Sent to me by author in exchange for an honest review

I didn't read any reviews at all before starting Hey Sunshine and I didn't really know what it was about so I had no idea what to expect. However, I could have never been prepared by how much I would love this book.

The first 15 pages kind of had me unsure but holy crap, once this book got going, it was full speed ahead. I loved this book this so, so much. I put off writing a review for a whole week because I just can't say any coherent thoughts.

I loved the characters so much. They're were believable and flawed and so wonderful. Avery was so awesome! She didn't take any crap and she would call people out on their actions. She was one of the best written NA characters I've ever read about.
I could go on and on about Fox. He was so good but he also wasn't over the top perfect. He seemed very real and believable.

Overall, I loved this book so, so much. As soon as I finished it, I wanted to reread it. I loved the plot and the characters. The writing was amazing. I could gush about this book forever. Not only is this book one of my favorites of 2015, it's one of my new all time favorites. I highly, highly recommend getting this book.

I really enjoyed this one and could not put it down. It was a fun quick read but I did find some parts to be too extreme, and unlikely. Still it's a step up from the NA typical love stories.

I loved Beckett Fox (his name!) every time he came up, I would swoon. His character was so mysterious and intriguing.

The epilogue is crazy and I'm wondering if i want to continue with the second book, .___.

This is a sweet and inspiring story of finding love. There’s quite a bit of humour throughout, and even a touch of angst. Fox is almost too perfect, and I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, though it never does. He really is the perfect guy! I don’t know why she didn’t dump Chase sooner to be with him. It turns out that this is the first in a trilogy, all with the same couple, but it honestly reads as a standalone (especially if you skip the super brief epilogue, which hints at some drama coming down the line!)

Okay, Hey Sunshine is definitely one of my new favorites. It's such a unique and refreshing NA story. Avery's character is amazing; I love how strong, independent, and caring she is. I absolutely L O V E Fox. He's officially made his way into my top favorite male characters list! Fox and Avery's relationship is basically goals, haha. I loved how they took it slow, and didn't rush into anything. And how loving Fox was to Annabelle! *heart eyes* Chase bugged the hell out of me. I kind of wanted to smack him. xD
Oh, but that ending though! wth? When is the 2nd book coming out?! I need to know what's going to happen next!

* The author of this book sent me this copy in exchange for an honest review, so don’t expect less than that, I will always give my honest opinion, like it or not *

I loved this book soooo much ! I NEED TO OWN THIS BOOK… LIKE PHYSICALLY, I really need it, I need to have this bae on my shelves.

I guess that everyone already knows that NA is one of my favorite genres to read and this book didn’t disappoint me at all.

Tia sent me digital editions of her two books “Hey Sunshine” and “Night Fox” in exchange for honest reviews and I can’t wait to start reading the second book because this one ?! it just blew me away.

I wanted to read this book for a long time now, I knew nothing about it, the only thing I knew was that this book was/is a NA Romance and that the cover is absolutely stunning… and that’s it, but I was really interested on reading these books because I heard a lot of great things about this story coming from great Bookstagrammers and great Book Bloggers… I just don’t even have words to describe this book and to describe what I am feeling right now.

First things first… I LOVED the characters. I mean, I loved the characters that I was supposed to love and I hated the characters that I was supposed to hate. I loved the main characters really much, Avery, Fox and Annabelle were my favorite three in this awesome story (especially baby Annabelle, I was constantly melting for her), and I HATED, just HATED Chase since the beginning of the book. I am being totally honest with you, this may sound pretty strange but since the first second Chase appeared in this book I hated him, I hated everything about him, I just couldn’t stand him the whole time I was reading the book and everytime he would make an appearance… seriously, I just wanted to throw up… and ONCE AGAIN, my “female” instincts were totally right. CHASE IS A JERK (this is not a spoiler guys, if you didn’t read this book but you are starting reading it, or thinking about that you’ll just find it out really soon, believe me… you can notice his jerkiness from miles away).

I really enjoyed this book, I will start the second book really soon and I can’t wait to find out how this story goes from now on.

