Travis Sterling helps run the farm that’s been in his family for the last three generations. When he needs to appease his sexual appetite there is never a shortage of willing women in the small town of Granite, Colorado.
Pearl Connors just moved to Granite to take care of her grandmother’s estate. Trying to let loose, she finds herself at the local bar, then in the bed of a rough and tough cowboy named Travis. But the next morning she tries to put the one-night stand behind her and make Granite her new home. She finds a job on a ranch to help three brothers, and soon realizes her one-night stand is right back in her face, and one-third owner of the Sterling Farm.
Can she put her desire for the dirty-talking cowboy behind her, or will she allow his dominating ways to make her submit all over again?
I enjoyed this book. If you in the mood for a hot dirty talking cowboy then definitely pick this one up.
We meet Pearl who has just lost her grandmother the last person left in her family. She lost her job and has nothing left in her life. she's feeling sad and down in the dumps. She goes to the local bar and there she meets Travis who is out for the night with his two brothers and on the prowl for a one night stand. They have one hot night and that is all they both wanted. But we all know how this goes, it never ends up like that. Pearl's looking for a job and finds an add for a cleaner and a Cook at the Steer farm and guess who's farm it is. And then as we say its all history. She meets Travis again and they just can't seem to stay away from each other. Awesome read if you in the mood for a short hot steamy read. And best of all he has two brothers so that means two more hot brothers to read about. Thanks Jenika Snow for an opportunity to read this book. Can't wait to see who is next, Jace.... Colton...
Okay, so I enjoyed it, enough to to have this around a three star after I took off all the points for things I didn't like, but this book is fucking EXPENSIVE. $4 for 80ish pages? No. Not acceptable at all. The cover isn't acceptable, I'm getting super sick of plus size characters when a cover is quite definitely NOT a plus size person. I thought the sex scenes were actually pretty great in this, especially when the anal scene wasn't just thrown in the ending. Will I read more of these if they ever get written? No. I'm done. But it wasn't horrid. It's just overpriced and not 100% in looks or plot or editing (editing was simple stuff that got repeated, ie sex scene mentioned at 24% with removal of belt)
2.75 stars. From a night of meaningless sex to an enduring love in 85 pages-hea?
The writing was not awful, in fact, it was okay. It takes some scenes of neutering and romance between two people to convey that they are falling in love. Travis Sterling, the eldest of 3 brothers maintaining their family's 60 year old ranch, and Pearl Connor, a resent inheritor of a small ranch and new resident of the town, had a one night stand. A few days later, she was hired as the family housekeeper. The sex scenes continued, if one or two of the sex scenes had been exchanged for a couple interacting in some other way, romance and love would have made more sense.
Although city girl, Pearl Connors and cheeky, Travis Sterling only wanted a one-night stand, they met again as Pearl applied for a housekeeper/cook position with the Sterling Ranch. Of course sweet Pearl was given the position but now Travis wants much more than a one-night stand.
All three brothers, Travis, Jace and Colton were similar in some many ways and were tired of their man whorish ways so I can't wait to see how each brother bits the dust in this series!
A sexy steamy interracial read. No matter what kind of storyline, this author's writing style holds your attention making you want more. Fast paced, hot and entertaining. Travis is sex on a stick, knows it and is used to getting the ladies. Pearl is new to town, settling her grandmothers estate falls under Travis's charm. Trying to put their one night stand behind her, Pearl tries to keep their relationship boss/employee. Instant attraction and chemistry. Loved their characters. Can't wait for more of these dirty talking panty-melting cowboys.
This was a instalust between these two. Its like the magnets that belong together once they are close enough can never be pulled apart. I loked that the pull was strong and they got to know each other beyond the sex. Sometimes the body knows what the heart is afraid to admit. There were some errors that could have been caught in editing. Overall a good IR story.
I received this book as an ACR for an honest review. I love this story! The Sterling brothers are rough hard-working cowboys keeping their farm going. Travis is the oldest brother and not looking for love. Pearl is all alone now that her grandmother has passed away. Moving to Granite to live in that house her grandmother left her is the only option she has left. This is the story of how Pearl finds a home and the place she belongs and how Travis helps her to find it. Wonderful story of loss and love found in the oddest places. Recommend to all romance readers! Looking forward to the next brothers book in the series. Hope you like hot dominating Cowboys that know their way around a women. Happy reading.
Jenika Snow is a fabulous writer no matter what genre she tackles. Her males are always alphas unlike any other. Travis is no exception; he makes every romantic with a wild heart sit up and take notice. I loved Rough in the Saddle and as always her exceptional books are never long enough. I absolutely recommend The Sterling Brothers series and any other outstanding story culled from the amazing fantastic imagination of Jenika Snow. Delane Reviewer for Coffee Time Romance & More
This is a great start to this new series. These were wonderfully written characters. The hot, dirty-mouthed cowboy Travis got to me. I loved Pearl, a city-girl thrust into this country life. Although they are from completely different worlds they have a burning passion for each other. Can love overcome all of that? I can’t wait to read more of this series. I always love all of Jenika’s books and this first Sterling brothers is one of my favorites. If you like hard working, dominating, sexy cowboys and strong women then this is a book you need to read.
Rough in the Saddle is a fun and steamy short story, featuring an interracial couple. Travis is the oldest of the Sterling brothers. A smoking hot alpha cowboy, and knows it. Pearl is a city girl who moved the country when she inherited her grandmother's home. A night together has Travis contemplating committing to one women and Pearl taking a chance on a arrogant panty wetting cowboy. Nice easy afternoon read.
I love to read stories with a confidant woman who love her curves and hot males who know what they want. I throughly enjoyed reading this book but toward then end it just felt choppy and rushed. But the overall plot was so much fun to read and you will love the characters! I can't wait for more of the brothers!
Travis and Pearl meet in a bar and have a one night stand thinking they'd never see each other again and boy are they wrong. Travis isn't knowing for being with the same woman more than once. Travis's brother places an ad in the paper for cook and cleaner. When Pearl shows up Travis knows he can't let her walk away. This is a quick read and very, very HOT!
I thought it was okay. Although the intimacy was a 5 star rating, the character interaction was a two. The conversation was stiff and silly at times and mostly left me rolling my eyes. If the characters were fully developed like the sexual encounters, this would be a 4 to 5 star read.
Interracial black woman white man erotic romance. Travis is a devastatingly hot cowboy. I liked his frankness I really liked his style. I also liked that he was a known manwhore who couldn't resist coming to her. I loved her frankness too. How she went in with both eyes wide open. Not expecting anything.
