"Some people are meant to be in each other’s lives."
"Even if they start out at each other’s throats,"

I love enemies to lovers, rock star romance, and a feisty heroine. I love tension and banter. I love highly charged sexual moments. And I love a guy who is learning how to be a dad.
This book had everything, plus that special stuff Melissa seasons each of her books with. I don’t know what it is, but it’s highly addictive.

"She was dangerous. Like the perfect chorus that lures you in with unexpected notes, and soon you find yourself hoping it never ends."
I need to start with Jilly because strong heroines mean everything to me. She’s so confident, so sure of who she is and what she wants, with a spitfire personality, and a heart that is meant to love. Except—she never thought she could. And she’s not ready to give that heart away.

"This was what she always craved. A man who wasn’t afraid to take what he wanted but would still give her what she needed."
Johnny was *chef’s kiss*. He’s the successful guy who has his life all planned and then gets thrown a curveball in the shape of a daughter he didn’t know he had. He gets thrown a feisty designer as well, and he needs to juggle them both.
And he does it perfectly.

"Mr. Bad," she said coyly. "Didn’t you already run once today?"
"Yes." And now I need to go for another run.
She stepped closer, her chest almost grazing his skin. "Working off a little tension?"

Johnny has been blowing Jilly, and her designs, off. He’s done it a couple of times already, and she’s had enough, so she marches into his penthouse, guns blazing. But his life has just been flipped on its head, and he doesn’t know what he’s doing.
She has a big heart, so she steps in to help.

"When you’re lying in your bed thinking about me and you reach between your legs to relieve the pressure, I want you to see my face looking back at you, my mouth making you come."
She takes him and Zoey to her brother’s small town and his inn. It’s supposed to have magical powers, and damn, I believe it (can someone send me directions, please?) because the next thing you know, she’s gone from infuriating to everything he needs, and he’s gone from selfish rock star to everything she wants.

"This isn’t me just wanting to get off, Jilly. There’s something about you that makes me lose my mind."
I loved the tension between them, and the banter. Jilly doesn’t fall to her knees right off the bat (even if she gladly does it later!), and I loved that she gave him hell. And she may not be like the women he’d usually go for, but she infiltrates his mind and his thoughts, and he craves her more and more.
It’s all in the small details… who would have thought balls of hay and sweeping could be romantic?

"What if I want you naked and on your knees?"
Tightening his grip on her hair, he tugged her up to her feet. "You and I both know there’s no if."

This thing between them is supposed to have a deadline. As soon as the media storm caused by Johnny’s daughter’s appearance blows over, they’re supposed to return to their former lives. Except… it’s not as easy as they thought it would be.
In the meantime, Zoey is amazing. A kid used to having nothing suddenly finds herself surrounded by love. A lot of it brought tears to my eyes—there’s nothing quite like feeling wanted, and safe, regardless of how old you are.

"Like two destitute lovers who would give their left arms for another hour together."
They have to go back to their lives and their careers, but nothing’s the same. It’s like there’s a piece missing, and no one else can ever patch it up. It may make no sense, and they may not seem right for each other, but they’re more than that—they’re perfect.

It wouldn’t be a Melissa Foster book without wonderful secondary characters and without me wanting to live in the book. Yeah, I say that a lot, but it’s honestly true.

"It’s 12:01. Wish you were here,"
The love in this book is palpable, and it warms your heart. It’s not just a man and a woman learning the ropes of something new to both of them—it’s also a guy learning how to be a dad, a single woman learning how to open up, love, and be loved, and a kid being embraced and supported for who she is and in everything she does.

"You can be anything you want, as long as you’re mine."
This book was hot, sexy, and very emotional. It was sweet, permeated by the usual feeling of found family I love so much in Melissa’s books. Nothing could have prepared them for each other, and now there’s no way they can ever be apart.

I don't think Melissa Foster is capable of giving us a bad read, each book gets better and better. Johnny butthead really isn't what Jillian thinks at all and when she finds out why he's been canceling all of their appointments she can't help but feel for him...and you will too.

This book is about finding out about a child you didn't know you had, finding love in the most unexpected places, and discovering the life you never knew you wanted.

I highly recommend this book to those that enjoy STEAMY Contemporary Romances, Rockstar Romances, Forced Proximity Romances, or Surprise Your A Dad Romances.

Happy Reading!!!

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Melissa Foster is a pro when it comes to penning steamy and heartfelt romance. Rocked by Love was another testament to her writing skills. In Rocked by Love, Foster delivered a heartwarming and scorching hot single dad, rockstar, close proximity romance. Pick up a copy and prepared to be wowed.

Rocked by Love tells Jillian Braden and Johnny Bad’s story.  Jillian, a sought-after fashion designer, was contracted to design outfits for Johnny’s band when they went on tour. However, with every scheduled meeting, Johnny cancels. Tired of his cancellations and not giving to consideration to her time, she confronts him to give a piece of her mind. However, on the day she confronts him, she stumbled into a situation that would bring unexpected but welcome change to her life.

Johnny didn’t believe his day could get any worse after discovering he had a teenaged daughter named Zoey, and that his manager, whom he trusted, had been stealing from him. Well, that was, until a beautiful and sexy fashion designer showed up at his penthouse to curse him out. To make matters worse, the paparazzi are dogging his doorsteps. He needs to get out of town to protect his daughter’s privacy, but he had no idea where to go. Then Jillian offers the perfect solution.