I totally recommend this book to everyone, even if you don’t like NA books, I don’t care, just read this one because it is seriously awesome !

WAIT? WHAT JUST HAPPENED? THAT ENDING? AHHHH. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT.... AND THEN?? AHHHHHH.
So glad to have read this book! Once in a while I love to read a good NA book and this one definitely hooked me since the beginning. I love that they did not rush into anything, it was slow, but for them it was perfect, just what they needed it.
FOXXXXXXX♥ I LOVE THAT MAN. ALL ABOUT HIM.
Avery, that girl was such an independient and brave woman, I really am in awe of her. She deserves a damn HEA. She have had enough ahhh. I need book two. Not knowing what is going to happen is killing me.
So if you love NA books and you are looking for a light, sweet, with the perfect amount of mistery this is the book for you. Mwah.

2017 Audible Review:
Even 2 years later I absolutely adore this book to pieces. This is one of my all time favorite books! I was excited to see this went on Audible. I'm not a rereader by nature though I always want to reread books.
Amanda, the narrator nailed Avery's story spot on. Though at times the audio got choppy and faded out, I don't rate based on something like that. I base it on their ability to play the character and deliver a story to the reader. And Amanda did just that! 5 stars; all time favorite book, though this was already established.
More people need to read these books because this series and this author do not get enough attention. I adore Tia as a person and absolutely love all 3 of her books!

Original 2015 Review:

WHAT!? WHAT JUST HAPPENED! That ending killed me. ugh. December... HURRY UP PLEASE!
I had no idea I was going to love this book as much as I did. I read this with one of my friends and we are both obsessing over this book. This is easily, for both of us, one of our favorite books so far this year!! I'm so thankful that Tia contacted me asking to review this. This book was absolutely perfect. I'm obsessed with this book. There's a certain type of guy I like and not to throw out spoilers, but Fox is one of those guys. Once you read this book, you will understand why. Guys like this make my heart burst into thousands of pieces. I can't even form coherent thoughts right now and I feel like Avery. ;) I'll have more complete thoughts when I've had time to digest this book and think a little. Easily a top 5 favorite book this year. Absolutely obsessed and DYING for december. NEED MORE!!!!!!

UMMM WHAT?! What kind of awful, scary ending is that?

I have been reading and reviewing a lot of horror books lately, and I wanted a change, so I knew that I needed to pick up a New Adult novel. They are always perfect when I need a change or when I am in a slump. So I scrolled through what was on my Kindle, because I was too lazy to go to my bookshelf, and decided on this. I saw it on Instagram in passing a few months ago, and I follow the author as well. There aren't many reviews on it, but the ones that do exist are good, and it was short, so I jumped it....

...and it didn't let me go. I got sucked into these characters, into the story and just let it take me.

Normally I am not a fan of the perfect guy. It is way to unrealistic, and I get annoyed easily, but I freaking LOVE Fox! And Avery wasn't an annoying protagonist, thank goodness, she wasn't too finicky or wishy washy, she may have questioned things occasionally, but on more than one occasion she knew exactly what she wanted and went for it, and followed through with her decisions. I like that about her.

I also felt an extra attachment to the story because the relationship with Fox and Annabelle was just too sweet. I guess as a mom, and based on some of my life experiences, I could sympathize with Avery. I love when authors add a child to the story, even with single moms or being too young, because it is very realistic. Not everyone is a single, carefree twenty-something. Some of us are parents, and students, and work full time, and it is a struggle. It is nice to see that reflected.

So everything is finally moving along perfectly and smoothly and freaking beautifully, and then the epilogue FUCKS YOU UP. Like, WHAT? No. Nonononono.... ugh I wanted a sequel, but not set up like that! Dang it.

Okay so yes this is a fluffy, wonderful, NA novel that deserves more attention and was the PERFECT choice for breaking up the flow of horrors and thrillers I had been reading.

So if you like NA, check it out!

The lovely author sent this to me in exchange for an honest review.

I would love to start this review by thanking the wonderful author for sending me her novel. Thank you so much for sending me such a great story. I loved it.

