Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was a Scottish writer and physician. He created the character Sherlock Holmes in 1887 for A Study in Scarlet, the first of four novels and fifty-six short stories about Holmes and Dr. Watson. The Sherlock Holmes stories are milestones in the field of crime fiction.

Doyle was a prolific writer. In addition to the Holmes stories, his works include fantasy and science fiction stories about Professor Challenger, and humorous stories about the Napoleonic soldier Brigadier Gerard, as well as plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction, and historical novels. One of Doyle's early short stories, "J. Habakuk Jephson's Statement" (1884), helped to popularise the mystery of the brigantine Mary Celeste, found drifting at sea with no crew member aboard.

A fun little filler story and a very fluid read to boot. Unfortunately I had it all figured out pretty quickly.

i have enjoyed the book but it was little boring type because i think this book need more characters and twists inthe story but it went on simply .it is a good book to read but as a time pass not that u can tell this story to one and all and every one will like it.i think the starting was amazing but on the other hand ending was quite boring.i think the best part of this book was when the holder put the arthur in the jail.it was quite interesting part that i found.i think these were the characters
sherlock homes,dr watson, alaxender holder, arthur holder, mary holder, lucy, sir george bumwell, francis prosper.the conflict was that the emerald crown was missing.overall i will advice u to read more books of the same type but this one was quite boring

An amazing, interesting story. Full of smartness and intelligence. It makes our brains working. It makes us expect actions. I can not find alot of words to write. It is for kids, but it doesn't matter, because
a reader is never too old to read kids story.

honestly, it's 3.5 stars. it's a cute story but there are lots of better books. And when I read it, I wasn't in level 1 at English, so it was really just a book.. But it doesn't mean it's boring or bad. I love this oxford series. it helped me a lot when I started to read in english 😃
