Windy Harbor #4

Endless Summer Nights

Rate this book
A steamy, second-chance, small-town, hockey romance full of heartbreak, heat, and the one he could never quite let go of from USA Today bestselling author Willow Aster.

Running into Lola Donavan wasn’t exactly on my summer agenda—not after she broke my heart in college. But there she is, at my family’s resort…with her new boyfriend. And not just any boyfriend—my hockey rival. Perfect.

Seeing Lola again is a punch to the gut. She’s even more beautiful than I remember, and the second our eyes meet, I know my feelings aren't as buried as I’ve pretended. I tell myself it doesn’t matter, that whatever we had is long gone. But one look at her and I know I’m lying to myself.

Then fate throws us into each other’s path again—no boyfriend, no dissecting the past, just the two of us and a spark that instantly reignites. One night together proves the chemistry between us never died.

But desire is the easy part. Trust? Not so much.

She walked away once without a word, and it still haunts me. Now that she’s back in my life, I don’t know which is more dangerous—letting myself fall for her all over again, or bracing for the moment she leaves and breaks me a second time.

Endless Summer Nights is book four in the interconnected, standalone Windy Harbor series.

This was a second chance romance with a little bit of angst and as usual, a wonderful family in Windy Harbor. I feel like this should be called 2 weddings and a reconnection. Because there was so many wedding bells ringing in this one. Haha! Though it was a great reason to have all of the family continue to get together. Who can be mad at that?

I felt so bad for Lola and Tully once we started to unravel what originally tore them apart five years ago. But seeing her start the book off with Patrick, who had the GALL to bring her to Windy Harbor for a weekend away at Tully's family resort... what a tool! Well, the joke's on him, because once these two see one another again, fate starts working her magic.

However, this book did have one of the drawbacks I always call out when flashbacks are deployed in a Second Chance... the super reptativeness of certain scenes. If you are going to SHOW us a scene in a flashback... please don't also have them then recount every moment of said flashback by TELLING us about it also. It will have me skipping parts every time. Save the flashbacks (if you must deploy them) for the very key moments. And there were some of those. But not the level that were shown here.

Overall, I still enjoyed this. As mentioned, the family is great! The meals, holidays, sharing, and kids made me feel cozy and connected to the story. I can't wait for Noah to get his girl!

Narrated in duet by Gideon Frost & Megan Wicks, and they were excellent.

This was everything I hoped it would be and so much more.

Lola and Tully’s story is everything I love about a second chance romance. It’s emotional, full of longing, beautifully layered, and kept surprising me in the best ways. Every reveal made me rethink their past, and I loved how the dual timeline added depth instead of simply revisiting old memories. Watching their history unfold made every moment in the present feel even more meaningful, and their chemistry never once lost its spark.

Tully completely stole my heart. His quiet devotion, endless patience, and unwavering love for Lola made him impossible not to adore. Once I understood everything Lola had been carrying, my heart ached for her in a completely different way. Their journey wasn’t just about finding their way back to each other. It was about healing, forgiveness, and finally letting love outweigh years of hurt. The emotional twists genuinely caught me off guard, and I couldn’t wait to see how everything would come together.

The family dynamic remains one of my favorite parts of this series. The sibling banter, unconditional support, and sense of belonging make this small town feel so warm and alive without ever overshadowing Lola and Tully’s relationship. I loved these characters, this family, and this little town with my whole heart.

This book left my heart happier than I can put into words.

Huge thank you to Willow Aster and Valentine PR for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨

SPICE: 🌶️🌶️

I always love a good second chance romance and I really enjoyed this book! I’m a fan of the series as a whole because I love this family, and I was absolutely giddy to get Tully’s book and he did not disappoint.

Tully and Lola deserved their second chance and a happy ending and I am so glad that they got it! The way the dual timeline played out had me so invested in them because it was so clear in the present that no matter what had happened in the past, that they were so clearly still it for each other.

✨ Small Town
✨ Hockey Romance
✨ Second Chance
✨ It’s always been You
✨ She’s a tattoo artist

TW: I do need to mention that there is mention of pregnancy loss in this story so please protect your self 💕

This one kept me on the edge of my seat. Lola and Tully had amazing chemistry, and tension and I loved getting their story. I was so invested and so happy for them when they figured themselves out.

I also just love this family. Yes, it’s Tully’s book, but the Whitman family as a whole just makes this whole series so special. With them and their craziness, they just always feel like warmth and belonging and that what you for so much with this book.

