Tucked Away by Jennie Marts is book one in the series, Hearts of Montana. First, let me say that I am a Florida girl. I’m sure my blood is as thin as water. So I have no idea why I seem to be fixated on books about sexy Montana cowboys. Well, maybe that’s the answer. This book pretty much fills every one of my Montana fantasies. Plenty of cowboys, beautiful country side, and lots of cute, adorable farm animals. Well, maybe one not so cute and adorable.

What a breath of fresh air! This is the book I've been waiting for to get me out of my slump. Not to mention the way the book started was true genius.

The writing was beautiful and enticing. The imagery was breathtaking and inspiring. I found myself wanting to visit Montana and see the big blue sky, go to a small town with hot cowboys and wear hot pink cowgirl boots. There was character development, there was set up for a great story, there was emotions and characters I enjoyed, bu

At first I was like okay this story was going to be boring but then it picked up. I liked zack and Charlie together. I love how she took his daughter under her wing and became fast friends. I did think their was too much stuff going on sometimes back to back or at the same time. I think the author could have dragged it out more and separated the events a little better by increasing the page amount to make this a better story and not rushed. blog~

Three weeks ago, Charlie Ryan received a phone call from a lawyer, informing her that a grandmother she never knew existed left her a farmhouse in her will. A fortunate thing for our heroine since she need a change of scenery after a breakup with her cheating ex-boyfriend. So goodbye New York and welcome Montana and it all begin with a standoff with a bull and a handsome cowboy. But Charlie doesn't want a fling with the man who run the place and that she'll have to work with. He's a serial flirt ...more

What a fun romance from beginning to end.

Charlie Ryan didn't have the storybook ending that she always wanted. Her boyfriend in NYC cheated on her and she wanted to escape the city and start over. As luck would have it, she was left a Montana Farm known as Tucked Away. Her grandmother she had never met wanted to get the true experience of what life could be like there for Charlie. So what better place to hide then Montana?

She had a fun run in with a bull ( you will enjoy that scene ), met a hand

Jennie Marts has shot up to my “To Be Read” list because after reading her latest book Tucked Away. Her development of the characters allow the reader to feel as if they have taken up residency in a homey feeling town in Montana, Charlie Ryan has left the hustle and bustle of New York after a bad breakup to accept the inheritance from her grandma Gigi, a thriving farm called Tucked Away. Charlie had never met her grandma, but once she is settled at the farm she realizes that this beautiful setti ...more

I thought this one was awesome!! Really enjoyed all the different relationships being built in this one. After Charlie Ryan finds herself without a boyfriend and broke she decides to uproot her NY life and go to the farm she inherited from the grandmother she never knew. This small town and all it's residents are endearing and welcoming and slowly Charlie finds herself really liking it at Tucked Away, and it has nothing to do with the hot sexy vet, Zach Cooper. Nope. Nothing at all.

Cute and fast read. Two people find love after being spurned by it in the past. Add in a teen girl and a pup named Joy, they find that giving their hearts again is worth it. Could see the ex-wife making an appearance and boy did she. Not in a good way at all. Glad that Charlie was finally able to find her backbone.there was some suspense involved, mom's past, who her father was and dirty railroad worker. Couldn't help but love Sophie. Such a sweetheart. Will look forward to other reads by this a ...more

Tucked Away was a quick, sweet read.

I liked the characters and storyline. It took a while for me to get into it as it was a little slow in the beginning but overall it was a good read.

A city girl inherits a ranch in Montana from a grandmother she never knew she had. Time to take off the high heels and find some cowboy boots! Full review to follow on on May 12th.

Charlie Ryan is a city girl through and through. Raised in New York City, she’s used to life moving fast and easy access to the finer things. But when she catches her fiance with his secretary, starting over sounds like a great plan. And the timing couldn’t be better, since she’s just inherited a ranch in Montana from a grandmother she never knew.

But... There’s not really anything about the story I didn’t like, but there were some periods of time that were glossed over, and in skipping past so m

3.5 stars. This cute cowboy romance treads over familiar ground – city girl inherits ranch, falls in love with the country and a cowboy, but the cowboy thinks she’s going to leave at any moment. There’s also the tried and true tale of family secrets, absent parents and old-flames returning at the least convenient moment. Add in a railroad man wanting to buy the property for a vast sum and everything falls into place. Yes, it’s a little predictable, but it’s a fun, easy read with plenty to enjoy. ...more
Overall, I was entertained by the story. It started a little slow, but picked up due to a whole lot going on back to back. The phrase "everything but the kitchen sink" fits perfectly and since there was no dishwasher, the sink could also be listed.

*NYC slicker moves to a farm in a small town in Montana
*She caught her fiancee playing tiddly winks with his secretary on their couch
*Stipulation in the will she has to stay on the farm for 3 months
*She breaks her heel and has all the wrong clothes bef

I received this book from Netgalley, which I'm pretty sure is one of the best websites on the face of the Earth.

I debated on how to rate this book for some time, because there were a lot of parts that I loved and a lot of parts that I didn't.

This was another really light read. It seems that I'm on a roll here with the quick, easy reads!

Charlie is a pretty intriguing character. I really felt for her right from the beginning. She's a total city girl, grew up in New York City, and has now inherit

When your entire life has gone up in flames, there isn't much you can do to make it any worse. Charlie Ryan decides to start over and find out who she really is when she moves to Montana to take over the ranch her unknown grandmother bequeathed to her.

First of all, I should've known better from the summary to have a box or two of tissues handy when this story began. I had a good kind of cry going off and on throughout this story. The kind of cry that reveals how connected to the characters you'v

She packs up her things and drives off to Montana and the farm. Life gets interesting from when she arrives, runs out of fuel and is trapped in her rental car by a bull!

I've read many of Jennie Marts's book before and this book is a wonderful combination of mystery, romance, and a bit of hot erotica. I couldn't put the book down! I found myself wrapped up in several emotions as I read the story of a hot vet and a stubborn, scorned woman thrust into life on the family farm~ the family she didn't know existed, but nonetheless is a place she can lay down some roots.

Marts leads the reader on a winding path of mystery and intrigue surrounding the death of Charlie's

Tucked Away had a strong start, even if the romance itself took a while to get going. The main characters--Charlie, Sophie, Cash, Buckshot, and Zack--were all very likable. Watching NYC-girl Charlie determined to adjust to all that was new and different on the Montana ranch was a lot of fun to read, and as the romance did develop, it was very sweet.

As the novel continued, though, it started to feel as if a whole lot of drama was just being thrown at the characters--and the reader. Just about eve

This was a very sweet, quick read. Although it did take me a lot longer to read than I like because I was in kind of a slump. This was still a very cute cowboy, city girl romance story.

To me this book started out sounding alot like a Harlequin book. Those aren't bad books just alot of romance. I didn't really care for the love triangle part. When this story took a certain turn. It stopped remind me of the Harlequin story. I love the turn it took. I just wasn't expecting it.

The characters found a way into my heart. The characters were original and the author did a great job revealing pieces of their back story throughout the book. I felt like I knew these fictio

Tucked away is a very satisfying romance novel by an author that is new to me. It is well written and professionally edited.

Charlie, the heroine, has inherited a Montana farm from a grandmother that she didn't know existed. The only condition is that she has to live on the farm for a summer for the property to be deeded to her. She was happy to leave New York after finding her fiancé cheating on her.
