"What sets Melissa Foster apart are her compelling characters who you care about... desperately...I dare you to read the first chapter and not be hooked." International bestseller, M.J. Rose
"Melissa Foster is a wonderful connector of readers and books, a friend of authors, and a tireless advocate for women. She is the real deal"--Author Jennie Shortridge
"Life's too short to hold important things in." Melissa's blown me away once again with a story that shows you what real love can do. How it can push you forward, raise you up, and empower you.
This is a story about finding your inner strength with the help of someone who will always put you first.
"He'll be her rebound, her dunk shot, her anything, because he's crazy about her." Jax is everything. I can't say enough about him, because he is the protective, caring, affectionate guy we all need, but he is also the hot, sexy, dirty talker, impossible-to-resist flirt we all want. I was in love with the guy after a couple of chapters. Everything he does has a purpose, and his honesty is refreshing.
"When she was with him, she felt unstoppable." Connecting with Jordan was so easy. She's lost so much in her life, and she's given up so much as well. It's not that she feels unlovable, but maybe she's afraid to ask for too much, because then the little she has can be taken away. I can relate. She thinks she has so much baggage, but she doesn't realize that she's so easy to love, and how much she deserves.
"How do you always know how to make me smile?" "That's easy. I never want you to have a reason not to." Jordan is about to get married, but something feels off. She can't quite put her finger on it. Maybe it's because her fiancé never has time for her, or keeps brushing her off. He never calls, he never cares. He's taken her for granted, but she can't see it - until Jax. Jax has never felt a connection as strong as he did when he first met Jordan months before, but she belongs to someone else. Still, he can't deny what he's feeling deep inside, and he knows it may end in hurt for him. What will it take for Jordan to see what's standing right in front of her?
"The only thing quick about me is how fast I'm falling for you." I loved them separately, and I absolutely loved them together. I loved how he empowered her in every single way. They grew together in this story, forming the sort of friendship that is long-lasting, and laying the foundation for the kind of love that will never let go. They will always be there for each other. And, yes, of course, Jax is all sorts of hot and you can't help but want to be teleported into this book for a couple of minutes. Or hours. Or days?
"I see the real you. Every bit of you." When Jordan opens her eyes, and allows herself to put herself first, she finally realizes she deserves more. It takes courage to do that. Sometimes it takes more courage to let go than to hang on. And once she does that, she knows there is no one else but Jax for her.
I loved seeing characters from past books, especially Nick and Trixie, and that familiar feeling of belonging you always get from any of Melissa's books.
"Can I keep you forever?" Jordan thought she was asking for too much until along came love in the shape of a man who can't see anything else but her. Nor would he ever want to. Whatever she needs, whatever she wants, he'll always be there.
I have this kind of running joke when I read a Melissa Foster book, how long will it take before I start crying? Well, I almost made it to the end but the last two chapters did me in. This story has it all - it will have you laughing out loud one minute and mad as all get out the next while a short time later you'll have tears running down your face, I love when a book can pull so many different emotions from you.
Jordan and Jax meet when she goes to him for a consultation on designing her wedding gown...and there was a strong connection between the two, now here we are eight months later and they meet again under different circumstances but she lets Jax know that she wants him to design her gown. Well, Jax insists that they meet and go over things and that is where things really start to get interesting....
Jax would like to know more about the bride he is designing a wedding gown for so they meet for coffee, dinner, and late nights at his office going over different designs which brings upon a friendship between the two. She tells him things about her past, things that her fiancé doesn't care about so how can her feelings about Jax not develop more and during these times Jax notices lots of things not only about the woman he's falling for but also about the man she's supposed to marry.
This story is one that will help you find the strength you need to realize that there is something better out there for you, don't settle just because you're comfortable or scared, hold out for the one that makes your heart skip a beat (in a good way), the one that you can't wait to see when you wake up in the morning, the one that you want to be the last person you talk to at night. There is someone for everyone you just have to be open to finding the right one no matter if it feels wrong at the time.