Now, to the review.

This novel is a story of love in all forms. It was so refreshing to read about a character who is just surrounded by incredible people. I honestly loved every character.. well almost every character.

I am not the greatest at writing "professional" looking reviews, so I will write this like I always do... in point form. So here are all the reasons you should go out, buy, and devour this book.

1. It was such a refreshing story. Yes there were small moments of drama, but ultimately, the usually/typical NA drama took a backseat in this story.

2. Incredible characters.

- Avery: She was strong, independent, caring and relatable. She took everything in stride, and kept her priorities in order. I LOVED HER.

- Fox: All I can say about Mr. Fox is that he is now one of my favorite New Adult genre males. I would die of happiness if I was ever lucky enough to love a man with a heart like Fox's.

- Annabelle: LOVE.

- Heather: I love when main characters have a great support system. Heather was an awesome Best Friend, and she bakes. I love pastries. ;)

- Joy: I loved her moments in the book, she reminds me of a sassy older lady.

3. Romance.

I often feel as though romance in New Adult novels is completely overshadowed by lust/sex and having the man "show/make her feel things she's never felt before". Always having a woman who isn't very experienced, with a man who knows anything and everything about pleasuring a woman... Sure, don't get me wrong. I enjoy those books too, but this was just so much more than that. The attraction was instant, but it wasn't all about sex. The romance was slow burning. Their relationship was genuine and heart warming. Definitely refreshing.

4. Writing.

Tia can write. I never once found myself rolling my eyes at cheesy dialogue, or narration. She paced this story beautifully, which made the romance seem more realistic.

Overall, this was a fantastic New Adult Romance that has great characters, incredible romance and the perfect amount of drama to keep you turning every page until the end.

Oh, and about the end. Prepare for a cliffhanger! But don't fear, the sequel comes out in December!

Rereading this beauty before I read Night Fox tomorrow... even though I read it for the first time in August of this year. It`s just too good to pass up the chance for a rereading

After rereading;
Just as amazing the second time around. And that epilogue kills me. My body is so ready for all the feels Night Fox is sure to induce!

"I'd be willing to scrub away my shame on his washboard abs."
I am so glad to have finally had the chance to read this! I saw a friend of mine raving about it and I couldn't wait to read it. I am so glad to announce that it didn't disappoint! The plot was intriguing from the start and I fell in love from the flashback with Chase. (He was so adorable pg. 7!) This book had everything and it made me feel so many different emotions... It was hilarious, bittersweet, serious, heartbreaking, terrifying, and everything in between. One second, she had me laughing so hard and gasping for breath from pain the next. I read this in one sitting since I couldn't tear my eyes away. If I took a quick break, my heart would yearn to crack it open again the second I walked away. Let's just say I didn't get much of life done.
I love it when people in a relationship bring something new to my table. Something I haven't read a couple of doing yet, and this book was it! The characters were unique in their own way and made the best of memories that I never saw coming.
I swear, New Adult is life and Tia made me fall in love with the genre even more!
I can't forget about FOX!! Fox was... incredible. I admit, I couldn't get enough of him. I kept yearning for the next glimpse of him, as much as Avery, and when I had it... it just wasn't enough. This man can do no wrong and I am ecstatic to add him to my favorites list!
I need the next book, right this second! I have a feeling I know what's in store for us (and from who) and I just can't wait!!
Tia, you have made an obsessed fangirl out of me... Thank you so much!

Good God this was a hidden jewel. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the bookstagram account that brought it to my attention. Foxes are my new favorite obsession because the fox in this book is ten flavors of delicious.

This is one of those books where it's better if I dont say a whole lot so I dont ruin surprises for you. I don't even want to tell you about it because I don't want you to read it, I want Fox all to myself. But really? You need to read this...now! And I need Night Fox.. now!

