave you there in calle for fear of being caught. I knew at that moment that you had to be mine, then when I walked into that office and saw your pert little ass in the air, wriggling it in frustration at whatever had fallen under the desk, I knew I had a second chance. And I took it.” Luc to Monique

Oooh... Where to start with this book.

The underlying plot I found amusing, it was interesting and different and I enjoyed it. Even if I was confused a LOT about what Luc did for a living and why J was putting him to work in his hotel... never the less, I liked the characters and their chemistry.

However, that being said there was a LOT of confusion between placement in the book and things that happen. For example, people would be sitting and then suddenly they'd be standing or doing something th
I really liked the characters and the plot of a Vixen in Venice. However I felt a bit let down by the story. I felt it could have been executed a little better. I was excepting to hear more about the hotel, the surrounding area and Venice in general. But I got little of this.

Once and characters were introduced all the story seemed to focus on was the next sexual conquest that they were going to adventure into. There seemed to be little story between those events, until the end of the book. The s

This is part of the Totally 5 Star series so I had some expectations going into this book. Yes, the kinky sex was expected but, I kind of felt let down when it came to the hotel and the city. Some of both were discussed in the story, but very definitely as a secondary, or even lessor, part of the story. I guess I had been looking for a more thorough tour of the city rather than lost rambling we got. Although a brief history of the hotel was given, it was only enough to pique my interest to want ...more

Kate's done it again with her latest book: I couldn't put it down once I started. Always an excellent sign!

The characters:
Alessandro was hot, hot, hot! The very epitome of a sexy alpha male. So take-charge and confident, yet Monique brought out his soft side perfectly. Monique was incredibly feisty. She never lost her pride or determination even when she felt utterly defeated. Alessandro unflinchingly believed in her until she relaxed and let down her guard. Scorching, off-the-charts chemistry (

This is the first in a series, and I will be reading future stories as my tbr pile permits.

I am a huge fan of stories set in hotels, love Venice, and have a reasonable appreciation of art ... and romance - well that is a given! And this story has an interesting, if slightly strange plot, which was entertaining, but there was an element of confusion introduced, due to the order of events and continuity in the story. This is part of the Totally 5 Star series but is enjoyable as a standalone book.

Ready to fully leave behind her less than stellar upbringing in Kansas and make a name for herself in the art world, Monique Les Bres spends the last of her money to attempt to get a job at the Totally 5 Star hotel. Fortunately with an expended savings account, she lands the job as the art curator.

James Conroy, the owner of the hotel, calls in a favor to his friend Alessandro to oversee the novice curator and her ch

A Vixen in Venice is a fun, sexy book that I enjoyed reading. It has an interesting storyline, great main characters, and a fabulous setting. A Vixen in Venice is a lighthearted read, perfect for enjoying with a glass of wine after a busy day. This is my first book by this author, but I would definitely read more of her books.

Monique has travelled from Kansas to Venice for her dream job at a luxury hotel where she will be their art curator. Alessandro, who is a famous art collector, has been sen

I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest review.

Kate Deveaux has done a superb job of writing an intriguing novel based upon corruption, lies, and betrayal. The novel poses the question of what is more important finding love or making money. Take a trip to Venice and experience the world of love and art as you tour around the city of beauty.

I will say first of all that Kate creates the scene so that the reader feels like they are present. Her use of vivid details is off the charts. I c

I received this book from Totally Bound Publishing in return for a fair and honest review.

This book is part of the Totally 5 Star series which has the focus on a different city in each book. Although, to be fair, the focus of this book definitely wasn't on Venice but rather the goings on in Venice.

I enjoyed reading this book - it is a hot, steamy but also fun read. A couple of things didn't sit right with me which I'll go into shortly. If, however, you're looking for a book to read for pure plea

I received a copy of this book from Book Enthusiast Promotions in exchange for an honest review and as part of the book's blog tour promotions.

The best thing about this book is the fact that it's so hot and sexy. I mean, there really wasn't much in the story. Ordinarily, the types of characters that the hero and heroine were would have warranted a longer book. However, since this one was short, there wasn't really a deeper character development.

Monique is moving to Venice for her dream job, acquiring art for a 5-star hotel. Her start at Totally 5-star is anything but smooth. However, this wanton tease has some higher-ups looking out for her. Normally suave Alessandro is undercover at this hotel as Luc to look after Monique, protecting his friends interests, as well as his own. These two awaken desires in each other, but will Luc be able to persuade Monique to attempt his predilections? This being a Totally 5-Star hotel book, I knew tha ...more

Favorite Quotes:

“Monique should have been horribly offended that he’d just referred to the sexy young woman in the hall as a starter, like the all-you-can-eat salad at Olive Garden back in Kansas.”

“Damn Italian men, how did they piss you off and charm you all at the same time?”

“You make me dream in color.”

My Review:

A Vixen in Venice is a bit of genre hopper, as it is sizzling erotic romance with strong elements of suspense and adventure. There is considerable intrigue and humor along with the sp

I was given a review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the story of Monique an art curator and Luc is a rich art collector. The lustful story develops overnight and their adventures begin. This story is erotically charged from the start and is full of turns and surprises. They both have mysterious past which we get a glimpse of, but their present is full of hot Venice nights, the site and sounds. As a reader, it feels like your in Venice witnessing this story. Wow! Where to start... I really liked this book. The storyline was well written and I enjoyed the characters Monique and Luc. Donovan had potential to add some extra spice to the story, too bad he left so early, he could have watched! I would have liked to have had more details about Venice and the area, since I have never been to feel more like I was there but overall a good story that kept me entertained.

To be honest, I never was a rabid fan of contemporary romance that’s all about the couple thing. I’m more of a romantic suspense kind of contemporary reader, to be honest – and not a rabid fan at that, either.

This is one of those reads that focuses on the couple and what they’re doing, that’s the meat of the plot, if you will. It’s generally not enough to keep me that interested, un

Monique is a small town girl from Kansas who has ambitions of becoming a name in the world of high-end art and is hired to procure expensive artworks for a 5 star hotel in Venice. Alessandro, aka Luc, is the owner of his own extensive art collection and has been hired by the hotel to oversee Monique. When the two of them get together, things get hot when they can’t keep their hands off each other.

Monique Le Bres is the newly hired art curator for Totally Five Star Venice and assigned the task of acquiring the art work for the hotel. Her first day on the job she is caught in a compromising position with her boss (who knew nothing about art) and was fired but in comes Luc Umbere to her rescue. Little did either know but they had met before Monique had first made her way to the hotel when she tripped and broke her heel and he saved her from falling. However, now he is in disguise. I was given a copy for an honest review.

This is one Hot read. I am still not sure how a small town Kansas girl gets hired to procure high end art? It baffles me. "Luc" comes in to save the day. The sex is HOT, they can't keep their hands off each other.

Luc is really Alessandro, a famous art collector, who disguises himself as her supervisor. But relationships built on lies.....don't work out so well...or do they??

The sex scenes are great. I wish that we saw more of a character development. I REA

Totally Five Star Venice is a up scale hotel in Venice, Italy. Monique was able to land the job as their art curator even with little experience. Goes to show, it's not always what you know, but who you know to give you the glowing recommendations.

The owner of Totally Five Star calls in his friend to watch over Monique. When he decides to pursue her, he teaches her things both in the art collection world and in the bedroom.

But what happens when she finds out he isn't who he says he is and the p