Rocked by Love is a beautiful story from start to finish. It provides readers with a story where romance blossoms and a father bonds with his daughter. The story captured my heart from the first chapter, and I couldn’t get enough of it. Honestly, I couldn’t wait to see how it would unfold.

I enjoyed spending time with the characters and watching their relationships develop. Without a doubt, Jillian and Johnny belonged together. I especially loved the development of Johnny’s relationship with Zoey. Both relationships had a rocky start, which grew into a special bond as the story develops. Honestly, I didn’t know the direction Foster would take with the story, but I trusted her to deliver a story that would resonate with me and she delivered as expected.

Johnny and Jillian’s romance was steamy, with lots of heart. They encountered bumps along the way, but the strength of their love aided in a successful navigation. My heart ached for Zoey with all she went through before coming to live with Johnny. She was closed off, which was expected given all she had experienced. However, as the story progressed, we see her coming out of her shell and overcoming her painful past.

The family bonds, as usual, were delightful and heartwarming. Rocked by Love is the type of story that will keep you glued to the pages, and leave you with a warm and fuzzy feelingThis review was originally posted on Totally Addicted to Reading

“𝘿𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙄’𝙢 𝙖 𝙨𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙈𝙧. 𝘽𝙖𝙙.”
“𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩, 𝙖𝙨 𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙨 𝙮𝙤𝙪’𝙧𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙚.”

This book deserves all the stars and I cannot wait to read the stories of Johnny siblings!

I read and finished this book a week ago and I am still living within its pages feeling the emotions it put me through. I am so glad that I read the story of Jillian and Johnny and the too adorable for her own good teenage Baddie. They've owned my heart from page one.

“Jillian Braden worked her own brand of magic.”
I've loved Jilly since the first time I've met her in the other books she features in and I thought I had a pretty good idea about who she is but boy what we saw of her in the other books doesn't even cover the surface of how big her character is. The happy go lucky woman is so much more than what meets the eye. She is so amazingly strong and hides her pain behind a tough exterior. What her brothers went through (read Beau and Zev's books to find out) transformed her into someone who always tries to ignore every bad feeling and burry it deep behind a smile. Meeting Johnny and his teenage daughter pushed her to unravel her true self, embrace the bad, cope with it and overcome it. To see Jillian bloom, talk about her emotions more and opens up to Jhonny was overwhelming in the best ways. Melissa Foster writes amazing complicated characters that the read will fall in love with.

“But his desire for her and his worries for his daughter weren’t at war. They ran side by side.”
Johnny.. oh man did this Rock star live up to his name!! He also hides behind his Rocker boy image to avoid the public digging deep into his life, hiding how sweet and romantic he can. The way he is with his daughter and how he tried to do anything and everything for her made me fall crazily in love with him (Tank Wicked has some serious competition here).

“She might not be the kind of woman who baked cookies or doted on people, but Jillian Braden’s affection was as fierce and as strong as a lioness’s, coming out in tough love, gentle nudges, and sexy sass.
If only she could see it.”

Johnny and Jillian together is something else, these two are perfect for each other. They started from deep dislike which created some really great laugh-out-loud *sexy* banter, to flirting with each other which was HOT and that lead to a really interesting list of places and things that are also HOT. There's just something really sweet about stories where the hero falls first and how Johnny didn't let go of Jillian and didn't give on the future he knows they will have was heart-warming. Jillian thought they were star crossed lovers but Johnny knew that they were each others' HEA.

And of course with every Melissa Foster book, I always look forward to the families' scenes where we meet old and new characters. Loved seeing The Bradens again and meeting the Bads. The deep bonds between each family and their members and how they embraced Johnny's daughter, it was really incredibly sweet and touching.

This page turned was hard to put down until the end and I am still not over it. It has made me laugh, cry, swoon and fan myself and it was all just perfect.

Also this book contains MANY NSFW scenes🔥 might be one Melissa's top hottest book 🥵

“Don’t act like I’m a sure thing, Mr. Bad.”
“You can be anything you want, as long as you’re mine.”

This is a crossover between two of Melissa other series and I couldn’t put it down. I’m obsessed with the world Melissa has created in her books and how they all connect.

Johnny bad is a rockstar who has no plans of ever settling down but that all changes when he finds out that not only does he have a teenage daughter but his manager has been lying and stealing from him. Jillian is a fashion designer that is tired of the Johnny Bad and his team canceling on her, so she decides to confront him only to find him in middle of a crisis. Johnny and his daughter Zoey, need a place to lay low during the media storm, so Jillian suggest that he stay at her brother’s Inn but what she didn’t expect was Zoey wanting her to go with them. Now they find themselves staying in a cottage that looks like it was straight out of a fairytale. With the help of Jillian, Johnny is able to build a relationship with Zoey which was hard especially after everything the girl has been through recently. But the more time they spend together they more they open up and begin to care about each other. Jillian went from dislike the rockstar that waste her time to falling in love with the real him that no one else really get to see. But what happens when the two weeks are up, will they make it work or the real world get in their way?
Their chemistry and attraction from the beginning to end was off the charts and the longer the stayed in the cottage the more intense it got. Jillian and Johnny definitely did not disappoint in the spice department, the moment they got their hands on each other they couldn’t stop. Jillian thought they were star crossed, that they were right together just the wrong time but Johnny never gave up on them and knew they would alway been each other’s HEA. I love how Jillian kept saying she wasn’t the mothering type but she found herself mothering Zoey and Johnny didn’t see himself as a dad until he meet Zoey and now he can’t see himself as anything but her dad. I also love their relationship with their family and how both family embrace Zoey. I can’t wait for Kane & Sable’s Book.