I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys Steamy Contemporary Romances, New Adult Romances, Small Town Romances, or Large Family Romances.
Audiobook Review: Holy!!!! These narrators, Meg Sylvan and Aiden Snow, were phenomenal. Their voices were perfect for what I thought Jax and Jordan should sound like. Both voice not only brought the heat but they also brought the sweet and loving parts of the story to life. Melissa Foster found exactly the right narrators to tell her story.
eBook Review: I was 3% into the book and I was already hooked. Jax and Jordan have met, the sparks are already flying, and Jax is pouring on the charm. I love how much Jordan tries to resist Jax. She cannot stay away but she realizes that they should not be more than friends, at least until she does not have a ring on her finger.
Jax, oh that charmer. He knows in his head that Jordan is off-limits, but his heart is screaming to make Jordan his. He promises not to flirt, he promises to behave but some promises are meant to be stretched but never broken because Braden’s do not break promises. While reading the book and I blushed and swooned so many times.
I love that Melissa Foster does not write books with cheaters in them. She writes steamy, hot love stories with characters that give their whole selves to each other. The characters value themselves, their friendships, and their families. They love with their whole hearts and stay true to each other no matter what is happening in their lives.
Thank you to Grey’s Promotions, for the advanced reading copy. This review contains my own thoughts and opinions.*
For me, reading a Melissa Foster book is like indulging in my favorite snacks or sweets. Then Came Love was a great read, and it was hard to put down!
Jordan Lawler is determined to marry Todd, her fiancé of several years, when though they live in separate states and ahah we learn about Todd isn’t that great. But Jax Braden is so, so tempting. Jax Braden met Jordan eight months ago and it was essentially love at first sight. He’s trying to not cross any lines, though, as he works to design her wedding gown.
Their connection and chemistry was very hot! And once they get together, the book gets quite spicy. It was dual POV, so you feel their conflicting emotions as they fight the feelings they have for each other. I really felt for Jordan, as she had been through so much in her life and deserved happiness. Jax was a bit of a rascal and VERY flirty - some readers may be uncomfortable, at times it was a little over the top.
Then Came Love is part of Foster’s Braden series and larger world of interconnected romances, and it can be read as a standalone. There are a lot of updates on previous couples, as Jax is from a large family, but not so much that it would be difficult for a new reader to understand or follow along. I personally enjoyed it, as I have read most of them.
I enjoyed this one, and am looking forward to Jillian’s story next (Jax’s sister) - she’s one of my favorite Foster characters!
CW: the main characters do become friends and flirt, but nothing physical happens while Jordan is engaged

Then Came Love by Melissa Foster was the ninth book in the Bradens & Montgomery’s Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls series. It was also one of many in her Love in Bloom series, but could be read as a stand-alone.
I’ve taken a sabbatical from formal reviews for a while, so following are a couple quick thoughts: I totally loved Jax and Jordan. I wasn’t sure what to expect since the description said that one was already in a relationship. So it’s important to note that there wasn’t any cheating. No spoilers, so no elaboration on how they came to be, but know that they started as friends. There was also a secondary story that held a suspenseful vibe, which made the story even more intriguing. And lastly, Foster also included the entire Braden clan (and extended clan) that we’ve come to love. All in all, it was an enjoyable, fun and entertaining read and a great addition to the series!
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Oh Man! Foster fulfilled all of my expectations and more in this her latest novel featuring the Braden family. Then Came Love, delivered an emotional tale about not settling for less than one deserves.
SUMMARY
Eight months ago, renowned wedding gown designer Jaxon Braden met his soul mate. However, there was a major problem: she was to marry someone else. He knew he should get her out of his thoughts, but that was easier said than done. The beautiful Jordan Lawler had somehow wormed her way into his heart. The situation took a major turn when she hired him to design her wedding gown. The right thing to do was to let his sister do the job, but he couldn’t walk away. Soon they would find themselves in a position where feelings would intensify and passion ignites.