Being the way he was just made this book even better! I'll have a more elaborate review later on my blog :)

DNF. Slight Rant review. Small spoilers

I tried I really did. I didn't like this book because the Heroine was such a pushover she takes her ex back after no contact for 4 years after he left her after high-school. No explanation or anything (my eyeballs are completely in the back of my head). Well there is a second love interest so I kept on pushing. I love Fox he's a gentleman a complete unicorn but still a perfect book boyfriend. So this great guy comes along and she is still trying to give chase a chance smh. Then I'm at %66 and it's a complete throw in the towel. She gets mad at Fox for not telling her that Chase was a piece of shit. Well it's her own damn fault for giving him a chance when he already didn't deserve one. I honestly would continue this book if Avery wasn't in it. And I probably would have like the story more if the whole ex boyfriend from high school wasn't in it. The book was good without that part anyways. I'm sad that I wasted almost a week trying to get through this.

I can't believe that I am just discovering this series! Sometimes I feel like I've been living under a rock. I seriously have been binge reading on these two books this past week. They have kept me enthralled from the very first page up until the very last sentence. This is one of the best contemporary novels that I have read this year, and it's definitely going on my list for my favorites of 2016. Tia Giacalone I freaking adore your books!

The main character Avery Kent is a wonderful young woman. She is smart, independent, hardworking, and a dedicated single mother. I very much admired her and how much she wants to make a better life for her daughter and herself. Avery also has a strong relationship with her parents, which was great to see. When her old high school boyfriend arrives back in town, along with a mysterious and handsome stranger, named Beckett Fox, who changes her life forever. This man is kind hearted, generous, devoted, a true family man,  and I loved how caring he was toward little Annabelle.

Oh Fox, how magnificent he is. Now the blossoming relationship between Avery and Fox was absolutely romantic and passionate. Their connection was very strong right from the start. This book had me smiling and swooning, especially towards the end. But with the cliffhanger that Tia leaves us with will have you wanting book two immediately.

Okay, so I loved this book!! Like crazy!! It was so amazing. Every part of this book. Except Chase!! Oh lord he drove me nuts but you get past that once Fox comes into the picture! He is perfect in every way! I love him, he's definitely going down in my top guys. He was so sweet and sexy at the same time! Fox can do no wrong in my book. Avery is an amazing character. I really liked her, I found myself relating to her a lot. And Annabelle is just the sweetest!! But the ENDING??? Why??? There are so many unanswered question!! Can the next book be out already!! My baby Fox, I NEED him!!! But if you are looking for a good book this is totally one for you!! The characters were amazing, the plot was so intriguing. I could rant about this book forever but you just need to go read it!

I started reading (I bought it in print way before I knew I will love it) this book after TaylorReads said that this is a book she will reread this year and I just wanted to have it. And I loved it! I liked that the story , especially their relationship took time. I hate books where they just jump on each other! Fox was so nice ! I loved his family . Avery was nice, sometimes insecure, but I liked her. And Bels! She is so adorable! I don't know if I'm a fan of Chase, but I think HE DESERVES HIS HAPPY END TOO

I loved this book so much I haven't loved a new adult book this much in a while it gave me everything I love in NA. It had amazing romance that gave me feels, a guy who was super sweet and definitely a new book boyfriend and had moments that had my heart racing. That epilogue has me worried but I cannot wait to continue!

Everyone knows that both Taylor (@taylorreads) and I are really annoying and pushy when we read a book we really like. Well, Taylor read Hey Sunshine a few months ago by Tia Giacalone and she has not shut up about it.

That being said, at some point during her rants in trying to convince me that this is the next big thing, she sent me a copy. And the first thing I thought was wow, okay this cover is gorgeous. This needs to be read.

So I'm sitting on the plane, prepping for a long flight home and I realize I tossed it into my carry on. Little did I know the whirlwind that was about to ensue.

I was hooked from page one. Honestly, I was immediately sucked into the lives of these complex and unique characters that truly made you feel for them with every page. Giacalone has an incredible writing style that just flows flawlessly, and I could not get enough.

Let's just say by the end of the flight I was halfway done with the book, and couldn't wait to get home so I could keep reading.

These characters were so realistic and sassy and lovable that I just wanted to be apart of their journey. I never, for one second, found myself questioning the motives of these characters and realized quickly how much I could relate.