I would recommend if you like:
🎸Rockstar Romance
🎸Surprise Teenage daughter
🎸Dislike to Love
🎸Forced Proximity
🎸Spicy Scenes🔥

A special thanks to Melissa Foster and her team for giving me an ARC!!!

Rocked by Love is book #10 of The Bradens & Montgomerys, Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls series of contemporary romances.

Top fashion designer, Jillian Braden wants to blast rock star Johnny Bad when he cancels his third appointment with her just twenty before they were due to meet. In fact she does just that, walking in on him as his world threatens to fall apart.

Johnny has just been told he has a fourteen year old daughter which he is now responsible for and he's also found out that his manager has been embezzling funds. He needs to escape the paparazzi pronto and Jillian takes control. She organises a trip to Colorado to her brother's inn, but Johnny won't go without her joining them.

I have been waiting a long time for Jillian's story and I loved that part of the setting was at the magical inn that Char and Beau share. The responsibility of a fourteen year old, was different too and I enjoyed the story very much.

Jillian Braden is a sought-after fashion designer who has had enough of Johnny Bad and his cancellations for the last two years. As she prepares to confront the man, she stumbles into a scene she did not expect.

Johnny is not having a great day, a discovery or two, a betrayal, and now a designer is telling him off! The paps have figured out where he is, and he needs to get out of town and lay low. Now Johnny and Jillian need to work together, and she has a solution.

A Melissa Foster story is always a treat, and Jillian Braden is one of her better female characters, sassy and smart. Johnny is a rocker who has had some tough years. Will Jillian be his muse? Add an angry teenager and a story I know I will read again.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.

It’s hard for me to believe this is the tenth book in Foster’s The Bradens & Montgomerys, Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls. This story’s female protagonist and well known fashion designer Jillian Braden has made cameo appearances in many of them. And nearly each time she has she’s expressed her ire with rocker Johnny Bad whom she’s supposed to be designing a clothing line for his upcoming now three times postponed world tour. So you just knew that eventually there was an enemies to lovers trope sometime in their future. Well, the third time Johnny cancels his concert tour with almost no notice was not the charm for Jillian. It was her breaking point. So Jillian a petite, fiery red head has had enough. She decides she’s going to pay the arrogant, self-absorbed rocker a visit to give him a piece of her mind in person.
If you’re familiar with Melissa Foster’s Love in Bloom Universe you know that its heavily populated by members of the Braden clan stretching across several series. But the Bad clan like the Whiskeys and their cousins the Wickeds also has a strong presence. As often as Jillian has made appearances in other books her book shows there was still plenty we had to learn about the petite fashionista with the big personality. If I had to use one word to describe Jillian it would be passionate. She’s passionate about her family and her friends. She’s passionate about her career. And when she and Johnny get together we find out she’s as passionate, lusty and uninhibited as any Foster heroine has ever been. For a thirty-year-old woman who tells us she’s never had a lover who really rang her bell and has been on a long dry spell, when she discovers Johnny Bad is her perfect lover she’s not afraid to say what she wants and needs to be satisfied and is willing to repay him in kind.
Johnny Bad has been famous since he was discovered at fifteen. Now thirty-four he’s had to go through his share of growing pains made more difficult than for most because his fame meant the people around him were always willing to do whatever he wanted to curry his favor. Women of all ages threw themselves at him practically from the time he finished puberty. Johnny went through a lot of nameless, faceless women and alcohol fueled nights before he realized all of his overindulgence really didn’t make him happy. One of those nameless, faceless women gave birth to a baby girl fourteen years ago that Johnny (thanks to his longtime manager) knew nothing about. On the same day Johnny discovers his long time manager has been stealing millions from him, he discovers he’s got a fourteen year old daughter name Zoey whose mother his manager has been paying off to buy her silence. On the same day a very angry Jillian Braden comes storming into his penthouse to unleash her displeasure for again screwing with her busy life by again cancelling the tour she had been hired to design costumes for. To say Johnny Bad is having a bad day would be a gross understatement.
Zoey is an extremely sympathetic character. As if being a fourteen year old girl isn’t tough enough under the best of circumstances. Her mother never wanted her. She left her with her grandmother to raise while she cashed the hefty checks Johnny’s manager was sending her and kept all the money for herself continuing to lead her groupie lifestyle. When Zoey’s grandmother suddenly passes away her mother is forced to take responsibility for her. Which she does for about a month providing the minimal amount of attention possible to Zoey bordering on neglect. But being a mother is not in Zoey’s mom’s DNA, so within a month from her own mother’s death she callously dumps Zoey in the office of Johnny’s manager. This is one of the few problems I had with this story’s plot. I mean Zoey was her mother’s cash cow. No Zoey, no big monthly checks from Johnny. So, it never made sense to me that her mom so willingly gave her to Johnny. Imagine poor Zoey. Her mother never showed any interest in her but at least she had her loving grandmother. When she dies Zoey has nobody that loves her. Johnny in shock to discover he has a teenage daughter thrown into the shitstorm his life is becoming, hardly welcomes her into his life with open arms. Zoey is hurt, angry and doesn’t trust anyone. When Jillian shows up at her father’s penthouse with enough sass to take on the world Zoey immediately latches on to her as a protector as she’s the only woman in a house full of intimidating men. Which is how when Johnny wants to whisk he and Zoey away to some secluded location in order to avoid the paparazzi until he can get his feet under him, Jillian reluctantly ends up accompanying Zoey and Johnny to her brother Beau and his wife Char’s inn in the mountains of Colorado. Beau the wealthy construction company owner and Char the famous erotic romance writer have their own book. They and the inn have made appearances in several previous stories.
All three forced into close proximity Jillian discovers Johnny really isn’t the self-absorbed rockstar she thought he was and they actually have a lot of things in common. Johnny is actually a big hearted guy who will do anything for his family. Oh, and one steamy look from Johnny revs her libido like no man before him ever has. Despite her disclaimer that she’s not “mommy material” we all discover Jillian has a very nurturing nature as she helps Johnny and Zoey bond while becoming a mother figure for Zoey and falling in love with both of them in the process. But this is a contemporary romance so despite all the warm feels and multiple orgasmic sex Jillian and Johnny have while together in Colorado, they have a long ways to go before they all become a family. It’s a unique feature of most of Foster’s story arcs that her characters get busy much earlier in her stories than they do in most contemporary romance authors story’s where it doesn’t happen until at least sixty-percent of the way through their story. This story is no different. While Jillian and Johnny are nightly sneaking around the inn’s property finding places to have red hot, dirty sex away from Zoey, Jillian in particular keeps fighting the idea that she and Johnny can be anything more than a brief fling until they return to their real lives. His life is in Manhattan and on the road touring with his band. Hers is back in Mount Pleasant where her life is consumed by her career and family. Previous experience has taught Jillian that no man would be willing to put up with her devotion to her career focus and the odd hours she keeps. While Jillian keeps trying to talk herself out of the idea that this can be anything more than a fling and reminding Johnny that they have an expiration date, Johnny tries to tell himself he’s in no place in his life with a new daughter that needs his attention to begin a real relationship with a woman who doesn’t even live in the same state as they will. The big issue keeping them apart is how busy they both are with their careers and the fact that they live so far away from each other. The more the story goes on the more obvious the solution becomes to readers but it takes most of the rest of the book for our two lovers to figure it out.
IMHO this was another great book by Melissa Foster if for no other reason than the characters were so likeable you had to cheer for them. But the plot while somewhat predictable was also entertaining. Now we have to wait another year for the next book in this series, Kane Bad and Sable Montgomery’s story in a crossover book between the Bads and the Montgomerys.