I had some reservations about Jaxon and Jordan’s story because of Jordan’s engaged status at the beginning. But my worries were for naught. Foster did a bang-up job with their story. Have no fear, no cheating occurred between the protagonists. A line in the sand was drawn and never once did they cross it, despite their growing feelings for each other.
Be still my beating heart. All of Foster’s heroes hold a special place in my heart. Now Jaxon is on that list. So far, he is my favourite Braden hero. The perfect embodiment of the following adjectives: caring, supportive, passionate, protective and affectionate. He showed how a woman should be treated by a man who truly loves her. He demonstrated these traits even after he was relegated to the friend zone. Flirtations occurred, but he never crossed the line.
Foster’s heroines are relatable, and Jordan was no exception. Her experiences led to her current insecurities. Insecurities, which led to her settling with her fiancée's unacceptable behaviour. Jaxon showed her she deserved so much more. It took her a while to recognise this fact, but when she did, she took a major step, which showcased her courage. A step which would change her life in the best way imaginable. By now you may wonder about Jordan’s finance. I certainly wouldn’t wish him on my enemy. What she saw in him, I cannot tell.
I enjoyed the slow burn, swoon worthy romance which developed between our couple. Their relationship, which grew from friends to lovers was chock-full of emotions. it will make you laugh and cry, while you root for this awesome couple. The side story involving Jordan’s family will break your heart, then slowly bring you to a place of healing.
Then Came Love delivered a well-written romance. It gives you hope and demonstrates that one should never settle for less than they deserve.
Then Came Love is book #9 in The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls series of romances.
This is the story of wedding dress designer Jax Braden and how he falls for bride-to-be Jordan when she walks into his office for a wedding gown consultation. She’s forbidden to him for too many reasons but he can’t get her out of his head.
Jordan postpones her wedding once more after meeting Jax, she can’t believe the feelings she had for him, but she’s engaged to Todd, the man who stood by her when a family tragedy struck. Eight months later Jordan meets Jax again at the wedding of her friend and the sparks between them still exist. Neither of them are cheaters, so can they remain just friends?
With the underlying theme of a search for a lost sibling, this romance puts temptation in the way for Jax and Jordan. I am so glad that they remained true, didn’t cheat and got their happy-ever-after. There’s a great ending and I look forward to reading the next books in the series.
I read the stories of Sully and Cowboy, but I wanted to know more about Sully’s sister Jordan. I really wanted to slap that jerk Todd and I was surprised that it took so long to finally dump the creep. Jax treated her like a queen and instead of telling her to forget about her sister, he helped her find her. I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it to everyone.
I was so happy to return to the Braden clan! Jax is a wonderful designer and met his match while she was engaged to someone else. I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect in this story as Melissa has never had cheating in her books and this was no exception!!! Jordan not only had fantastic ideas of what she wanted in her dress and Jax had her help with the design even though working with her was hard on him emotionally. The Braden's are truly a remarkable family and I loved the family interactions.
How crazy that Jax meets his soulmate while on a design consultation for her wedding gown. Jax and Jordan end up forming a connection that will make it nearly impossible for him to work on her wedding. But, things may not be as they seem. Will Jax be united with his soulmate, or will he be doomed to spend the rest of his life pining for someone that belongs to another man?
Jordan feels the same connection Jax does, but isn't about to cheat. But she can't help the friendship they develop, the ease she feels being around him, the peace she feels with him, and the way she feels worthy of love, which is quite unlike the way her fiancé makes her feel. When things fall apart, and Jax is there for her, her life finally starts looking up. But, can she allow Jax to heal her bruised heart, or is she too far into her eroded self image to let this bright, charming man into her life?
Jordan and Jax''s story is sweet, simmering with tension, and a bit angsty. Just a bit of clarification in case you were curious - there is no cheating, so do not let that be something that keeps you from reading this excellent installment of the Bradens and the Montgomerys series. I loved it, loved how Jax never gave up Jordan but also did not cross the line that would have been so easy to trample on. Jordan had a lot going on in her life, but Jax was her rock, and I loved every word of their journey.