The way this book seamlessly flowed made me not even realize I was flipping pages as fast as I was - next thing I knew I had 20 pages left!

I giggled, I cried, I fell a little bit more in love with my own boyfriend and I thanked my lucky stars for Taylor for sending me a copy.

This book is the definition of what Independent Publishing is all about and I'm so blown away by this novel, I already have the sequel on order and it should be arriving in 2 days!

HEY SUNSHINE is a niche little indie book that a few of my friends adore. Going into it, I was expecting to feel the same way, but I was tragically disappointed.

This novel delivered an interesting story and took no time in diving right in. We are swiftly carried through Avery’s early life, where she falls in love only to be left heartbroken, then becomes pregnant and gives birth to her daughter Annabelle.

Now before I get into my dislikes, I do have to mention that I believe Avery was a great main character. I felt she had realistic thoughts and ideals, and I loved her relationship with her daughter. But her love interest, Fox, on the other hand, was the most ridiculous love interest I have ever read.

“You bought a new truck,” I said, shaking my head. “You’re nuts. You bought a new truck just in case you had to drive me and Annabelle around?”

“No,” Fox said, opening the passenger door. “I bought a new truck because I plan on driving you both frequently. Get in.”

What? WHAT?

Keep in mind, Avery and Fox aren’t dating, but he bought her truck to drive her and her daughter around. On top of this, Fox has perfect hair, a ridiculous body, loves to classic books and rides a motorcycle. Oh, and he has dimples, which Avery must mention at least a hundred times. I’m not even joking.

HEY SUNSHINE was an entertaining read, but unfortunately I found it much too predictable and cheesy. Giacalone is a great writer, but she took all of the elements of every woman’s dream guy and made Fox, and that just didn’t wasn’t realistic for me at all.

I discovered Tia Giacalone at a book signing. I had never read any of her work and to be honest, her book cover intrigued me. I am a sucker for a good romance novel and haven't gotten stuck in one for some time. I have been trying to fall in love with a book again and this broke me free of my romance novel slump!

I am so glad I discovered Giacalone! "Hey Sunshine" was beautifully written. The main characters were nothing short of perfect. The small plot twists and turns weren't completely unrealistic and kept me wanting to read more. I could picture each page clearly because of how detailed and wonderfully written each scene was.

Fox was absolutely perfect. She created such a strong character full of nothing but love and compassion. It was nice to read about a man that had not a mean bone in his body.

Giacalone has easily become one of my favorite authors. I can't wait to read more!

P.s. This book is a trilogy. My life is over.

A difficult one. I knew about this book maybe two years ago and I got obsessed with the cover. I really wanted to enjoy it but It wasn't as good as I wanted :c
Kind of average plot, characters, etc. If I'm honest it was really difficult for me to get it finished because I was really bored. I felt like half of this book wasn't really necessary, nothing important or relevant was happening so they were just empty and boring pages for me :c

Something that frustrated me SO HARD...... NO REALITY IN THIS BOOK. The guy is just perfect and for no reason he loves everything of her and he will do anything to make her feel happy.. UGH!! THAT'S NOT REAL LIFE!!! P.P *frustrated*
But something positive? I thought nothing could make this book better at the end BUT a really smart author wrote an epilogue that made me want to read there sequel in spite of how much I didn't enjoy part of this book. So, applauses for that :D

"Can dimples wink? Because I felt like his just did."

I really enjoyed this book. It's was well written and an easy read. It was told in the first person POV (Avery). I got sucked into the story quickly and rooted for Fox and Avery throughout the book.

Avery is a fiercely independent single mother who has a hard time accepting help from anyone. I really liked her character, her life may have not followed the path that she expected but she didn't let that keep her down and she was determined to follow her dreams.

Fox is an wildfire fighting medic with a hero complex with his sites set on Avery. He knows he can't push her and honestly, it's sexy as hell the way he loves her and her daughter. He's alpha but not overbearing; the strong silent type and Avery doesn't know what hit her