I love this author, that is all.

😂 ok, you want me to actually write something more than that lol
Do you ever read books and struggle to write reviews? Not because the book is poor, but the exact opposite because the book was so good…I can’t find words to do it justice.

I listened to the audiobook and good lord when Johnny Bad was speaking to me…oops, I mean speaking dirty to Jillian, it was HOT 🥵

Rocked by Love is a single dad, rockstar romance.
Jillian is hired to design Johnny and his band mates tour wardrobe, when Jillian arrives she walks in just when Johnnys life is imploding, he’s just found out his manager has been stealing from him and that he also has a teenage daughter.

He needs to escape the limelight so he can connect and build a relationship with his daughter. He needs help…and the snarky fashion designer who is breathing fire at him seems to have the solution by escaping to a family inn.
The fire continues when Johnny uses Jillian’s current contract to ensure she accompanies them on the trip. Jillian is not motherly at all (that’s what she believes) but her relationship with Johnnys daughter was beautiful to read.
This is an emotional read watching Johnny connect with his daughter who is upset with the situation, and the struggles of being a teenage girl (don’t get me started on her mother! 😤) we do have plenty of LOL moments (the chickens!) and some moment which made my heart just melt 🫠🫠
Rocked by Love is a story of 3 individuals coming together, finding their strengths, weaknesses and opening their hearts to love, it’s a father & daughter learning about being a family, it’s a man & woman finding out that love sometimes isn’t enough (also finding some creative places to explore each other!!….oh and video calling…did I mention HOT 🥵) and realising sometimes family isn’t necessarily blood.

Now, if you’re still reading my rambling review, please go check out the blurb…it’ll give you a better understanding of the storyline then this review 😂😂😂👍🏼

Rocked by Love was the tenth book in Melissa Foster’s Braden’s & Montgomery’s: Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls series. It was also a crossover with her Bad Boys After Dark series and one of her many in her Love in Bloom series.

Jillian Braden was a well known and sought after designer. She was a workaholic and never dreamed of a family and happily ever after. She had fire breathing passion, didn’t cook and was fiercely independent. Johnny Bad was a rock star whose manager had hired Jillian to design the band’s tour wardrobe - then cancelled it three times. Jillian had had enough and brought her fire breathing temper to the source. Sparks flew and the story began.

I really enjoyed the plot. It wasn’t the typical rock star meets girl of his dreams and doggedly pursuers her. It was a story of chaos, secret children, betrayal and tons of life lessons. I enjoyed the progression, deep conversations, therapy and of course the steamy and sexy scenes.

Overall it was well written and well developed with an emotional twist. And true to form, Foster had the Braden’s, Bad’s and many other series characters as front and center supporting the characters and plot. Kane Bad and Sable Montgomery are up next in Falling for Mr Bad and I can’t wait!

Jillian has had enough of Johnny Bad and his constant cancellations that she decides it’s time to set him straight only to have her life turned upside yet again by the rockstar when she arrives at his condo.

Johnny and Jillian are the definition of tension, banter, and combustible chemistry. I loved the way Johnny, Jillian and Zoey navigated their unique situations to become a family.

It’s always great to get updates about past characters and especially the OG Bad crew. I am excited for more from the new Bad crew and can’t wait to see how Kane and Sable’s story will play out.