Then Came Love, The Braden's & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill - Oak Falls book 9, by Melissa Foster.
Then Came Love is an entertaining, light-hearted story that reads fluently and gave me all kinds of feelings.
I adored Jax and Jordan as a couple! They were so in tune with each other and understood each other on a higher level, they were soulmates. Thinking of Jax Braden makes me turn into a cartoon character with heart-eyes! I was constantly swooning because he was so caring, sweet, and thoughtful. Jax is the uber book boyfriend! Jax and Jordan's journey was so beautiful, endearing, and heartwarming. Jax helped Jordan become the person she always wanted to be, believed in her, encouraged her to follow her dreams, and allowed her to discover herself at her own pace.
Jordan and Jax met months before this story started. Jax is the designer of Jordan's bridal gown, they meet and have an instant connection. When they initially start designing the dress, they become friends, which turns into something more. Initially, they fight the strong connection but realize their love is too special not to give into. I want to make clear that there is no cheating in this story! I loved how Melissa Foster handled this, she gave this couple the space to grow close and realize there was more between them without crossing a line.
The side story with Jordan's family was so tragic and heartbreaking. I liked the suspense it brought to the story and gave a little glimpse at Melissa Foster's new series, coming this summer.
A little angst, mystery, some laughs, steam, a tear, and a lot of love made Then Came Love one of the best stories of 2022.
I received an ARC from the author but am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
The start to Jax and Jordan’s relationship is different. Jax is designing Jordan’s wedding dress and the first time they met there was a connection between them. Yet, Jordan is engaged to another man. Jax knows that she is the one for him and he never gives up hope, but he also doesn’t want to do anything to destroy her current relationship.
I loved Jax and Jordan’s relationship. They went from just Jax designing her wedding dress, to forming and friendship, and eventually it does lead to something more. There is chemistry between them and they both are completely drawn to each other, yet both know that there can’t really be anything between the two of them.
I was completely hooked on a side story line involving Jordan’s family and her sister that vanished years prior. I loved this added mystery and suspense to the story! This is also a great lead-in to another new series coming this summer.
If you’re looking for a small town, slow burn romance this is one to check out.
Melissa Foster is a great author, she has an unique style and a tender touch with characters. Jax is a difficult character, he is in love with a woman who is engaged with another man. What can he do in this scenario? Jordan feels something for Jax since meeting him months ago for designing her wedding dress, but aside from being engaged to her college sweetheart, she has family problems to face too. Jax is a dream come true and he is a sensitive soul with such a good heart. Jordan is his soul mate in every way and she takes some time to see that, but when they finally get together it is so good and lovely. So emotional and everything you can expect from loving hearts. I love this book!!!
With thousands of romance novels on the market, when you find one with a truly unique story, you've got to grab on with both hands.
📚 𝗧𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Forbidden love
📖 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀: Jax is a world-famous wedding dress designer. Since the day he met Jordan, he has known she was meant for him. The only problem? He's designing her wedding dress and she's engaged to someone else.
🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I grabbed this book up on release day because of the blurb. A male MC designing wedding dresses? A client he's in love with? THE ANGST! I was slightly scared of the whole cheating thing, but I knew Melissa Foster wouldn't do me dirty.
Jax was such a great character. He was in love with Jordan from the first page, and he is basically flawless throughout the entire book. The situations they're put in - fittings and dinners and moments - all created a great slow burn. And when Jordan finally calls off her wedding, I love that Melissa Foster gave the characters time to actually be together.
My only gripes are that even though she hasn't done this in any of her books, I honestly need to know the future these two have together. I need an epilogue. It felt like the end of the book only set up the next in her series, vs. giving me deep closure. But other than that it was wonderful, and it's always a good sign when I'm craving more of a couple after 350 pages.