Thank you Willow and Valentine for the Arc. My opinions are my own.

This is a beautifully emotional second-chance romance full of love, longing, heartache, and all of the intensity that I love about soulmates reuniting. I loved this story.

This is the fourth book in the Windy Harbor series, and while there is a lot of character crossover, and great family connections, this can easily be read as a standalone.

Tully and Lola met in college and fell in deep, life-changing love. It ended suddenly and in heartbreak, and they haven’t seen each other in five years. Now, Tully is a professional hockey player who has returned to his home town and the resort that his family is building, and who should be staying there – Lola and her boyfriend, Tully’s biggest rival on the ice.

“Does he know you still look at me like this?” he asks.
My breath hitches. “Like what?”
“Like you haven’t forgotten anything.” His voice drops. “Like you miss me.”

From the moment these two see each other again, sparks fly. It’s clear that there is still so much emotion between them, though the timing is all wrong for them to act on it or even address their past. But there’s no denying their connection is still very much alive. So when they are reunited a second time shortly after, and Lola is single, there's no holding them back. Their passion for each other is as wild as it always was, but the issues which separated them in the past are still very much there.

Lola has deeply buried secrets, leaving them with understandable trust issues to overcome, and there is a lot of heartbreak to work through and forgive. I was frustrated at everything still standing in their way, but as they continue to see each other, they can’t hold back from each other for too long, and the whole painful story comes out. I finally understood it all and I was devastated for both of them at the pain they experienced and the heartache of all that they lost.

“I’ve always loved you. I’ll never stop.”

This is such a beautiful love story. Tully and Lola are soulmates who so clearly belong together, and I felt every emotion right alongside them. You know they’re going to be together, it’s just a matter of them working through everything and finding their way forward. Their strength in talking about their feelings and everything that happened in the past, confronting the barriers between them and openly and enthusiastically embracing the future they always wanted together is so beautiful to see.

“You look happy,” I say.
Her hands find my hair again. I fucking love it when she plays with my hair.
“I’m so happy, Tully.”
“I am too ... I’ve got my girl back.”

Tully and Lola are so gorgeous together, and I couldn’t get enough of the angst, heartache, lighter moments, sweet romance, steamy encounters, and swoony declarations, and I was so wonderfully swept up in their story. There is lots of time spent with Tully’s family, so we get to catch up with characters from previous books and see progression in their stories. And I loved watching Lola become a part of the extended crew.

This is a sweet and easy read that brings the emotion, and it’s such a beautiful romance. I loved this book.

4.5 stars.

OPERATION LOLA

Tully "Captain" Whitman and Lola "Trouble" Donavan are so stinking adorable. I love their chemistry and how they open up about the past. Of course, their reconnection may have been intentional, but I like that the results don't pan out like the planner has hoped.

“She’s the only person I thought maybe I could see a forever with,” I finally admit.
-- Tully Whitman

The families on both sides are great. Sure, one side may require a bit more patience and understanding, but the love is perfect even if they aren't. I love a found family story, and they each have a bit of that, but I equally love a family that's there through all life's ups and downs. Their banter, support, and affection shine through. 🩷🩷🩷

The flashbacks to college were mostly good, but a couple of times, I lost track of which timeline they were on. Still, I like seeing them grow and understand the situations a bit better.

I love the wrap-up in the epilogue. Yes, I'm sure there's more to come for some of it, but it left off at such a good place. I look forward to what comes next!

I listened to the audio book. The narrators, Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost, are great in duet. I love the playfulness as well as seriousness that they bring to this couple and their loved ones. 🎧🧡🎧

The deeper I get into the Windy Harbor series, the harder it is to leave.
Endless Summer Nights is book four in this interconnected romance series, and I love how every new story makes the world feel a little more familiar.

Lola and Tully’s second chance romance pulled me in with their complicated history, dual timelines, and all the emotional baggage that comes with finding your way back to someone you never really stopped loving.

One of my favorite parts of being this far into a series is getting those little glimpses of the couples who came before. Seeing them settled into their happily ever afters gave me so many “aww” moments, and the sibling banter continues to be one of my favorite parts of Windy Harbor.

The audiobook was another win, with Megan Wicks and Gideon Frost bringing so much warmth and chemistry to Lola and Tully’s story.