Aiden Snow and Savannah Peachwood were the perfect selections for Johnny and Jillian. They did a great job of conveying the emotions of the characters while bringing them and the story to life.

Rocked by Love by Melissa Foster brings swoon and steam at epic proportions. This single dad rockstar romance is full of some amazing characters, beautiful emotions, slow burn spice and a great group of secondary characters.

Fashion designer Jillian Braden stormed in the suit of rockstar royalty Johnny Bad for ghosting her multiple times after his manager gave her a contract to design costumes of Johnny's upcoming tour. There she finds Johnny in a mess. He has a teenage daughter he knew nothing about. He needs a place to lay low to let the media storm die down. She offers a solution. The quaint small town resort run by her brother. Will the trip open her eyes to the other side of the bad boy rockstar?

This may be a rockstar romance but since it's set in a small town, it has a warm cozy vibe. Johnny Bad had his glorious rock and roll days. But he is older and more mature now. Still the whole situation has messed him up. He is angry and frustrated that he never knew about her daughter till now. He is clueless about how to handle a moody terrified teenager who has been neglected by her useless mother. He wants to do everything right but doesn’t seem to know how. And then there is Jillian. Sweet. Sassy. Beautiful. Sexy. And with the biggest heart possible. They started on an enemy like situation but as they spent more time together, Jillian realises that there is much more to Johnny that his badboy rockstar personality. They had sparks flying and it was so spicy at appropriate moment. Like any Melissa Foster book there is big families and you may get lost a bit in the crowd of characters but you will also enjoy the unconditional love and support. Johnny and Jillian started as unexpected friend and then became soul mates.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Jillian is all set to design a tour wardrobe for the famous rocker Johnny Bad but he keeps canceling their meetings. Not this it's time, she heads to New York to find out why, and boy does she get a surprise.
Jillian and Johnny are somewhat alike. They live their lives as they want for their careers with no one depending on them. Now that has changed for Johnny with his teenage daughter coming into the picture. Jillian has never had the desire to settle down and have a family.
As these three grow closer, their lives change before their eyes and they don't even realize it. When it is time to leave Colorado and head back home, they began to see that there are real feelings involved but neither Jilliaj nor Johnny will tell the other how they feel because they are not sure if it is the right thing to do.
This story is filled with pain, loss, lust, love, and love of family and friends and will bring the three of them back together. I love this author's books and the way she can tie series together, she is a go-to author for me. if you haven't read this author yet, grab any book and enjoy.

I RECEIVED THIS ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW.

HE IS A FAMOUS ROCK STAR, KNOWN WORLD WIDE. SHE IS A FAMOUS FASHION DESIGNER, WANTED BY THE RICH AND FAMOUS. HE HAS HER UNDER CONTACT TO DESIGN FOR THE BAND FOR HIS NEXT TOUR. FOR THE THIRD TIME JOHNNY DIDN’T SHOW UP FOR HIS APPOINTMENT WITH JILLIAN. SHE WAS STEAMING MAD AND DECIDED TO GIVE HIM A PIECE OF HER MIND. JOHNNY’S MIND WAS REELING. HE HAD JUST FIRED HIS LYING THIEVING MANAGER AND JUST FOUND OUT HE WAS THE FATHER OF A TEENAGE DAUGHTER. PAPARAZZI HAD EVERY DOOR COVERED WORD HAD GOTTEN OUT. JOHNNY NEEDED A PLACE TO HIDE UNTIL HE COULD GET EVERYTHING FIGURED OUT. JILLIAN SAID SHE KNEW OF A PLACE. THAT WAS THE BEGINNING OF AN AMAZING ADVENTURE. I LOVED EVERY PAGE OF THIS BOOK!

I loved this book! It is my favorite book by Ms. Foster. You can’t help but fall in love with Jillian with her honest talk and her loving heart. It was crazy how she never thought she would be a good mom. When she goes to tell off Johnny Bad for cancelling again on her to put a wardrobe together for his band, she meets Zoey, Johnny’s 14 year old daughter he never knew about. It felt like Johnny’s whole world came tumbling down as that was only the tip of things going wrong for him. It was so heartwarming watching Johnny try to get his daughter to open up to him along with Jillian’s help. My heart went out to Zoey with how her mother had treated her. Johnny may have been a rock star with his band, but he was one of the sweetest, kind hearted man I’ve read about. I didn’t want to put the book down. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.

Melissa Foster has officially become an auto-buy author for me. Rocked by Love certainly rocked my reader heart.

This book had everything I wanted & so much more. The story was so addicting, I didn't want to put it down! The characters are wonderfully developed and feel like real people. I absolutely love how Foster writes her characters. Every single one feels different and relatable. I don't know how she does it.

Jillian and Johnny were strong willed people but they let their walls down for each other which is just the cherry on top in a romance for me. I couldn't get enough of Jillian's sass and Johnny's dirty talk! I would totally read a novella of them. His daughter was a good character too. I definitely sympathised with her.

Foster also brought plenty steam with this heartfelt tale! Did I mention Johnny's dirty talk? Because it's worth mentioning multiple times. His mouth was *phew*. Jillian was sexy too. These two together were just combustible okay?

I had a fantastic time reading Rocked by Love. It has heart, steam and wonderful characters. Definitely recommend! Also can totally be read as a standalone!

How can someone like Johnny with his dirty mouth, be so damn cute???

Him and Jillian shouldn't work, but when they're thrown together everything comes into place for both of them.

Johnny just found out he has a teen daughter, who he never knew existed, and within that chaos, Jillian shows up to make sure he knows just what she thinks of him. What neither of them expected was what they find after spending time together.