5 Star Review of Then Came Love (The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hills - Oak Falls #9) by Melissa Foster
This book appeared to be a bit of a departure form what I come to expect from Melissa Foster. Jax Braden is designing a wedding dress for Jordan Lawler and although their is chemistry between them neither of them cross the line.
As I have come to expect from Melissa Foster the story was well written with characters whose story you cannot help but be drawn to. However Jordan’s relationship is not as strong as she would like and she realizes that things need to change.
I loved how supportive Jax was, always willing to listen and be there to support Jordan no matter what. A man with integrity who I fell for hard and fast.
I love stories set in small towns and for me Oak Falls, Virginia sounds like a wonderful town to escape too. I loved the push and pull dynamic of their relationship and it was entertaining to watch it play out.
I absolutely loved this book!!! I couldn’t put it down! I loved how Jax was with Jordan. Everyone needs a Jax. He was so supportive of her and helped her come into her own. He has become by favorite Braden…..well until the next one. Now when can I get Jillian’s story and Sully’s story??
I can never say no to a Melissa Foster novel. They jump out at me demanding to be read. THEN CAME LOVE was no different. I couldn't wait to read Jax Braden's story, the wedding dress designer who I knew would be the ultimate romantic, I wasn't wrong. This story was, as all Ms. Foster's are, extremely emotional; I laughed, cried, and raged, everything I expected to experience - nothing more nothing less.
"I fell for someone else's woman and I thought I could handle it."
A request, a consultation for her wedding dress has Jordan Lawler questioning everything about her forthcoming wedding. The moment she meets Jax Braden there is an instant connection. Now, eight months later, her wedding date is set, and she still wants Jax to design her gown. What she never expected was to form a friendship with a man who would change her life. Jax fell for Jordan the moment he met her and he wanted to know more about her. He begins to spend more time with her to learn more about her, coffee dates, morning runs together, late night dinners at his office talking about designs, he wanted to learn who the real Jordan was, even though he knew she was already taken. Can he be just friends with Jordan without his heart becoming involved?
"How do you always know how to make me smile?" "That's easy, I never want you to have a reason not to." "I don't know how women resist that Braden charm." "You seem to be resisting it well"
Jax brings out something Jordan never thought she'd find again, joy. A tragic event during her childhood took away all her happiness, and since then she has simply gone with the flow and done what was expected of her ... including marrying her college boyfriend Todd. Now she was beginning to second guess her decisions because Todd was constantly pulling out of their appointments and always finding an excuse for not being able to see her, he was showing interest in her. Whereas Jax listened to her, he spent time finding out who the real Jordan was ... he saw her, and it scared her. She was engaged to another man, and she shouldn't be experiencing butterflies whenever she thought of or was near Jax. Will she be able to resist Jax's constant flirting, or will she fall for his irresistible charms?
" ... I do care, and I see the real you. Every bit of you."
I adored Jax and Jordan's story. Ms. Foster wrote Jordan's dilemma beautifully, there was a learning of who she was, an opening of her heart for a love she never knew she could experience. Jax was just ... oh, there are no words to describe just how perfect he was. He was sexy, flirtatious, romantic, caring, and most importantly understanding of Jordan's situation. Together they were the perfect couple. I loved that, given Jordan's circumstances, there was no cheating, only a friendship that could evolve into so much more.
I must mention Jax's family, they are so loving, loud, and understanding, it's easy to see how Jax became the man he was. Their support for Jax and Jordan was amazing, especially when Jordan must make some tough decisions and when she comes face to face with her past.
Another wonderful read from Ms. Foster. One of my favourites for 2022
This Love in Bloom series has gotten so vast and has so many subseries that it can be a little daunting. But have no worries if you’re not up to speed on every character. This talented wordsmith does an excellent job of making sure each romance stands alone, with just enough information about the other characters that you don’t feel like you’ve missed something vital, yet it whets your appetite so you'll want to know more about them and read their stories, too.
