I originally started this reading as a result of a challenge from my son, whose course of life was emotionally changed after taking the corresponding class in college. I did not read it as I should (I didn't DO the concepts, I only pondered them) or I may have given it 5 stars. This initial read was more about familiarizing myself with something loved by a son than by changing my own life. However, I am at one of my own life crossroads and can definitely see the merit in applying these principles that, though not unique, are definitely solid, true and motivating. I will have to gear up, but I plan on a re-read soon and this time it will be personal.
Henry David Thoreau observed, "I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, To put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die, discover that I had not lived.” I can imagine that a immersed application of this book would generate similar results.
