*Disclaimer* I received this book from Reading Alley in return for a fair and honest review.

This story starts with Alicia already knowing that Josh turns into a big cat. What we don't know (and nor does she) is how she feels about that. Josh is being patient because he feels that if he gives her space, she is more likely to accept him for who he is.

The whole space thing works until Alicia is attacked a number of times and it isn't clear just who is behind it. Josh's instincts to protect his mate
I beta read this book, for Dahlia, and I was also given an updated version too.

Alicia is Ivy's best friend. Joshua is a member of Blackbird Security. He is also a shifter, a huge black panther to be exact.

When Alicia's life is threatened, Josh goes into full on protection mode. His wolf knows who she is, and he just needs Alicia to make a decision, to mate with him or not?

Oh I do love this pack and its people! I really do.

We have met Alicia and Josh before, Alicia even know Josh has an alter ego

Loved this book, going to go back and start from the beginning!
I have to start off by saying that I have not read the previous books in this series, but it was listed as can be read as a stand alone, and I was not disappointed. Alicia is written as strong and capable of dealing with the many dangerous, and difficult problems before her. Her mother is I'll and she also has a romantic relationship developing with a hot, panther named Josh, He has no doubt in his mind that s

Alicia got the shock of her life when the guy interested in her turned into a giant cat. But even more so when he said she was his mate. Is one guy forever what she really wants?

Just when the two of them seem to be figuring things out Alicia is attacked on several fronts and Josh must ensure her safety while he and the rest of the team try to figure out who is after her.

What a great continuation in the adventures of the Blackbird Pack! This new book brings us further into the story of the Pack, as well as giving us the delightful (and often HOT) tale of Alicia and Josh. The characters are well developed, the story has depth and touches on some issues we all face. For example, Alicia's mother's health and the often discordant family dynamics.. descriptions of places and things that are so beautiful and vivid you can almost feel them.. Both main characters are st ...more

After being teased with Alicia and Josh's story in 'Twelve Days', I eagerly delved into their full story and it didn't disappoint. An action packed read as the chase takes Alicia and Josh to Morroco, Scotland and London as they face danger on all sides. It is emotionally poignant as Alicia comes to terms with her mother's deteriorating illness and extreme change in behaviour towards her. We see Alicia feelings of shock and uncertainty from discovering Josh's shifter secret. While Josh has never ...more

5 stars: An awesome adventure full of love

I received a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.

I will never get enough of the Blackbirds. The more the story develops, the more I fall in love with the characters. This book is extremely emotional and gripping. This book focuses on Alicia and her budding relationship with the tasty panther, Josh. When there is an attack at Ivy’s wedding, the pack tries to stay one step ahead of the multiple threats that they find are after them. I admir

Now let me tell you what I think of amazing author. Ms.Donovan has so much talent and imagination which shows as you read her books. She is able to capture you right off from the very first page of the story. It is truly remarkable. Her shape sifters come to life and jump off the page at you. As she takes you around the world keeping Alicia safe - you are able to visualize each scene in the smallest detail. Ms, Donovan is unique once she sets pen to paper and starts telling her story of her sift ...more

This book was longer than any of the other books in the series. I really liked that. You got to read more about the other characters in the series not just about Alicia and Josh. Alicia found out that Josh is a panther during the 12 days Christmas book. This book picks up shortly after that. You get to read about planning Ivy’s wedding as well as the wedding. You get little tid bits about Elaine and Alim, Alicia’s uncle. This book had lots of action and danger. The whole group is being targeted ...more

Complicated and Realistic Romance

Alicia is the fifth book in the Blackbird series by Dahlia Donovan. This book is part of a series and is best read as part of the series. If you don’t you will feel that you are missing part of the story and things don’t always make sense.

The beginning of the story leaves you interested in how this book will turn out. At the end of the first chapter, I was excited to see how this book will end. The world the author created is very realistic and believable. The

Exciting adventure with plenty of mystery and edge of your seat action. Murder, intrigue, hit and runs, lies and manipulations along with threats and intimidation's. Meshed in with this drama is the story of Alicia and her strong attachment to Josh, a panther shifter. Although the beginning was a little slow, the pace soon picked up and the thriller train took off. The reader is entertained and firmly hooked to continue the series. I was given

Alright, so I will admit that I haven't read any of the Blackbird series before and I probably would have enjoyed Alicia even more than I already did if I had(and I'll certainly read the rest of the books). That being said we got small explanations for things throughout so it wasn't as if I was completely lost.

I admit that I did not enjoy the writing style, I'm not sure why, it just didn't appeal to me, but that's nothing against D

This is the first book that I have read from Dahlia Donovan and I was not disappointed at all.
This was a wonderful story of love, danger and shifter in the mix.
Alicia is best friend with Ivy. She is task to help her with the wedding plans to her 2 alphas of the Blackbird pack. Josh has known for over a year that Alicia is his mate and is waiting for her to say yes.
When Alicia witness the death of her friend at Ivy wedding, it is a start to journey. Josh must protect Alicia and they journey to so

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

In the beginning of this book Alicia seemed to come off as a stuck up character, but then as you got to know her she wasn't. She was only trying to protect herself from the world. Alicia will have to decide if Josh is who she wants for life or if she wants something else.

Dahlia knows how to keep a reader engaged in a book. I enjoyed the banter that went on between Josh and the other pack members or the conversations between Josh and Alici

Awesome Read.
Alicia' was a lovely read. Initially I had to remind myself of the language barrier, regarding the terms used in London, Ireland and their varying cities. And I now understand as a reader and writer second, that the telling of the story has to happen in order for the proper telling to take place. I liked the explanation of things, the ways that Donovan progressed the story and the style of writing. Once I'd lear
This suspenseful read kept my interest throughout. Alicia’s background and the culture were totally foreign to me. That added to the allure of the story and stretched my imagination. I liked the chemistry between Josh and Alicia. Stalked by multiple enemies, Alicia and her friends were almost constantly in danger. The locations shifted frequently as Josh fought to keep Alicia safe from those who sought to harm her. I loved the dialogues and the fresh narrative that kept me glued to the action. E ...more

I am so happy Alicia got her story. You can't help but live Josh. Sorry to see a friend die. Enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. Wonderful cast of characters. I can never get enough of them.

Dahlia Donovan wrote her first romance series after a crazy dream about shifters and damsels in distress. She prefers irreverent humour and unconventional characters. An autistic and occasional hermit, her life wouldn’t be complete without her husband and her massive collection of books and video games.