The build up to their off the chart chemistry and relationship, was written beautifully. After a long time the HEA was reached, without the need for extra drama, harsh words or miscommunication. These two are an example how with talking, listening and knowing what one wants, things have a way of working out and the HEA these two achieved will stay for me sometime to come.

Melissa Foster is back with another winner. Johnny and Jillian’s story wasn’t what I was expecting but it was perfectly them. And I must say for me, Zoey stole the show and was my favourite character in this book.

Melissa Foster hit a home run with this couples story! Jillian is so full of snark that she hands out to Johnny. And he takes every word of it. Johnny and Jillian were a match in this book. They worked hard to get to the HEA they get. I loved Zoey too. This book would not have been the same without her teenage attitude in it.

I absolutely loved Rocked by Love by Melissa Foster; it is an incredible love at first sight love story. It is the ninth book in her The Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hills – Oak Falls series. Melissa Foster has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. I LOVE that she writes the books that I love to read. I could not put Rocked by Love down and I loved every moment on every page. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Rocked by Love is a love at first sight love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Rocked by Love is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, Melissa Foster did not disappoint, especially with the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Rocked by Love is the story of Jillian Braden, famed fashion designer and Johnny Bad, rock star with his band, Bad Intentions and single father of teenage daughter, Zoey. Johnny and Jillian meet when she shows up at his penthouse when he once again cancelled his meeting with her to discuss her contract for designing tour costumes for Johnny and his band. She arrives to learn that Johnny has just found out that he has a fourteen year old daughter, and that his manager, Dick, has been paying off her mother. Zoey’s grandmother had been raising her, but she recently died of an aneurism. Once she became a responsibility of her mother, she immediately dropped Zoey off with Dick, complete with DNA results confirming the parentage. Johnny insists that Jillian sign another NDA, but she is confused about the Johnny’s relationship with Zoey. Johnny is immediately smitten with Jillian. Johnny’s brother, Kane convinces them to leave New York until the media coverage dies down. They ask where Jillian escapes to and she informs them that she heads to the Colorado mountains to an inn owned by her brother, Beau and his wife, Charlotte. Zoey begs Jillian to go with them and Johnny convinces her to go since she is still under contract for two weeks, even though he canceled the Bad Intentions tour. Jillian does not believe that she is mother material. As Jillian and Johnny spend time together in Colorado things immediately heat up between them. I love all the different locations around Beau’s property that Jillian and Johnny explore each other. Conversation between Johnny and Jillian flows so easily, with innuendos and playful banter, and Jillian constantly flirting with Johnny. My favorite part of the story is when Jillian informs Johnny that she feels like they are star crossed lovers and that star crossed lovers do not get happy endings. I love all the different names Jillian calls Johnny. I love how Zoey forms bonds with both Johnny and Jillian. The information that Zoey divulged about her relationship with mother were heartbreaking. As Zoey and Jillian spend time together, I love that Jillian decides to design a new fashion line for teens with Zoey’s help. She also decides to finally release her Wanderlust line that she has delayed because of her contract to design Johnny’s tour wardrobe. I love that both Johnny and Jillian share secrets with one another that they have not shared with anyone before, especially the secrets that Johnny reveals about the details about his mother’s cancer and his relationship with his siblings. I love the chemistry between Johnny and Jillian. I love that with his relationship with Jillian that Johnny has got back into song writing. I love Zoey’s relationship with Beau and Charlotte’s dog, Bandit, and the names of the two fish that Jillian won at the carnival. After their time together in Colorado ends, Jillian returns home to Pleasant Hill, Maryland and Johnny and Zoey to New York to face the press and get Zoey enrolled in school. Jillian tells her brothers’ significant others that problem with her relationship with Johnny is that he is the right guy at the wrong time. Jillian and Johnny give a long-distance relationship a try. One of my favorite parts are all the changes that Jillian and Johnny are willing to make to have a life together. I love the unexpected surprise in their love story. My favorite part of their love story is Johnny’s proposal and when it takes place and what Zoey declares after the proposal. I loved that Rocked by Love is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Johnny and Jillian are facing that need to be resolved. I love how the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love Jillian’s heart to heart conversation that her father regarding his feelings for Johnny and the advice he gives her. My favorite part is the ending of the love story and everything that Johnny does to have a life with Jillian and make her dreams come true. I love all the changes that take place in Zoey. Rocked by Love is filled with poignant and bittersweet moments as well as plot twists. I love the characters and the family dynamic in Rocked by Love the characters feel like family and friends. It feels like a family reunion and catching up with everyone. I enjoyed all the interactions between the Braden siblings, Johnny's interactions with his family, it feels like real family love and makes me laugh at their teasing. I loved all the characters in Rocked by Love and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Who does not love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Rocked by Love, who does not love a love at first sight love story. Highly recommend this incredible love story.

'Johnny Bad was oh so good. The rockstar will not only be rocking the stage in this novel, he'll rock your world. Melissa Foster delivers another knockout read that's a must read for all!' - The British Bibliophile

Thank you to Melissa Foster & Lisa Filipe for providing me with this ebook Advanced Readers Copy for me to read and leave an honest review

Rocked by love (A Braden - Bad Boys After Dark Crossover Novel) by the endlessly-talented Melissa Foster, is a cross-over novel between two of her current book series. 'The Braden's & Montgomerys, Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls'. If you're already familiar with the series, some--if not all--of the characters will already be known to you. If not, welcome! You're going to have one hell of an introduction to this wonderful world in the arms of Johnny Bad.