If you love small town romance, second chances, family dynamics, and interconnected series that feel like coming home, add Windy Harbor to your TBR!

If Willow Aster writes it, you can bet I'm going to read it and absolutely devour it. She has a gift for writing emotional, heartfelt small town romances that will find a home in your heart.

Tully is an NHL hockey player who has never truly moved on from the love of his life. Five years after losing the future he thought he'd have, he's still carrying that heartbreak with him. Lola, a successful tattoo artist living her dream in New York, never expected to find herself back in Tully's hometown. But when fate brings them together again, old feelings quickly resurface, and everything changes.

Endless Summer Nights is filled with heartbreak, healing, second chances, and a twist I never saw coming. The connection between Tully and Lola never faded, it only grew stronger with time. Their chemistry goes far beyond physical attraction, it's built on years of love, history, and a bond that's impossible to forget.

I absolutely adored Tully. He is the definition of a green flag. He's loyal, patient, and unwavering when it comes to the woman he loves. Once he decides he wants a future with Lola, he'll do whatever it takes to fight for it. Lola is carrying secrets she's terrified to reveal, knowing the truth could shatter them both. Watching her wrestle with that fear while Tully continued to love her so fiercely was incredibly emotional.

And can we talk about Tully's family? They completely stole my heart. From the moment they met Lola, they welcomed her with open arms and never once made her feel like she didn't belong. Their unconditional love and support added such a beautiful found family element to the story.

Watching Tully and Lola slowly heal, forgive, and find their way back to one another was everything I hoped it would be. Willow Aster once again delivered a beautiful, emotional romance that left my heart completely full.

♥️Endless Summer Nights by Willow Aster
🏒Windy Harbor Series: Book 4
✨Lola + Tully

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thank you Willow Aster for the ARC of Endless Summer Nights. We absolutely love the Windy Harbor Series and these amazing characters. This one is a second chance, hockey player, small town vibes, with a welcoming family. Lola and Tully were college sweethearts until she disappeared for 5 years. She then shows up at his family’s resort…with a boyfriend…who happens to be Tully’s enemy on the ice. All the feelings are still there and with a little bit of fate they keep running into each. This was a really well done second chance romance, it was emotional but still funny and heartwarming. Lola and Tully were just two people who were always meant to be together. Although it can be read as a standalone we suggest reading the entire series because not only are they all amazing (duh) but there is also an interconnected story here that has us hooked! We can’t wait for the next book to come out 🤭

Second Chance never fails to put me in my feels. Lola and Tully met in college and sparks flew. Soon they are head over heels in love, but one day Lola just disappears. 5 years later the universe has them crossing paths…multiple times. He never got over Lola. Those feelings that he has tried to burry are back in the forefront.

Willow masterfully weaves the past and present story lines so that you get a full picture of everything that happened, every emotion that was felt, and how they find their way back to each other. I felt their connection so deeply that I keep tearing up. It was a heartbreaking story but with so much love and happiness to put us back together. Plus you can’t help but smile when Tully is around. I love this man!

Endless Summer Nights was such a good summer read, honestly perfect timing to pick this one up. Second chance romances hit different when there's real history behind them, and Lola and the hero (running his family's resort, hockey rival drama and all) had that instant tension the second she showed up with her boyfriend, who just so happens to be his rival. Talk about a gut punch.

I loved how it doesn't drag out the "will they won't they" forever, once fate throws them back together the spark is immediate and it felt so satisfying watching them stop overthinking and just give in to it. The chemistry is definitely there, this one delivers on the steamy front for sure.

What made it more than just a fling though was the emotional stuff underneath, the hero's still carrying around the hurt from her walking away all those years ago, and that vulnerability made him so much more than just the broody hockey guy. You could feel him going back and forth between wanting her and being terrified she'll do it again.

Only reason it's not a full 5 is I wanted a little more closure/explanation on why she left in the first place, felt like that got glossed over a bit for how much weight it carries. But overall such a fun, sexy, summery read with just enough heartbreak mixed in to keep it interesting. Perfect beach read if you're into small town second chance romance.

