In all of. Holy. Terra. I still don't think I'm in the right mindset to be writing this review. I finished this two days ago and I am still mad at E.J. for that ending. Why do you torture us so?!
I read this fantastic book in one sitting since I have been waiting months to dive back into this world and couldn't wait any longer. It picked off right where the first book, The Dreamer, left off and I was a mess t

This was everything I could want from the sequel to the Dreamer, a book I *loved*! I had so many expectations and almost a checklist of things I wanted to see happen in book two and I was not disappointed! I loved watching Molly come in to her own in her new role as the Dreamer. She quickly becomes a BAD ASS! Yay! Check that off the list!
And what about the boy back home, Jared? Well read this book and you'll see what happens. I was quite satisfied with how that situation got resolved.

The author was very kind and sent me a copy of her novel in exchange for an honest review.

I never thought that I could fall in love with these characters and world more than I already was and oh, boy did E.J. Mellow prove me wrong! I can’t get this amazing book out of my head I just keep wanting to pick it up and reread it and go through all those amazing scenes and feelings all over again. Molly finally uncovered the secret of her

The only reason this isn't a 5 star is that I wish we could have seen more of Terra. Otherwise, this was wonderful and magical. That ending shredded my heart, and my face is tear-streaked. I absolutely love this world. I can't wait for book 3!

5*

The Divide has been on my list of most anticipated sequels for 2015. When it finally arrived in my mailbox I was ecstatic and slightly nervous. As the sequel to a smashing debut novel I was truly hoping it would live up to the awesomeness of the first book and that there would be a good chunk more of Devlin (though really the story was a reason enough of course hah!)...

Okay, I am having some serious issues forming complete thoughts at this moment. That was....awesome! The Divide was everything that I hoped for in a sequel. It was one of those reads where you want to devour it all at once, and simultaneously savor it slowly so you spend as much time as possible immersed in this dreamy world. I absolutely loved the fact that we got to spend so much of this book in Terra!! I was so intrigued by this wondrous dreamland in The Dreamer, but I really fell in love wi

I need the third book, The Destined, as soon as possible!! Holy freaking crap, that ending! *nervously bites nails* E.J. why must you torture us like this?!

The Divide was everything I had hoped for in a sequel and more! The plot was beautifully written, the characters are freaking amazing and badass; I think it’s safe to say that I love them all and that they will always have a special place in my heart. *cough*expect for that one specific character towards the end*cough*. I'm slightly laughing at myself for commenting on the cliffhanger for the previous book, The Dreamer. It did leave me with the feeling of dying to know more, but I was at least optimistic for the future of the characters, especially with Molly and Dev. The ending to The Divide, however... it was a shot right in the heart. (And I LOVE it)

As happy as I am to see the love triangle get resolved, it did feel a little rushed. The switch from crying over one relationship to ripping clothes off in anot

Oh God, please give me strength to finish this review...

I honestly do not know how E.J. does it, but every book of hers ends up messing with my heart. After reading ''The Dreamer'' and getting proof of her amazing writing skills, I knew ''The Divide'' was going to be just as awesome as the first book. Guess what? I was wrong! Because this book was absolutely gut-wrenching and full of emotions, love and hope! Thank you, E.J, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving

Ok, I’m going to try to get through this review using my words. This isn’t an indication of the book being bad. FAR from it. I actually like this book BETTER than the first, and THAT is a rare thing. Most times second books are a slump between the first and third. This one though? Oh no…this one, takes all that awesome from the first, minus all the stuff I wasn’t keen on in the first, and smashes

Fun time is just getting started...

I really really need to get my fair share of sitting in the Dreamer Memory Chair. All that combat skills seem to be too badass to miss a once-in-a-lifetime-kicking-butts possibility. Let alone the elongated workout-hours with Dev.

OMG. Those eyes...<3

We all must wake up from dreams.
― E.J. Mellow, The Divide

I remember loving the first book of this series, so much. It startled me how much I liked it because, let's face it, there are a lot of books that may be similar to this but this series, it has that oomph factor that I'm always looking for.

I first read this book, last year on June and I got to admit, I forgot a lot of key things about this book. It is, to say, annoying that I forgot that quickly. But as quickly as I forgot some of the thin

This book was a fantastic sequel. Like, unbelievably good. Worth every star. It had an incredibly heartbreaking ending, but I’m confident things will wrap up in the next book. It was just hard to deal with in the moment. It was one of those Murphy’s Law moments—you knew what the worst thing that could happen was, and you knew it was going to happen. Well, I did, anyway. I’ve noticed a pattern. If there’s a confrontation at the very end of a book, and it’s not the last in the series, it’s probabl ...more

This book is fantastic. Why? Because of the following:

Descriptions: Amazing. Everything was described to the dot, so clear a picture that it felt like more than a reality you can picture in your head; it felt like a movie. And it wasn’t the everything-was-described-to-waste-space-until-something-interesting-happens kind of descriptions, because whenever something was explained

As much as I love contemporary romance, there are times I find myself tired of the same old flavor. Now, there’s only a number of fantasy authors I follow, so I was especially happy when I discovered E.J. Mellow. Her debut novel The Dreamer‘s still one of my unexpected favorite reads of the year, and after my character + author interview with her, I was all the more excited

Great continuation of the series. This isn't a case of middle-book syndrome at all; so much happens to further the plot and a few little extras are thrown in for somewhat of an embellishment. It's nice to see the romance developing and by the end -- oooooh, the plot thickens! I'm not dying to get to the third book as much as I'd like, which tells me that I'm not as invested in these characters as I'd like. But it's still a great, underrated series. I'd recommend it.

I do wish it was on audio!

Mrs. Mellow has done it again! The Divide is a wonderful addition to her already incredible The Dreamland Series. There was a lot more turmoil in this book which, let's face it, is exactly what we are all hoping to find in a great novel. You can definitely find it here as Molly is thrust deeper into the dangerous task of accepting her birthright. Fighting a war against putrid, disgusting globs of pure evil turns out to be no easy task!
