Ally Marshall isn’t just a wolf shifter — she’s a Seer.

But a girl doesn’t exactly need special powers to know that Derren Hudson despises her entire kind. Disdain practically rolls off the Beta of the Mercury Pack . . . disdain mixed with a healthy dose of desire. And no matter how much the ruggedly handsome male appeals to her, this is one call of the wild she’s determin

The book's main couple Shaya & Nick are the Alpha Pair of the Mercury Pack. So I would say at a minimum to read that one. In my opinion, that book should be book #1 in the Mercury Pack series as well as #3 of the Phoenix Pack. As mentioned in other answers, the characters from both series do overlap and probably will continue to do so I would think as many of them are personally interconnected to each other. I have seen publishers do this mid series to make it more tidy in their eyes, but in reality it is still all the same series to me. For the full experience, I would say read them all. It is a great series that I would highly recommend and if you are an Amazon Unlimited member, you can read and listen to them for free.(less)

Well, since then, I have been "found."

Alright alright – here’s a plot summary. (If you’ve read much werewolf stuff you’ll probably recognize it.) Ally is a lone wolf (*hyuck hyuck*). I am a great fan of Suzanne Wright since reading her Deep in Your Veins Series.

Spiral of Need is the 1st book in the Mercury Pack Series, a spinoff from her other shifter series, The Phoenix Pack, which I haven’t read yet. Although this book can be read as a standalone, I would have liked to have read the Phoenix Pack series before to know more about the characters from it that make appearances in this book. However, the author gives us quite a bit of back-story on the characters and their stori

It's been a while since I've read a Suzanne Wright book, and I've totally forgotten how entertaining her stories and her characters are. Spiral of Need is the first book from her Mercury Pack series, which spin off of her Phoenix Pack series. And based on what I've read from this book, I'd say this series is off to a good start.

Ally Marshall isn't just a shifter, she's a seer too. After being driven off out of her old pack by a jealous mate, Ally had no choice but to accept shelter from Derren H

I do sense a pattern.
Why break what works, right? :D

This is my third book by Suzanne Wright and I do have to say there are definite similarities in all of them.

✔A kickass dominate female who takes no shit from males.
✔A hero afraid of love and bonding.
✔Crazy sex with lots of biting.
✔A wtf true-mate-bond-snapping moment.

Did I cover it all? :D

Oh, and of course this:

With that said, I am planning to read the latest installment of this series Force of Temptation (The Mercury Pack, #2) by Suzanne Wright. But I do think I need a break because

Spiral of Need is another winner by Werewolf PRN Author Suzanne Wright! She has a formula for her alpha males and leading ladies that always draws me in and holds me captive until the last word is consumed!

As Spiral of Need begins, Ally "a seer" (a shifter wolf who has the ability to see the future) finds herself in a precarious predicament with her pack. She has been wrongly accused of injuring her BETA wolf. She is facing judgement and severe bullying by her pack mat

“hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.”

Ally Marshall is a seerer with no pack and no home, all because of one jealous she-bitch who decided to make her life a living hell. She gets put in the hands of Derren, beta wolf of the Mercury Pack, only he's not so thrilled of the babysitting duty, but it's a request he isn't willing to deny.

Pretty much disliked by the entire Mercury pack, with the exception of the alpha female, Ally keeps to herself not wanting to rock any more boats. But a

This is a great romance and a great wolf shifter action story. There are two main plots, and one of them is something I've wondered about before. In this universe, shifters have fated mates. Sometimes they don't meet, though. As this author writes it, the shifters can fall in love with someone and become so close they imprint and mate. Some think it is wrong not to wait for their fated mate and so resist imprinting and don't think well of others who imprint. This story starts with a female wolf ...more

For the first book of a new series this should come with a warning that you must read the The Phoenix Pack series first otherwise you will be completely lost. Heck, I've read most of the series except the last book and I still felt confused at certain points.

That's not saying that the book wasn't good or that I didn't enjoy it,just that it was very heavily reliant on past events particularly from Dark Instincts, the fourth book of the Phoenix Pack, as well as having basically everyone fro

Once again I’m late to this party so I’ll keep it brief.

I really enjoyed this book. One of things you’re guaranteed with this author is a strong female lead. And that in itself makes it worth reading her books. We also get a strong alpha (or beta male) and some sarcastic humour.

Ally is a great character. A shifter and a seer. The problem is most shifters hate seers and with good reason. Ally finds resentment, hate and mistrust whenever she encounters someone new. But life in her existing pack ha

Ally is a shifter, but also a Seer, a person who receives visions about the future. Unfortunately, being a Seer makes Ally the victim of prejudices because a few Seers have abused their powers. This is not why she needs to switch packs, though. Ally was involved with another shifter, Zeke, to the point of imprinting because they wanted to be together in spite of not being mates, but then Zeke’s mate was discovered. Ally graciously stepped aside with her heart a little broken, but she genuinely w ...more

I loved the heroine, she was very strong and awesome and I also loved the hero.

Her writing style is just so addictive and her characters are my favorite kind of people with the perfect sense of humor.
