This picture book does not contain any words. It shows two mice nibbling through a book, in order to find every letter in the alphabet. They start of by organizing the letters by vowels and consonants. Then, the animals sort them in alphabetical order, matching the capital letter with the lower case letter. I think the book provides a unique way to teach children their alphabet. It allows for a lot of interpretation and class discussion. I think this picture book gives the teachers freedom to create their own text as they go, which allows for creativity within the classroom.

An adorable little mouse eats the alphabet - lower and upper case- out of a book. A friend helps him put them in the proper order. Then after all that hard work they curl up and take a nap together in the little nest they have made. Wonderful illustrations and a creative use of white space on the pages.

Two little mice eat out each letter of the alphabet in caps and lower case. They eventually pair the letters together and put them in order. Cute.
