Shannon Wynter has many things on her mind. Romance is not one of them.

Abandoned by her mother at eleven and strapped with an agoraphobic father, Shannon’s focus doesn’t travel much farther than her career as a journalist despite the sometimes maniacal efforts of her two best friends from her days at an all-girls boarding school.

I loved Ian's sense of humor. When Clarke, Shannon's dad, thought the neighbors were swingers he went over to investigate. Jessie didn't share the conversation between Ian and the "swingers", but he did learn Clarke was correct. Oh to be a fly on the wall...... Too bad Jessie didn't include it in the story. I think it would've been one helluva scene.

BTW: Ian kept his good natured antics going throughout the story. Twister anyone? *grinning*

Wonderful read. Jessie Clever has a way of creating characters that you fall in love with. Once you start reading, you won't want to stop. I could feel the energy of the authors writing jumping off the pages the entire time. Smart, witty, clever, romantic, sexy, vulnerable, heart felt...simply fantastic. A good read indeed. Looking forward to the release of the next book in this series.

Jessie decided to be a writer because the job of Indiana Jones was already filled.

Taking her history degree dangerously, Jessie tells the stories of courageous heroines, the men who dared to love them, and the world that tried to defeat them.

Jessie makes her home in the great state of New Hampshire where she lives with her husband and two very opinionated Basset hounds.