First and foremost, let's talk tropes! There is no shortage of them here, you'll have:

-Strangers To Lovers
-Workplace Romance (technically!)
-Boss/Employee (kind of!)
-Musician
-Stuck Together (again, technically!)
-Opposites Attract
-Forced Proximity
-Surprise Baby
-Rockstar Romance
-Hate To Love
-Small Town Romance

Johnny Bad is the very definition of the rockstar stereotype. His one and only love is for music and nothing else. He certainly has no plans of giving that up or settling down. Music is what he has lived and breathed for so long, he doesn't know life without it. Imagine his surprise when he not only learns that he has a child, but that child is in fact...a teenager . First time parenting is a challenge enough to navigate in any form, but for Johnny? It's a whole lot trickier, eye rolls and scoffs and all.

Straight off the bat, things only go from bad to worse. Teenager on his doorstep, Johnny learns that his manager has been embezzling from him and a woman with fire in her belly has had enough of his blowing her off. More than once. A cacophony of events force him to change tack and--designer in tow--whether the storm that the three of them, his daughter included, from literally a home away from home. Wherever home may be.

Cue Jillian Braden. The twin to Jax Braden, Jillian possesses the flair not only for fashion, but a fiery flare in her belly when a flame is lit within her when enough is enough. Taking the bull by the horns and stepping into the lion's den, she unintentionally extends a helping hand to Johnny and as as a result, his daughter too. Such is the curse of possessing a soft heart. Needing to think of not only herself but her business, she's willing to do whatever it takes for Johnny and his daughter to not fix the bond between them, but create and maintain it for both of their sakes.

The pair--albeit fictional--are the very definition of a pair written for each other. Soulmates. Soulmates who sail far from the smoothest seas to get to happily ever after shores. Coming from a brood of brothers, Jillian is a strong, determined, passionate woman who has learned to work hard for what she wants out of life, isn't afraid to get down and dirty--putting in the hard work over long hours--, doesn't quit when the going gets tough and has a heart bigger than the size of Texas that can make room for more than she ever thought possible. All round, she's the definition of an independent, badass leading lady who in the book world we know and love. As for Johnny? Sweet bookish Lord above! Melissa can write any kind of man--I'm fully convinced of that--, but she is especially talented in giving us the moody, surly, sexy, sinful and bad, bad boys. And there's none badder than Johnny Bad. Mr. Bad lives up to his name and then some, sometimes several times over, with Jillian in the most creative and unlikely romantic of places. Consider me an official fan--or groupie, if you will--of Mr. Johnny Bad because he did rock my world, and I wouldn't complain for an encore.

This forced proximity, hate-to-love, small-town romance was a knockout read right from the start. Melissa has crafted a story that I fell in love with instantly, and I have full confidence that many of other fans and readers of hers will also echo the same. I couldn't even wait to praise her writing as posting to Instagram before I called it and said that I felt like I had another top read of the year in my hands. I can say with great pride that I was in fact, right.

I'm very proud to add this read as a must read and top read of 2023 both. I knew I made the right choice many moons ago as I jumped on the opportunity to give Melissa Foster a chance, and reads like this only reconfirm why everyone should give her a chance because once you do, you won't turn away ever again. Simply, she'll have you hooked with her bad boys, badass babes & everything in-between that she can get onto the page.

Five stars!

Tropes: rockstar romance, contemporary, forced proximity, surprise baby, hate to love, small town, celebrity

Rockstar, Johnny Bad is having a stressful existence these days. First, he finds out he has a teenage daughter, and he's a guy who never planned to settle down. Then he realizes his manager has been stealing from him, and the woman he hired to design his new tour wardrobe is an enticing spitfire. Jillian Braden has used her quick mind, creative thinking, and fierce determination to build a fashion empire. She's a tough cookie who demands respect, but she also has a tender heart like the rest of her family. When Johnny hired her to design for him, she didn't expect him to postpone the job three times, and she's officially had enough. She is determined to set him straight, but meeting him brings challenges she never expected.

This was an entertaining read. I felt a little sorry for everything Johnny had going on, but having Jillian enter his life when she did really helped him. Their journey was an emotional and heartfelt one. It was entertaining to see these two big personalities brought together in a small town setting. I laughed, teared up a bit, and got a bit too hot. Overall, it was time very well spent. I highly recommend this read. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Loved, loved, loved!!

I was so excited to see Jillian get her happily ever after. She is so strong spirited, lively, and just a true sweetheart. Little did she know that Johnny Bad was exactly what she needed and so much more.

Jillian is a well known fashion designer and has been commissioned by Johnny Bad and his band to design their wardrobe for their upcoming world tour, but Johnny keeps canceling on her. She had enough, so she storms up to his penthouse and walks in on something she never thought she would see, Johnny with a child.

Johnny Bad is a famous musician and didn't know he had a daughter, until 14 years later she is dropped off with at his doorstep and he becomes an instant dad. It takes some time and patience, lots of patience for him to get close to his daughter and to help her heal from her own loss. And Johnny drags Jillian in to help be a buffer and to help guide him.

Jillian never wanted to be a mother, and yet she is perfect at it when she helps Johnny Bad in raising his daughter. She also never thought she would fall hard and fast for the musician. Little did she know that Johnny and his daughter were exactly what she needed to balance her work life with her social life.

I loved reading these two love story and the instant family that is created and visiting old characters. I can't wait for the next book in this series, it is going to be amazing with Sable and Kane.

