People consider this author the greatest poet and the founder of modern literature. Pushkin pioneered the use of vernacular speech in his poems, creating a style of storytelling—mixing drama, romance, and satire—associated ever with greatly influential later literature.

Pushkin published his first poem at the age of 15 years in 1814, and the literary establishment widely recognized him before the time of his graduation from the imperial lyceum in Tsarskoe Selo. Social reform gradually committed Pushkin, who emerged as a spokesman for literary radicals and in the early 1820s clashed with the government, which sent him into exile in southern Russia. Under the strict surveillance of government censors and unable to travel or publish at will, he wrote his most famous drama but ably published it not until years later. People published his verse serially from 1825 to 1832.

Pushkin and his wife Natalya Goncharova, whom he married in 1831, later became regulars of court society. In 1837, while falling into ever greater debt amidst rumors that his wife started conducting a scandalous affair, Pushkin challenged her alleged lover, Georges d'Anthès, to a duel. Pushkin was mortally wounded and died two days later.

Because of his liberal political views and influence on generations of Russian rebels, Pushkin was portrayed by Bolsheviks as an opponent to bourgeois literature and culture and a predecessor of Soviet literature and poetry. Tsarskoe Selo was renamed after him.

There are occasions when I wish I could read Russian. This time I would have liked to compare Pushkin’s Russian prose with the rich detail of this English translation. The narration flows smoothly and pauses for a meta-comment about how the narrator is not going to be like other narrators.

An undertaker moves to a new community and throws a tantrum about what he perceives as a slight about his profession. Pushkin crafts the story into a statement that says to the undertaker, “Hey, do you want something to cry about? I’ll give you something to cry about.” His sins return to him in the form of past clients. He sees dead people. Hopefully, this humbles him. Unfortunately, the undertaker’s fate will have to be left to the reader’s imagination, because the story ends after about 3000 words.

Μια σύντομη ιστορία τρόμου από τον πατέρα της ρωσικής λογοτεχνίας (τα γενέθλιά του γιορτάζονται παγκόσμια ως ημέρα της ρωσικής γλώσσας - 6 Ιουνίου - δεν είναι η μέρα της κοίμησης όπως στους αγίους, το ρώτησα).
Ο νεκροθάφτης, λοιπόν, του τίτλου μας διόλου δεν είναι η ψυχή της παρέας και σε μια κρίση παροξισμού και μήνιος, αποσύρεται στα ιδιαίτερα σκοτεινά διαμερίσματά του όπου τον περιμένει ...μια περίεργη συνάντηση.

Πρόκειται για ένα μικρό αλλά χαρακτηριστικό δείγμα της ικανότητας του Πούσκιν να συνδυάζει το ευθυμογράφημα με μια λεπτή ειρωνεία. Η ιστορία κινείται ανάμεσα στο γκροτέσκο και στο υπαινικτικό σκοτάδι, παίζοντας με τον τρόμο χωρίς να τον παίρνει απολύτως στα σοβαρά, χαρίζοντάς μας ένα μικρό κείμενο που απευθύνεται σε όποιον αγαπά την κλασσική ρωσική λογοτεχνία με μια δόση μαύρου χιούμορ.

Puschkins „Der Sargmacher“ ist eine interessante Geschichte, die das Potenzial für mehr hatte. Die Atmosphäre ist gut eingefangen und die düstere Stimmung kommt gut zur Geltung, besonders in der Beschreibung des Sargmachers Adrian Prochorowitsch und seiner Umgebung.

Allerdings bleibt die Handlung etwas oberflächlich. Der Konflikt um die Einladung zur Hochzeit und die daraus resultierenden Ereignisse fühlen sich etwas gehetzt an, und die Charaktere – insbesondere die Geister – wirken nicht vollständig ausgearbeitet. Man hätte sich hier mehr Tiefe und psychologische Entwicklung gewünscht, um die Motivationen und Ängste der Figuren besser nachvollziehen zu können.

Das Ende, obwohl überraschend, lässt einen etwas unbefriedigt zurück, da es einige Fragen offenlässt und die Geschichte eher abrupt abschließt. Eine tiefergegehende Auseinandersetzung mit den Themen Tod, Einsamkeit und menschlicher Natur hätte aus dieser Novelle ein Meisterwerk machen können, statt einer guten, aber nicht herausragenden Erzählung.

Дивиться прозе Пушкина нужно по весьма простой особенности — современники её всерьёз не воспринимали, ибо Александр не доводил до их сведения, либо подписывался псевдонимами, как в случае с «Повестями покойного Ивана Петровича Белкина». Сарказм тут ещё и в том, что первым произведением в данном цикле стал «Гробовщик»: о мистическом событии, происходящем с каждым, стоит вусмерть набраться алкогольных напитков.

