Trixie is still quite young by vampire standards and boy does she live up to her reputation! Bold, brash., with attitude but Trixie is not really the bratty punk she pretends to be. What she really doesn't need though is the cowboy vampire Dakota poking his ( admittedly attractive) nose in her business so when he follows her one night lets just say Trixie is not exactly jumping for joy. Dakota lost his maker and has missed out on that close bond but when he scents something deadly near Trixie it ...more

Dakota is a home town cowboy with fangs. Cinnamon lollipop eating, his quiet demeanor only hides his prowess on the battle field.

Trixie is the epitome of the goth vampire. Bold, in your face attitude, she dresses like a young punk rocker and has personality to back it up.

Little in common, except vampirism, when their world collides sparks fly.

Humor, action and a very twisty plot makes The Good, The Bad, and The Vampire and great, sexy, paranormal romance read.

I received this ARC copy of The Good

3.5 Sexy, cinnamon cowboy stars

Trixie hides behind her tough-as-nails, punk rock attitude. She hides the guilt and remorse she has because of bad decisions she made as a human. And basically keeps a part of herself hidden from everyone, even the people she is close to. But then sexy vampire cowboy, Dakota Shelton, comes to town, and it takes everything she has to keep him at a distance.

Dakota is from Texas, a cowboy at heart, who loves his cinnamon lollipops, because they remind him of being

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***Received a copy of the ebook for an honest review via Netgalley

The cover is hot, and it definitely fits in with the rest of the series.

This is the 4th book in the series. As soon as I saw this book, I knew I wanted to read it because I loved book 3. This book is for adults only due to the steamy content.

I loved reading this book. I hated that it took me so long, but life was interfering with my enjoyment of this book. I wanted to sit down and

Although this book it can certainly be read as a stand alone book and i really did enjoy it.

This book includes a lot of paranormal beings, Vampires, Demons, Witches and Gargoyles and meshed them to make a really good story with an original storyline.

Trixie was funny and stronger than she realised and Dakota was a true gentleman.

You really feel that you are going through Trixie's emotions and are really there with her, espec

Initial Thoughts: I enjoyed this latest offering of the Dead in the City series. This is one of those fun and no fuss series that you can always just pick up and read. Though you do need to read them in order; they are always witty, passionate and a great ride. I enjoyed watching Dakota and Trixie dance around each other. As each one of the obstacles that they had to their Happily Ever After would come down, another would seem to pop up. However, I really enjoyed the addition of the gargoyles as ...more

Even though he is highly skilled and deadly dangerous, Dakota Shelton is still just a good ol’ boy with his heart set on wooing the most badass punk rock chick in town in this exciting paranormal romance.

Trixie LaRoux is tough as nails and the last thing she wants is a man and the readers can’t help but get caught up in the fireworks that fly when Trixie and Dakota go to hell and back fighting a new threat to vampires. There is no denying the sizzling chemistry between Dakota and Trixie

Dakota Shelton is a vampire cowboy with a penchant for cinnamon lollipops and Johnny Cash. Though highly skilled and deadly dangerous to his enemies, he's still a Texas good ol' boy at heart. And he has that heart set on wooing Trixie LaRoux-the most badass punk rock chick in town-the old-fashioned way.

The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire is my favorite in Sara Humphrey's Dead in the City series! How can you not love a cowboy vampire with a lollipop fetish?

The heroine, Trixie puts out this punk rocker attitude. She outspoken and acts like she doesn't care about much. But it's all a mask to hide the hurt she feels over her past. So she's thrown for a loop when this Texan yahoo shows up in her Coven (vampire family) and has her feeling things s

Totally awesome

I loved reading Dakota and Trixie's story. I felt like I was taking this journey with Trixie and learning life lessons right along with her. Your past doesn't dictate your future. And Dakota, what can I say about him, he's a hot cowboy vampire. I think I've found my new book boyfriend.
Well done Sara Humphreys. You keep writing them and I'll keep buying them.

The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire is so far my favorite in Sara Humphrey's Dead in the City series! Dakota, a vampire, a cowboy, fierce, brutal and a sentry loves his lollipops.
Trixie his future bloodmate hides behind a punk rocker attitude. Trixie is outspoken and acts like she doesn't care about much, but this is her way of protecting herself from the hurt she feels over her past.
They are opposites, but his attraction to her began the first time he saw her. She fights it but nature will have

I accidentally started this story at book 4 of the Dead in the City series and with only a little confusion on the world building I felt this read pretty well as a stand-alone. Trixie is a vampire but she's still a pretty young vampire. Young enough to still have blood family living and when that family is threatened she's ready to throw her training away to try and save them. Dakota has been trying hard to not act on his attraction to Trixie but when it's discovered they're bloodmates, he can't ...more

The fourth book of Dead in The City Series by Sara Humphreys and I believe this is not the final book coz there's Damien and Suzie. It's Trixie, our punk and sexy Bartender heroine and Dakota, our Cowboy cinnamon lollipop sucker vampire Sentry story. I love Dakota! Ever since he was introduced in the series. I'm so glad that it's his and Trixie's turn have a love story. I crack so much at the first part of this book when Suzie just tell the whole coven minus Sadie and Killian who are currently i ...more

A cowboy and a punk rock chick? Both vampires? I wasn't exactly sure what to expect because this is my first book in this series. I thought it would be a fun, sexy story about opposites attracting which it was, but it's also a tale of regrets, treachery, betrayal and love.

