Alison Uttley (17 December 1884 – 7 May 1976), née Alice Jane Taylor, was a prolific British writer of over 100 books. She is now best known for her children's series about Little Grey Rabbit, and Sam Pig.
This is the first time reading this book, I didn’t like the style of the illustration much, but this was taken from the CITV programme so is not the original. The story was good, but there’s no humour in this really and that’s what I like. It was a good story though overall.
I love Alison Uttley’s delightful children’s books. Unlike Jemima Puddle-duck the Speckledy Hen is not so naive as to be fooled by a fox, but she does need all her friends resourcefulness to save her from one.