Endless Summer Nights is a second chance romance full of yearning, drama, and twists I didn’t see coming 👀 Tully was a rising talent in the hockey ranks and was on the fast track to the NHL after college. He was fully focused on hockey until he locked eyes with a beautiful blonde at a party, and after a dance he was absolutely smitten. Lola is an artist who dreams of having her own tattoo shop one day and wasn’t looking for a relationship, but she couldn’t resist sweet adoring Tully. Their chemistry was off the charts and they knew they were endgame, until drama unfolded and Lola had to walk away from Tully. Years later a chance encounter brings up all those unresolved feelings, and Tully and Lola seem to be in the perfect place to be together. Tully is finally ready to get answers as to why Lola left, but Lola still keeps pushing him away. Now he’s left wondering if Lola ever really loved him, or was their relationship completely one sided?

The drama and yearning in this book was exhausting! Tully was the sweetest cinnamon roll and he never stopped loving Lola. She was it for him! And I was so mad because Lola kept pushing back! I didn’t know what this author was trying to do with their story, but after the twist everything finally made sense thank God! Getting their HEA was a battle, and they finally won it ❤️

The audiobook was duet narrated by Gideon Frost and Megan Wicks and both did amazing with their characters 😍 The ending was so sweet and the HEA was well deserved. I definitely recommend checking this book out ❤️

Unrequited love, a second chance, some blackmail, and an undying love all weave together to bring this novel to life! Endless Summer Nights is the fourth installment in the Windy Harbor Series by Willow Aster, and it is a beautiful expansion of this book in her universe. Each novel in this series are easy entry points into Aster’s world and they will make you want to continue learning more about this family. Aster’s writing is clear, her style is conversational and easy to engage with, and her characters utterly sparkle!

Lola and Tully have been in love with the other since they first met, it was kismet in the way they find and fall for each other. But life is not always sunshine and roses and before Tully goes pro as a Hockey Star, Lola chose to break up with him. This novel explores where they are in their life and feelings when they see each other again, five years after they separated. Aster explores what it means to still love someone and not really harbor any anger. It is clear Tully and Lola respect the other and no one plays the blame game, which I really enjoyed. In every moment they are in each other’s company the chemistry crackles and it is clear to everyone around them they are made for each other. The love story these two share softly unfolds as we get glimpses into the past as current moments align with milestones of their foundation. I love that these two support each other, only w at the best for the other, and it is clear that either will do anything for the other to succeed.

Willow Aster’s Windy Harbor series is such a wonderful example of Aster in her element. With a strong family at its center, each book just expands and builds upon their relationships. Aster is an author I will also pick up, confident that I am going to fall hard for the romance waiting for me within the pages!

Okay… WOW. I went into this book excited and somehow it still managed to completely surprise me. 😭

Lola and Tully’s story is everything I love about second chance romance. The longing, the history, the “it’s always been you” feeling… I was absolutely invested. The dual timeline added so much depth because every piece of their past changed how I saw their present, and I loved watching everything slowly come together.

Tully absolutely stole my heart. 🥹 His quiet devotion, patience, and the way he loved Lola through everything had me completely gone. But Lola? My heart hurt for her. Watching her heal, forgive, and finally let herself believe in love again was such a beautiful journey.

And the twists?? I was NOT prepared. I had theories, Willow proved me wrong, and I loved every second of it. I was sitting there like 👀 trying to figure everything out and failing miserably.

The Windy Harbor family is still one of my favorite parts of this series. The banter, the chaos, the unconditional love… it feels like coming home. 🤍

This book gave me all the emotions — the heartbreak, the butterflies, the suspense, and the kind of romance that stays with you after you finish.

I’m not ready for this series to end, but I am VERY ready for Noah’s book. 😭✨

This is the fourth book in this amazing series, and this is Lola and Tully’s story.
Lola is a tattoo artist, and Tully is an NHL captain, and they were college sweethearts until she broke his heart. Now 5-years later fate destines Lola and Tully to cross paths again when she arrives at his family’s resort with her boyfriend, his hockey rival. The sparks fly between Lola and Tully, but can they get their second chance?
This is a well written easy to read, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, tension, angst, heartbreak, challenges, trust, second chances, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and unpredictable, small town hockey romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Endless Summer Nights is the fourth book in Willow Aster’s Windy Harbor series and follows hockey player Tully and his first love Lola as they navigate their way back to the trust they once shared.

This second chance love story between Tully and Lola is tough on your heartstrings once you learn what drove them apart and kept them apart for years. It took a lot of hard and honest conversations for them to understand everything that happened and to move forward together this time.

Tully’s family is everything and they were adamant about helping Tully and Lola and securing their future together. The love never went away for either of them and that helped them get back to the place they needed to be and to the future they dreamed about when they were younger.

