The Knights of Ezazeruth were the most elite warriors the world had known: toughened by war and trained in a harsh regime, they were a force to reckon with.
But when the arrogant King Afthadus became afraid they would not survive, he cursed them with immortality: and so they went into exile...

It is only natural for a writer to improve his work with the passage of time. A future work may lack some (or all) of the elements that hooked you up in the first place, but you can't deny that the author has matured and stepped up his game. What is not natural is to experience such an improvement in the length of a single book. Search of the Lost began as a three star, old-school and classic fantasy story, and finished as a perfect five, tragic and darkly-hued tale with well-laid plans gone cha ...more

This a really solid fantasy debut, that kept me well entertained all the way through!

The book has a steep development of writing style - so while the start is a bit shaky, it gets better and better the farther in you get. Started of as a two star for me - ended up as a good 4 stars for me, so I went with the 3* for the whole thing. I hope the next one progresses on from the end of book one!

I clicked with the main character right away. Havovatch is a really good guy, who gets thrown into an adven

This is a very impressive debut! I love fantasy and could tell within the first couple of pages that I was going to enjoy being in this world! Described very evocatively, I could picture the landscape, the narrow streets, the buildings and all the characters I would want to meet in a place like this.
Our hero, Havovatch is a very real and likeable fellow; with a huge and weighty burden thrust upon his young shoulders, he struggles on through peril after peril to save his world, in the face of fie

Thanks for a good read . I must thank Julia for the recommendation and as per all her others we have another inspiring read and solid debut ! I have only give 4 starts only because I think from what Is written in some scenes Tom has excelled and showed he can craft and blend extremely so well in fact you can picture and smell the world and characters but for me is the second book shows more as you can have already built most characters and your main story and now have bit more freedom to fill in ...more

They say "don't judge a book by it cover" but when I saw these books I was instantly drawn in. The covers are really awesome and fit the books perfectly! I finished these books within a week and am waiting excitedly for the next one. The story line captivated me straight away and I love how everything has a purpose and everything is tied together. I feel the characters are well rounded and have back stories that have not been full explained yet which leaves me really excited to find out about th ...more

You may have seen in the media lately talk of a dyslexic writer hitting the headlines with a publishing deal. Well, this is it, and not only is the author a flag flyer for Dyslexia, he is also a very good writer! IF you like GoT, you will love this!

'"No!" Havovatch shouted. But he could do nothing with two more fighting before him.

Out of nowhere, Feera jumped down from above with his two swords in a cross, cutting the creature's head clean off.'

Like that taster? The book has some pretty awesome

I really liked this debut novel! It started out exciting and stayed entertaining all throughout the book. My favorite character was Buskull, a big big man with a heart of gold. There are still a lot of questions around his character and background that I am very curious to see answered.
The writing in the book got better and better. According to reviews it gets even better in the second book. In this book, for me, it was not (yet) consistent so 3 solid stars from me, which means I liked and enjoy