All of Jax Braden's siblings are ridiculously successful, and he's no exception, owning a bridal gown design business for the rich and famous. He has yet to find the love of his life, but when Jordan Lawler walks into his shop, he knows she's the one. Except she’s there to get her own wedding dress designed for her upcoming wedding. To her fiancé. Jax's “the one” belongs to someone else.
Forced into a decidedly off-limits scenario, Jax and Jordan become friends. As Jax helps and supports Jordan, the doubts she has about her own relationship become magnified. Add in some unresolved issues from her past that weigh heavily on Jordan, and she has some major decisions to make.
Some writers would take this scenario and jump right into a physical relationship between the MCs, but Foster took the more challenging road. The relationship between Jax and Jordan may have some unrequited lust, but it’s built on friendship, admiration and support, which I love. There’s no doubt that whatever these two are building is something strong and unshakeable that will last forever. It's the kind of love every girl dreams of and it is glorious! The deep emotion is profound, and their connection is exquisitely beautiful.
For a full-of-feels, smile-inducing, fill-your-heart-to-bursting phenomenal read, look no further. Life is too short to read lousy books, so fill your time with this fantastic, fulfilling, reading escape. Your romantic heart will thank you with a great big happy sigh!
Then Came Love is the brand new romance book from Melissa Foster, and it is the ninth book in The Bradens & Montgomery’s Pleasant Hill and Oak Falls Series.
Firstly you do not need to have read any of the previous books to enjoy this tantalising romance, as with all of Foster’s books they are uniquely tailored for anyone to sit and enjoy. But if you have previously read her book, you will have been like myself, desperately waiting for Jax and Jordan’s story.
Secondly, this is an absolutely amazing forbidden romance! Jordan Lawler is set to be married and has opted for the famous Jax Braden to design her wedding gown. After an initial consultation, Jax is unable to get the incredibly beautiful Jordan out of his mind, but with a pending wedding, and a betrothal to someone else, it is more than complicated.
But what happens when you feel a pull and instant connection to someone else? An incredibly hot and passionate romance! Jordan is unable to fight the spark building between her and Jax, and with a fiancé who is always away and opting to put others above her, she is starting to realise perhaps accepting a proposal was a bad idea.
As a romance reader I hate cheating troupes, and i can say this story is written in a respectful way that will please all. Their romance is cute, the connection strong and you totally ship their happily ever after.
I would recommend to all romance series lovers and those who want to get stuck into and excitingly addictive read. With Melissa Foster you will never be disappointed, and I know I can always count on her to deliver a flawless and heart captivating read.
It’s time for another amazing romance book alert. Melissa has a new book out and you know how much I love her books. So of course I’m gonna share it with you! It’s called Then came love and it follows Jax and Jordan’s story.
Jax and Jordan story is a love finds you at the most inopportune moments type of story. Jordan ,a sweet woman who lost her family, is engaged and meets with Jax a brilliant famous wedding dress designer to design her dress. This should be a normal wedding thing to do but when sparks fly Jordan is left wondering what is wrong with her. Can she be friends and work with Jax to get her dress made or should she steer clear and buy a generic off the rack dress? Jordan is not alone in these sparks; Jax felt them too and hasn’t gotten her off his mind since but she’s marrying someone else. Can he show her how love is meant to be?
