A welcome return to the world of Max and Isadora Ambrosine. This book is centered around Max and his spiritual struggle with accepting being Osiris and all that comes along with it. He is torn between wanting to protect and be with his family and his responsibilities as lord of the underworld - which is of course further complicated by his relationships with his brother and sister-in-law, and an assassin who appears to be targeting those with magical powers...