Full of passion, sweetness, acceptance and love

This book is so good. I was immersed in the story from the very first word. I lived and breathed with Johnny, Jillian, and Zoe, feeling all their feelings as if they were my own - the love, the joy, the fear, the sadness, the laughter, and the tears. All of this author’s books are heart warming and fun but also scorching hot and emotional. Those are my favorite type of romances. Jillian is a fashion designer and was hired to create the tour wardrobe for Johnny, a rockstar. Jillian is so angry that he cancelled their appointment for a third time, she storms into his home to give him a piece of her mind. The timing could not be worse as Johnny has just learned he has a teenaged daughter, Zoey. Jillian gets roped into hiding out with Johnny and Zoey while they try to navigate the new relationship. This book allows us to witness the journey with Johnny, Jillian, and Zoey as they navigate from here to their forever. I especially enjoyed that Zoey was a wonderful and integral addition to the story rather than a flimsy story prop. Expect to feel all the feelings while reading the sweet moments, steamy scenes, chuckles, supportive friends, messy families, painful pasts, and all the love. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series. All of Melissa Foster’s books have a central theme of family - those we are born into and those we create - and so much beautiful heart squeezing love. This book is no exception, it is the embodiment of family and love. I love the Bradens and the Montgomery families - I want to go live in Oak Falls and be part of their world.

"There's only one person I want volunteering to send me dirty texts."

🎸 This Rockstar Romance was so sweet (and steamy 🥵). Reading it was so much fun! 🎸

Some other things I loved:
📱Teenage Daughter vibes
🔥 Smores
💐 Barn adventures
🫠 Protective possessive energy
🛁 The bath tub
🍫 PJs and Twix
🎡 Midnight Ferris wheel
🥤 "Sounds to me like you found your Diet Pepsi."

It was a little slower to open than I usually like and I got a little lost with all the names near the end. I think if you're caught up with the series, that wouldn't matter at all!

Even if you aren't caught up, I definitely recommend this one. Super cute and fun and definitely brought the spice.

✨Rockstar x Fashion designer
✨Dislike to Love
✨Surprise Teenage Daughter
✨Forced Proximity
✨He falls first
✨Small town romance

Rocked by Love is the 10th book in The Bradens & Montgomerys, Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls Series and is a crossover with the Bad Boys After Dark Series. Jillian and Johnny find themselves in an unlikely situation, where he finds out that he has a teenage daughter. Said daughter doesn't want to be alone with him, so she convinces them that Jillian has to come with them to hide from the press. This sends them on a journey to Jillian's brother's inn where they stay together for a couple of weeks until the press loses some of their interest in the whole situation. And while they didn't think that they would get closer to each other during their time together, not only Johnny and his daughter build. relationship, but Johnny and Jillian get closer as well, but this was always only supposed to be temporary, wasn't it? And even if they wanted to start something, they both don't have the time to focus on anything other than their work and Johnny on his newfound daughter, or do they?

I absolutely adored both Johnny and Jillian and how they both individually interacted with Zoey. How while Jillian always kept saying that she is not the motherly type, she kept encouraging Zoey to learn new things and get a little bit more out of her shell. How she started designing together with Zoey and asked her for he input on her designs when she noticed that designing is something that Zoey is interested in. How she listened to Zoey and Johnny in the evenings when he started to teach her how to play the guitar. And while Johnny was a little bit overwhelmed in the beginning, he really seemed to get into the groove of being a parent at the end of their time together in the cottage, learning what he should do to make Zoey feel more comfortable as well as when it is okay to be a striker parent figure.

I also adored how during their time together they slowly grew together as a family. Like how in the mornings both Johnny and Zoey would force Jillian to at least eat a little bit, how Johnny always had extra lunch with him for her when they were out riding, and how Zoey always got out a soda for her in the morning. How Zoey also felt more comfortable when they were all together and Johnny ended up giving up his apartment in New York, so they could all live together in Jillian's house and have a more 'normal' life, well as normal as it gets when you are a rockstar and a fashion designer.

And the chemistry between Jillian and Johnny was just off the charts, with all the spicy scenes that we got around the cottage and how they both created their most scandalous places where they had sex together. And the bathtub scene.... yeah that was just on a different level without them even being in the same place.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Wow. Just wow. Where do I find my own Johnny Bad please? It took me longer than it usually does to read this book because of craziness in my own life. But every time I had a free minute to pick it up I did NOT want to put it back down. Jillian is a take no prisoners, stand up for herself, bad-ass designer. And when rock-God Johnny Bad cancels on her AGAIN, she is ready to give him a piece of her mind. She couldn’t care less about his fame or that no one ever stands up to him. What she finds when she gets there, changes her life forever.

Johnny is everything I want in my book boyfriend. He’s been in the spotlight since he was 15 and can get whatever he wants with the snap of his fingers. Until the teenage daughter he never knew existed shows up on his doorstep. Her grandmother has died, her mother took off, and oh by the way, his band manager has known about her the whole time and been paying off her mom. As expected, Johnny is in shock. But the special part here is how he responds. Johnny the confident rock-God…hot. Johnny the sex-god…hotter. Johnny the sweet guy with his pressed flowers and little notes/texts…I’m here for it. All of those Johnnys dropping his entire life to be there for the daughter he never knew, trying (and initially failing) to connect with her, opening her up little by little by just being there and proving to her that sometimes people do show up and she can trust him. That Johnny is the one that I fell for. So back to my original question…where do I find one?!

Congratulations Melissa. You have absolutely done it again. This might be my favorite yet!