I definitely recommend this book. As usual I was hooked from the first chapter. They are so emotionally tied together it makes me smile. I had tears of joy and sadness in the last chapter. I was sad the book ended so fast and I loved the story but wanted more. I want proposal, and more on Sully. I honestly can’t believe I got a year to wait to read Sully’s story but Melissa definitely reeled me in and left me longing for more in a good way. Her books are definitely addictive so head over and get your copy of this book today. You will be happy you did
I'm so glad I can read more than one book in a day because after the book I read before this one, Melissa Foster soothed my soul & took away my rage with Then Came Love. Every book that I've read by her is filled with heart & soul so everyone needs her books in their lives since the world is out of control. Jordan is a girl who will settle for less than she deserves because it's better than nothing with everything she's already gone through. She's marrying a man who doesn't deserve her, but luckily, she hired Jax to create her wedding dress, and since he gets to know the brides before designing the dress, they start spending some time together. Jax instantly feels a strong connection to Jordan, but he's not inappropriate whatsoever, however, he's the best thing to happen to her as he teaches her to not settle for less than she deserves even if it isn't him. I loved these two so much & was cheering them on the whole time as this story will stay with me for a very long time. You'll have to hit those one click buttons to see how it all pans out so get to clicking as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Melissa Foster is quickly becoming a favorite author for me. She writes these genuinely tender and caring men who also love to talk dirty and bring a woman to her knees. Jax being one of them. Oof, do I want him as my new book boyfriend. He is a wedding gown designer for celebrities and small town brides and genuinely loves what he does. Him and Jordan have an insta connection but she’s engaged to her long time boyfriend, who is married to his job, they live separately, and for like of better terms, he sucks. Jax wants to make her the gown of her dreams but also wants her to realize and maybe her current fiancé isn’t her soulmate. Jax does everything besides cross the line to try to win her over and open her eyes to realize how she’s feeling about her fiancé, isn’t really how a man should treat a woman. The chemistry is fireworks with Jax and Jordan. They are like moth to flames and have so much in common and he’s so patient and kind with her. I devoured this in one sitting and was rooting for them because Jordan deserved a Jax, not how her fiancé treated her. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book is so good, you won’t want to put it down! I loved Jordan and her sweetness, but couldn’t stand her fiancée Todd. I was so glad she had kept putting their wedding off. It was serendipity that she met Jax Braden to create her wedding dress for her wedding. Jax was the sweetest, most caring man I have met in a book! As soon as Jax saw Jordan, he knew there was something there but knew he couldn’t do anything about it. Eight months later Jordan is working in the town Jax works in and he was going to create her wedding dress. I loved that Jax was determined to show Jordan how she should be treated. It was awful that Jordan lost her parents and younger sister in a car accident when she was younger. Her wonderful aunt and uncle took her in and raised her. The one off thing about the wreck was that her sister was never found. Jordan always felt she was alive, but her awful ex told her to let it go as he was tired of hearing about it. I loved the Braden and Whiskey families. They had so much love to give and was always there to help their family and friends. The story is exciting with some wonderful scenes that I felt like I was there. I loved the book and strongly encourage you to read it. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Almost a year ago, wedding gown designer Jax Braden found his soulmate. The only problem? She’s engaged to another man. Jordan Lawler is beautiful, smart, and kind, and even though she’s unavailable, he can’t seem to stop thinking about her.
Jax knows he’s getting himself into trouble when Jordan hires him to design her wedding gown, but he can’t stay away either. As Jax and Jordan grow closer, he falls more deeply in love. Now, he just has to make it out of this with his heart still intact.
Okay, so this novel had such a fun concept, and I really enjoyed it!!! I really liked Jax and Jordan’s story - it was wonderfully slow burn and sweet as can be!!! There was a healthy amount of angst, and I enjoyed watching their relationship develop as time passed and the novel progressed.
Jordan. She’s in so much pain, and she’s so incredibly lonely. I felt so bad for her, and I was so excited when she finally started standing up for herself and spreading her wings. Jax. He’s got a bit of an alpha streak, but that’s definitely part of his charm! I loved how kind, caring, and protective he was. I would recommend this book to those who love a good slow burn romance!
