The author incorporates so many important lessons in this middle grades chapter book. I was blown away by the depth of lessons this book could be used to teach to young readers, without being preachy or over-the-top.

Priss is a unique and interesting character who does end up in some sticky situations, like being locked in the pharmacy bathroom with an overflowing toilet, but she shows great strength of character, perseverance, integrity and ingenuity throughout. Most of all - and this is why I a

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This review was first seen on Heart of a Philanthropist blog.

This was such a fun read! I am certain the readers (especially girls) from ages 8 to 12 will love Judy Phillips Miss Priss! It is a book many young girls will be able to relate with and find entertaining.
Priscilla is a girl who is at an age she wants to develop her own interests and not just follow in the path her parents has chosen. This book is about a young girl who is wanting to become "her own person" and experience more opportunities. It is also a book about conflicting views with one's pa

This book was such a good book! My daughter and even I were a bit leery at first, unsure if we were going to like it. But we quickly fell in love with Miss Priss and her family. We were on her side from chapter one, and on her journey from the first page. We couldn't help but route for her. I love how this book isn't just about basketball (however, I think some of the things I read did increase my basketball skills) it is about friendship, family and never giving up. My daughter and I can not wa ...more