There’s only one sibling left to get their happily ever and it’s oldest and single dad Noah. I can’t wait to see the grumpy single dad and his adorable son fall in love.

This was a fantastic second chance romance with Tully and Lola. After her walking away five years ago, Tully thinks he’s finally past the woman he’d hoped to spend the rest of his life with. But then one day, there she is, as beautiful as ever, and with her boyfriend. But all those feelings he thought he’d buried, came right back up again when she looked at him. He was done for. But she was taken. Fast forward a bit, and she’s single, and Tully is ready to see if they can fix things. Spending time together was so sweet. I loved their moments. And that spice was pretty steamy. I loved seeing them reconnect, to work through the past and build a future. This was an excellent story and I really enjoyed reading it.

It’s the fourth book in the Windy Harbor series but can be read as a standalone. The chemistry between Tully and Lola is undeniable and was a love worth fighting for. Endless Summer Nights

What a wonderful story about two young people who fall in love in college, but as life does choices\ influences get in the way. Years later, they are back in the same city, feelings have never left, but hurt is still there. Can there ever be anything more between them? What happens when the truth comes out? She fears for her family, herself and what the person will do that has been threatening her for years. This is a tragedy for all the time that they have lost and how cruel people are for vendetta and money.

I am completely undone by Tully and Lola's story. Willow Aster weaves a breathtakingly beautiful, emotional, and deeply moving tale that kept me turning pages late into the night. The story follows Tully Whitman and Lola Donavan, two people whose lives are beautifully and painfully intertwined. Seeing their journey unfold felt so natural and raw; their chemistry is undeniable, and the emotional depth of their connection practically leaps off the page. It is tender, poetic, and utterly unforgettable. If you love deeply emotional, gripping romances, this book is for you!

What to Expect:
Small Town
Sports (Hockey)
Second Chance
Found Family
The One That Got Away
Suspense Vibes

Since the last chapter of All for Love (book 3 in the Windy Harbor series), I needed Tully's story. As the story begins, Tully sees his college ex-girlfriend and the one that got away at his family's resort, with his rival. Cue all the emotional baggage that comes with seeing your first love after 5 years and no answers to why things ended.

Second Chance romances can be hard to tell, but the fantastic way Willow told Tully and Lola's second chance as we get glimpses of their history had me on the edge of my seat. I did not want to put this book down because I believed so deeply in Tully and Lola's second chance. In fact, I needed them to have a second chance, and I finished this book in 24 hours.

This story was not only emotionally charged, but had several roller coaster moments. As the reveals came, I loved seeing how Tully and Lola dealt with the new realities they faced, the new truths they discovered and how they worked to heal together to move forward.

Thank you so much to Willow Aster and VPR for the early copy of Endless Summer Nights!

Endless Summer Nights

Huge thanks to Willow Aster and Must Love Audio for the gifted ALC.

Alexa, play This Love by Taylor Swift.

A gorgeous summer setting and a second chance meeting that screams UNFINISHED BUSINESS, I really enjoyed this one! I loved the way this one slowly built and the flashbacks that told me there was more to Lola leaving. There were a few twists I did not see coming that made it impossible to put down.

Gideon Frost and Megan Wicks were the perfect pair for Tully and Lola. Their voices were so smooth and easy to listen to. They delivered the emotions of this story perfectly.

Thank you to Valentine PR and Willow Aster for sending me the ALC of Endless Summer Nights, book four in the Windy Harbor series! Is it sad that I do not want this series to be over yet? I love the Whitman family so much, and it's been such a pleasure getting to know all of them.

Tully Whitman has it all: a career he has dreamed of, a family who loves him, but he hasn't found the love of his life. Well, he has, but she shattered his heart over four years ago. As he walks through Windhaven, the one person whom he ever thought he would see again is there… with another man. Lola Donovan did not expect to see her ex-boyfriend ever again now that she has worked so hard to rebuild her life, but she has never stopped loving him. They are now back in each other’s lives, so they have to deal with their past before moving forward.

You all know how much I love a forced-proximity trope, and the fact that Tully and Lola kept getting thrown together throughout the entire book had me eating this story up! This book also had me on an emotional roller coaster, and I highly recommend you start this series as soon as possible.

I am excited to see Noah’s happily ever after, but at the same time, I am very sad to say goodbye to the Whitman Family.