Me engaño el título. Cuando era chico, en la escuela la profesora nos dió una tarea, esta consistía en hacer una historia; le pregunté después si podía hacer que el protagonista soñara lo que le pasó y me respondió: eso es algo muy predicable y que todos usan, se más creativo.

A pesar de que vivimos tiempos donde se quiere ocultar la cultura rusa, esta siempre fue, es y será uno de los faros intelectuales de Europa. Y Pushkin es uno de los referentes más claros e indiscutibles. Como buen escritor romántico, además de narraciones históricas, patrióticas, líricas...las tiene obviamente góticas y de terror, faltaría más. Y muy buenas por cierto.

"El fabricante de ataúdes" es un relato corto pero muy potente, con descripciones muy gráficas de lo que es la muerte, y donde no falta el sentido del humor, como cuando Puskin que a pesar de que Shakespeare haya intentado representar a los enterradores como simpáticos, la verdad es que son todo lo contrario, tristes y cerrados.

El final que no desvelaré, deja la puerta abierta a ese mundo onírico y surrealista que va progresivamente tomando cuerpo y presencia en el Romanticismo, y que acabará siendo esencial en el Psicoanálisis y las Vanguardias del siglo XX.

Lean literatura rusa, siempre es buena, muy buena o excelente. Es un seguro de vida. Y a los rusófobos, pues que les den, que sigan con sus judíos de Disney.

Пушкин был большой приколист. Это такое совершенно особенное чувство - замечать, что с тобой играют, водят за нос, понимать, что вот она отсылка, и при этом не понимать, на что отсылка, только догадываться о правилах игры - будто что-то чешется, а почесать не можешь. Я только начинаю читать вокруг Пушкина, смотреть на контекст, до которого руки раньше не доходили. Вот романтика Марлинского, например, почитала, и сейчас ещё совершенно чудесную "Лафертовскую маковницу" Погорельского, которая косвенно цитируется в "Гробовщике". А сколько же там ещё копать- не перекопать
Чем больше я перечитываю "Повести Белкина", тем более живыми они мне кажутся.

Se trata de un relato corto clásico que ha podido inspirar a otras obras posteriores.
Es de lectura sencilla y rápida, aunque esta percepción puede estar influida por la extensión del libro.
Respecto a construcción de personajes (que no desarrollo, que es nulo) y evolución de la historia, es un relato pobre con muchas papeletas de no provocar nada en ti.
A su favor, muestra de forma muy rápida algunos matices de la sociedad de la época, que pueden llamar la atención de una persona lectora contemporánea, pero no es ese el objetivo del libro.
En resumen, es un libro muy corto que, en mi experiencia, no aporta mucho.

Este autor me enamoró con Ruslán y Liudmila, y al igual que estoy haciendo con Shakespeare, quise seguir explorando su obra. Y entonces Kindle me dió un montón de clasicazos para investigar, y ahí encontré a este genial fabricante.

Lo he calificado como microrrelato porque en poco más de 20 páginas, la historia no da para mucho. Se lee en un santiamén (10-20 minutos) y la verdad es que es muy sorprendente esa dirección que lleva el autor hacia lo terrorífico con los muertos vivientes y la reacción del prota, todo esto pensando que fue escrito hace casi dos siglos!!

قصة صانع التوبيت هي قصة قصيرة متكونه من 8 صفحات وتتحدث بمثل عنوانها عن صانع توابيت لكن عن جانب مغاير عنه وعن احتقار م�� حوله له وغضبة حول هذا الامر
هنا اسمها الحانوتي لكن اسمها بنسختي صانع التوابيت وفي النهاية المعنى واحد
رغم كونها اصغر قصص مجموعة ابنة الآمر الا انه الاجمل بينهم لحد الان واقيمها

Simple, aburrido, con descripciones que no transportan a ningún lado... La historia no es original para el lector contemporáneo acostumbrado a aguas más fuertes. Deberíamos ubicarlo en contexto de publicación en el siglo XIX y allí, seguramente, sería original y produciría algo de escozor.

Por momentos genera la impresión de haber inspirado a la familia del sepulturero de la cuarta temporada de Fargo. Estoy casi seguro de ello.

Sempre observei a citação de Pushkin nos grandes clássicos da literatura Russa, mas ainda não tinha tido a chance de conhecê-lo, e em apenas 13 páginas ele fez jus a fama de maior influenciador da literatura russa. Foi impactante, um nocaute com extrema sutileza na hipocrisia do ser humano. Genial!
