Favorites: Gabriel Winant on affect theory / left melancholia, Dayna Tortorici on Elena Ferrante. Other standouts: Brandon Harris on Spike Lee, Philip Connors on his uneasy relationship with a former sort-of-benefactor, Christine Smallwood on $100 bottles of Chablis.
