I'm so glad I got the chance to read this amazing story. It has all the things I love in a good paranormal book. There is action, mystery, romance, plot twists and of course a HEA. I has double POVs, too. I admit to not reading the previous books but after reading this one, I'm definitely going to read the others in this series. The plot for book one sound really good.

What happens is exactly as described in blurb. I loved the second c

Ms Sjoberg is back with another one of her reaper stories set in her Grave series and right off the bat looking at the different style of cover it's easy to see her muse is leading her in a new direction. I've enjoyed the previous stories about reapers finding love and in many instances mortality as well but this book is a game changer. The world building is most definitely expanding with not just witches but now shifters and demons introduced as well and with Fate pulling their strings it's goi ...more

I really enjoyed this book! It had the perfect balance of comedy, seriousness, and romance (with a couple steamy scenes thrown in). I loved the characters and how the author was able to balance the toughness and softness of the main female character. Overall a great read!

Cappuccino Review of Grave Attraction

One of the most popular espresso drinks, a cappuccino is equal parts espresso, steamed milk and foamed milk. I've broken down the book into those key ingredients.

Espresso: The characters are the heart of this story. Adam Javorski was a Chicago police officer in his former life and now works for FATE as a reaper. Just as he did in life, he plays by the books until he helps a victim escape a serial killer. Marlena Walther is a shifter who was kidnapped on her

4 reincarnation love stars. I didn't expect the novel to go the way that it did so that right there was impressive. Lori Sjoberg spins a delicately detailed, fantasy dusted world in the modern age. Adam is a reaper and Marlena is a shifter. The two have been destined to be in love even if Adam breaks the rules and saves her from death.

Marlena is an old soul, extremely so considering she's over 100 years of age. She's seen lots of change, adapting to the changing world landscape and has been dea

Review courtesy of All Things Urban Fantasy:

GRAVE ATTRACTION pulls you in with excellent characters, new and exciting mythology and a great dramatic finale. It managed to blend perfectly all the aspects I've come to expect from a book partway through a paranormal romance series, without being overly repetitive or confusing.

Adam and Marlena are both deep characters, with dark back stories, but they are not depressing and morose. Adam is a relatively new reaper, who collects the souls of people wh

First let me say, I didn't realize this was the fourth book in a series. I have not read the other books in this series, but it didn't seem to matter. It could easily be a stand alone. I didn't feel that I was missing anything by not reading the other books first. That being said, I did enjoy this book and it has my interest peeked to look into the rest of this series.

Adam, a reaper, has just harvested a soul to help him crossover. As he is leaving the grisly crime scene, he is surprised to fin

Alright, I'm going to be completely straightforward and tell you that it's been close to a lifetime while I've been trying to write this review. Why? Not because I didn't like the book because I loved it. Not because I couldn't find anything to say about it because damn, my mind's been filled with things I wanted to say even while still reading the book. The only other option left was that I'm stuck with my words. Still with me on the blog? Thank you, lovelies. So I've decided to pull on my big ...more
Normally I am a big fan of books about reapers, but though Grave Attraction was entertaining, it was kind of not all that remarkable.

Adam, the hero, was a decent guy and I liked him, but that’s all. I didn’t really had the need to know more about him and I was kind of annoyed by this whole reincarnation thing. He was kind of boring.

In comparison to Adam Marlena was … well, I found her annoying and I don’t really know why. She appeares to be a strong woman, but she had some moments where all I wa

Lori Sjoberg surpassed herself big time! I have been a rabid fan of the author ever since the first book came out, my expectations are always very high, and yet she always manages to wow me! GRAVE ATTRACTION is the most exciting and action-packed to date. Ms. Sjoberg has built a terrific paranormal world from the first book, and she has added new and electrifying elements. Adam and Marlena share wonderful chemistry, they are both enticing and complex characters; they make a great couple. And one ...more

Holy hubba hubba! I heart this book...I heart it big time! What an awesome read and a fantastic series. I’m definitely going to have to go back and grab the others to read now. This book totally felt like it was a stand-alone and my not having read the others within the series had no affect whatsoever.