Dakota Shelton is just a good ol' cowboy from Texas and quite out of his element in New York, but the scenery in the form of one tough as nails punk rock chick is quite interesting and Dakota has never been one to back down fro

A fast-paced, sexy shifter romance...

"You are a spitfire of a woman, do you know that? You remind me of a horse that hasn't been broken yet. All skittish and full of wild energy."
"Are you for real?" Her jaw fell open. "Did you just compare me to a horse?"

THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE VAMPIRE by Sara Humphreys is a fast-paced, sexy shifter romance. It's the fourth book in Sara's Dead in the City series, but don't let that steer you away, because it works well as a standalone, if that is your pref

Another fabulous addition to one of my favorite worlds to visit, The Good, the Bad, and the Vampire was everything I hoped it would be and so much more!
Trixie with her punk rock attitude has had my curiosity building with each appearance in previous books and I was really excited to get her story, especially when Dakota and his lollipops came onto the scene.

There is so much going on in this book that it’s hard to put all of my gushy feelings into words

Finally I made it to the book that prompted me to work through this entire series recently. I was approved for this book review late in 2015 and since there were not that many previous book I decided to start at the beginning. An excellent choice by the way and I highly recommend it if you are new to this spin-off series. So was it worth all the effort? Yes, I have discovered a delightful new world to play in and I want to go and check out the series that this one is spun off of. This book howev ...more

This is the 4th book in the Dead in the City series. The author had created this wonderful paranormal world set in modern day New York. Vampires, shifters, gargoyles, witches…this book brings out all the things that go bump in the night! We meet Dakota, newest enforcer for the Vampires. He is a classic good old fashioned cowboy. A very s3xy cowboy. He has his eye Ms. Trixie LaRoux. Being the bad a$$ party girl that she is, she has no intention of getting involved with a vampire. She absolutely d ...more

The Good, the Bad and the Vampire is the 4th book in the Dead in the City series by Sara Humpreys. It continues the trend with an entertaining story and characters that stand out from one another. I liked Dakota and Trixie together. Dakota was charming and sexy and worked hard to gain Trixie’s trust. Trixie was spunky and tough with a deeply vulnerable side that she does her best to keep hidden. I appreciated, that their romance wasn’t an instant love story. WOW!!! how Love Sara Humphreys' Dead in the City Series.
I love the story-line on fated mates (or blood mates as she
calls it). I have loved these books from the first book.
Although these can be read as standalones. I recommend
you read them all in order, as there is background story that
unfolds as each book progresses. Like how the coven moves along with each couple as they find one another. Now this

Trixies got a past that hurts, and this cowboy trying to make it feel better is slowly but surely getting in there, but can she risk it?

It has been a while since I have read a story of vampires. Although this is the 4th book in a series and I have not read any of the previous books, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Given that, I would like to go back and read the others in the series. For me, this was such a different take on vampires and the interaction of the paranormal world. There was so much involved and enriched story between Trixie, the badass chick and Dakota, the Texas cowboy. I was so into this book that I read it in on ...more

The Universe has fun pairing up a cowboy from Texas and a punk rock from New York. And they're both vampires. This is one of Ms. Humphreys' best books of the series. She cares enough to hone her craft which improves her writing. Having read the first three, I noticed the smooth flow of the plot, effective portrayal of characters, and creative language that graces this book.

The highs and lows of Trixie and Dakota kept me reading into the night many times. Rooting for their love to work for them a

Another great instalment to the Dead in the City series, I really enjoy this author, her writing style and the banter between her characters! Though this could be read as a stand alone, I'd suggest starting at the beginning of the series before this one as old characters play roles in each book and to help give you a clear picture of the world.
I must admit I did enjoy the H and the h's relationship from start to finish. It was great also to hear about the lives of the previous characters, witho

Even though he is highly skilled and deadly dangerous, Dakota Shelton is still just a good ol’ boy with his heart set on wooing the most badass punk rock chick in town in this exciting paranormal romance. The NYC vamps have done it again as I was completely delighted by Dakota and Trixie’s story as they both charmed me with their quick witted personalities and of course who can resist a sexy vampire cowboy…certainly not this woman.
