I’m a little surprised this isn’t rated higher than it is. It isn’t great, fantastic, I’ll definitely read it again, but it is entertaining and well written for what it is. YA fluffy-ish paranormal love story. It’s a fast paced, entertaining and easy read. If the third one comes out, I would be tempted to get it.

It does have an ending, but it left room to grow, so it’s not a total cliffhanger.

I love the story of Thane and Maylin. The twist and turns in the plot are fantastic. I can't wait for the next book.

* I received an ebook in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. *

I was hesitant about whether or not I should re-read book 1 in this series before jumping into book 2, but there was no need to worry, as the author did an amazing job with the brief recap to catch the reader up and then the story line just zooming along. While this is book 2, I do feel like the reader could start here and be ok, they will miss an amazing first book, but they would be ok. With that being said, the author jumps

Whilst most seventeen year old girls are worrying about being liked, what they're going to wear, make up, boys and school work, Maylin is fighting for her own survival and for the survival of those in her group...and to stay seventeen. With a plague having swept the world and few human survivors left, other species such as vampires are thriving.

'Shaman's Curse' picks up where 'Vampire's Bane' finishes. There is much that is unknown for Maylin and her group as they reach Exordium and the set up t

The first book in this series did me in. Following a young girl whose parents sacrificed her to an unknown program. Seeing her struggle and come to terms with how the world really is after years of being held underground, and to have her put into situations where harming someone she cared for was the only option.

I could not wait for the continuation of Maylin's story. The author did not disappoint either. This next chapter in the series is engaging, action filled and will definitely have you pi

A lot of questions from the first book have been answered in this book. The choices that have to be made aren't easy, especially when you throw the heart into the mix.

Maylin is a strong character, a leader in the complete sense of the word. Always putting others before herself. Doing what's best for those she is in charge of protecting. You really feel the weight of her decisions as much as she does.

Full of surprises and very emotional. This book had a more hopeful feel to it, whereas the first

I loved this book. Maylin is determined to make it to St. Louis and won't let anything or anyone stand in her way. When she escapes the Warwick Vampires she heads to St.Louis. She just wants to find her purpose in life. She's torn between truth and lies. Will she be able to figure things out before it's too late?