I say Ms. Sjoberg has some serious magical abilities, and it comes through with the words she weaves and the wonderful, action-packed, paranor

**You can see this full review and more at Book Briefs:**Grave Attraction is the fourth book in the Grave series by Lori Sjoberg. The Grave series is an adult paranormal romance series, and this is the first book that I have had the pleasure of reading. I find the idea of reapers fascinating, and if you have read many of my other paranormal and urban fantasy reviews, you know that I love it when lots of magical creatures come out to play together in one world. And that is e ...more

Marlena is a shifter who is kidnapped by two brothers intent on killing supernatural beings. Adam is a reaper who breaks the rules when he helps Marlena escape. The two are drawn to each other, but their love life is put on hold as the two brothers are still after her. Adam has problems of his own when his boss shows up having lost his powers and he needs Adam's help.

The sudden expansion of the reaper universe to include demons, witches and other funny paranormal entities took me by surprise in this latest book by Lori Sjoberg, but it's has kept the story arc interesting at least. Ms. Sjoberg deals with reincarnation here and I was intrigued to learn about Adam's so-called past, even if the mechanics of the actual (re)birth aren't exactly made that clear. I actually found Marlena a more interesting character to read about than Adam who simply seems to be the ...more

Did not see that one coming! Having been a fan of Lori Sjoberg's reaper novels from the start, I can honestly say I would never have dreamed up the direction Adam's story went. What a fun read. The mystery element to this installment had me frantically wanting to know "who done it" while I still wanted to savor each and every page. Hoping there is more to come with these sexy reapers and their very likable partners.

I really enjoyed this adult paranormal romance about demons, witches, shifters and reapers all secretly live among humans. This book has perfect balance of seriousness, comedy, and sexy romance. I had a great ride reading these characters with some exciting action plus twists & turns.

I really love the grave series, and I've wanted Adam's story since I read the 1st book. I kind of hope that Samuel has a book next, but I' kind of scared to read his story at the same time. It would be pretty good though as he DEFINITELY has a story in him!

...So, what did I like about it?
I haven’t read any of Ms Sjoberg’s books before but found her writing style very easy to read, I appreciated the way the story was told from both Adam and Marlena’s perspectives and I enjoyed the way her tale unfolded. Her world is set here in our time (so it was easy to picture the places where her scenes took place) and is sprinkled with various characters/species with paranormal abilities; rea
Wow...where to even begin with with this book? I guess I'll open with I received this as an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. And for once I actually managed to get around to reading the ARC before it came out! That's pretty much the most excitement I got out of this.
I normally break things into nice neat categories but this book defies those categories so I'm just gonna roll it all into one. Both of these characters were kinda bland, especially considering that they were both

However, when a collection goes wrong and he encounters a woman th

Grave Attraction, by Lori Sjoberg, is a fast-paced urban fantasy featuring a feisty shapeshifter and a very sexy reaper. Their story begins when Adam bends the rules of fate to rescue Marlena from a serial killer’s lair. Though aiding the limits is off limits to reapers, Adam cannot resist the mysterious bond he feels with the beautiful shapechanger.

I was given this ARC in return for an honest review. Grave Attraction is book 4 in the Grave series. This was a yet another great addition to the series. Lori Sjoberg is a great storyteller. I was riveted to the pages till the end of the story.

These two were quite the couple one scene had me seriously entertained:
“Lean back against the wall,” he said, his voice coming out as a growl.
Marlena shook her head. “Not until you take off your clothes.”
His eyes narrowed. “Why?”
“Because I’m naked and you’re not.”
Fair enough. Quickly, he stood and stripped off his clothes in record time. “Happy?”
“Hell, yeah.” Her amber gaze roamed over his body with brazen appreciation.
When she licked her lips, he couldn’t help but imagine the feel of the

This is an excellent Paranormal Romance. I enjoyed the mix of witches, shifters, and reapers. There is still a feeling of mystery since you are left knowing there could be more out there. I found it interesting to have our main character and her daughter to be introduced to us later on in life. At this point Cassie is older than Marlena since Marlena ages much slower. It is not very often the story with shifters takes this angle. This story is well written and it had no trouble keeping my intere ...more