Must have cold water, a fan and many, many tissues! Then Came Love (Bradens and Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill-Oak Falls, Book 9) by Melissa Foster is all the feels! Once again, Ms. Foster has brought another romance couple to in living color life. Jax and Jordan are each amazing in their own ways, but Jax seriously stole my heart. As I have come to expect from any Melissa Foster book, the characters, new and old, kept things solidly interesting. Jax and Jordan are no exception. These two have so much respect for one another and their friendship is really exactly what Jordan needs. As Jax lays on the charm, it's clear to all (even Jordan), he is sincere and serious in his gentle pursuit. After Jordan has her epiphany, she goes after what she wants and the pursuit is on. Jax heats things up and after their long, slow-burn build, these two are spontaneous combustion. The plot is steeped in emotional turmoil then triumph. As Jordan comes to understand all her feelings and what they are telling her, her world opens up to so much love, friendship, new opportunities and above all, utter joy in happiness. Overall, this is a wonderful romance not to be missed and I think Jax is likely to become every Melissa Foster fan's favorite Hero. His love, devotion, dedication, determination, persistence and protectiveness of Jordan is inspiring and the perfect foundation for a love everlasting HEA. I'm also serious about the tissues! You will need a box for Jordan's bonus happy ending. I read an ARC of this book via Grey's Promotions and voluntarily share my review.
Then Came Love is a beautifully written tale about two souls who were always meant to be entwined. Oh My! What a heart stealing and truly emotional ride I went on as I devoured this story.
What happens when you find your soul mate but she belongs to someone else? Well.... According to wedding dress designer Jax Braden you don't cross the line, instead you show them how they deserve to be treated and show them what real love looks like. Oh my heart and ovaries. Jax Braden is everything you could want from a man. He's a sweet family man that is sexy, romantic, protective, loyal and all the heart flutters swoon-worthy. I absolutely adore him and the way he treated Jordan. My heart ached for Jordan. Her back story pulled on my heart strings and had me rooting so hard for a Jax and Jordan HEA. However, their journey to a HEA sure did pull on each and every one of my emotions. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I smiled, I held my breath, my heart ached, and as I hit those dreaded two words 'The End' my heart was warm and blissfully happy.
Melissa Foster has an amazing ability to create characters / families you can't wait to revisit again, and again, and again. And... The Bradens I absolutely adore them and their undying love and support for each other and those who they bring into their fold. I want in!!
That ending.... What a sneak peek!! I can't wait for more!
I Highly Recommend this Angsty and truly Beautiful story!!
Jordan has endured a devastating past that she hasn’t completely healed from. She is preparing for her upcoming nuptials which brings Jax, the man she has hired to create her dress, into her life. Not only would he offer her a friendship, but he also gave her a glimpse of what her future could be if she was willing to open her heart to the possibilities.
From their first meeting Jax knows that Jordan is special, but he is conflicted as she is not single. All he can do is be the friend she needs and not pursue her while he hopes she recognizes what they could have together before it is too late.
Jordan deserves so much more than the life she has been living and Jax is the perfect man to show her what she has been missing. He is the perfect mix of sweet and swoony as with everything he does and says he puts Jordan’s needs first and proves what love truly means.
Then came Jax and Jordan and rocked my world in this sexy standalone from Melissa Foster who is a legendry author of sexy romance. You weave some wonderful tales and the Bradens and Montgomerys are one of my favourite series. Jax Braden.... swoonworthy, sexy, sweet, loyal and deliciously delectable. I love how he treated Jordan, thats how a mans supposed to treat his lady... like a queen. The Bradens are like family to me, I love catching up with all of Melissa's loveable characters and even if this is the first time you have read one of Melissa's books everyone is like your best friend. Emotions were high, tears fell and hearts were breaking all over... with this angsty read and amazing book where you are guaranteed a HEA. I can't wait to get back to Redemption Ranch and follow Sully and Cowboy on their journey to find love.
The best book ever for me by Ms. Melissa Foster. It is my newest favorite book of hers.
Wow! The emotions of this story are so unreal. It gives me goosebumps upon reading this epic story of betrayal, sorrow, loss, and love. I enjoyed reading every chapter of this book. New York City is one of my favorite cities in New York State. The author did a fantastic job in that scene.
Love works each magic where you cannot imagine it will happen at the right time. This book is hard to put down. Once you start reading, you are doomed. You might need a box of tissues not because it is a tear-jerker and also laugh out loud moments. Prepare to be amazed at the author's writing. She will be blown you away.
