The second part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure!

This part takes place 50 years after the events in Part 1: Phantom Blood following our new hero - Joseph Joestar! Wait, what happened to Jonathan? Well if you're asking that then you didn't read Part 1. Go do that. Joseph carries a 50 year old destiny on his back to defeat the stone mask and its creators once and for all!

Everyone has their own opinions, but I personally love Battle Tendency a lot more than Phantom Blood. It comes very close though. As

Villains that both creepy and fabulous at the same time. That also reminds me of the custodes from TTS show in youtube.

and a extremely likable NAZI.

I haven't read Phantom Blood, Star Dust & DIA but I did finish Vento Aureo & currently reading JoJolion because I become a fan of Araki because of the anime. I could confidently say that this is better than Vento.

I got a little excited and read it all in one day. It’s every bit as good as the anime and is a very nice work of art.
This was my favorite JoJo arc in the anime. Joseph is just such an over-the-top jerk of a character, and I love him so, so, SO much. Really looking forward to reading Battle Tendency in its entirety!

Just as with Phantom Blood, the art style is beautiful! The situations depicted can be horrendously graphic, but the characters themselves are wonderful to look at! I love the story, I love the art style...this is just a GREAT series!

Still enjoying Jojo's, but settling into the second arc is a little tough. We're in 1930s America, and to say the least, there are several dated cultural missteps. This volume dives right into Nazis and immortal superhumans, but the perspective is a little screwy to the modern reader. The new protagonist looks much like the old one, but this one's a really over the top jerkwad, and I'm struggling to like him. He's more interesting than Jonathan, and maybe I'll grow to appreciate him. I hope so a ...more

This part is where things start getting really bizarre, and has my favorite JoJo as the lead.

I've always loved Araki's work on JoJo. His writing is absolutely creative and his plot twists are unpredictable to catch. He really emphasizes the bizarre in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure from Phantom Blood to Jojolion. And he's been writing JoJo since the 80's. Impressive.

I always admired Battle Tendency to be one of the better arcs in the whole series. Although it was short, the story was jucier than the first one. The second arc, Battle Tendency, features the last protagonist's grandson Joseph Jo

Yep, this manga series is still delightfully crazy in this first volume of Part 2 of the overall story. I'll definitely be writing a blog about it soon, but if you want an immediate reaction, I'd say it's a slightly different direction, jumping 50 years into the future and following another member of the Joestar family, one with more of an attitude than his grandfather. Lots of gross gore, plenty of weird touches, and all sorts of insanity. I love it, and I can't wait for the next volume.
