Ok, so i'm biased. My dad wrote this one. It's a great read! I've read it a couple of times, but not for several years and I decided that I need to read it again. It's all about finding success through life's transitions, defining personal belief systems, finding and gaining balance, goal setting and understanding yourself and others. Check it out!
I originally started this reading as a result of a challenge from my son, whose course of life was emotionally changed after taking the corresponding class in college. I did not read it as I should (I didn't DO the concepts, I only pondered them) or I may have given it 5 stars. This initial read was more about familiarizing myself with something loved by a son than by changing my own life. This book is transformative. I took a college course that required me to read this book and do the activities and I can honestly say I wished I had fewer classes so that I could've spent more time on the steps contained in the book. It is quite simply a formula for a better, happier life.
One of the most influential books I've ever read. I've always known more or less what I wanted, this book just helped me identify exactly what they were and how to go about doing it. I'd recommend it to anyone.
As a therapist, I will say that this is the most thorough, appropriate, and versatile self-help book I have ever read. Anyone who is struggling with anything can recover if they accurately follow the directions and do the assignments in this book. It is amazing!
An AMAZING book that CAN if you let it, help YOU change your life.
