I love step brother stories. I love the chemistry that happens between the characters, how they deal with having married parents. However, I found that chemistry to be lacking in this book.

The book starts out with the heroine being extremely angry with the hero and I just couldn't figure out why she hated him so much. Maybe if there had been more lead up to her anger, I would have understood, but there was nothing. The other thing I found curious was that, while I get living in/growing up in a small town means people know your business, I was a little surprised that everyone seemed to know and gossip about everyone’s sex life. Sierra knew an awful lot of details about Bentley’s sex life and I get girls talking and gossiping but I was shocked that Bentley knew about Sierra’s one and only boyfriend/partner from college.

Once Sierra and Bentley were actually stranded, it just fell clichéd how they fell into bed. I never felt any real chemistry between them or connection of any kind. And when they suddenly realize their feelings go deeper than physically hooking up, I found it cheesy and unbelievable. There just wasn’t enough story, background, history or interaction prior to them being stranded for me to believe that they genuinely had feelings for each other. In a way, this almost felt like the center of a story that was missing the beginning/set up.

Overall, this is not my favorite but the other book. However if you're looking for a hot quick read you might like this

The step-brother theme is one that I'm admittedly a newbie to. I've read a few, but not enough to be able to tell you honestly what makes one better or different than another, aside from just knowing when a book is awesome or one that just isn't for me.

With that said, this book was a decent, steamy read. It's a book that I would describe as an 'in-betweener'. Good to pass the time between longer more in depth books. There wasn't a deep story line, but I was ok with that. Sometimes you just want a steamy fluffy read.

As for the characters, I didn't connect with them. I found Sierra to be kind of a nagging bitch. She was jumping on Bentley's case from the moment to book started and I wasn't sure why. What business is it of hers if he wants to be a manwhore?! And bravo to him for buying an extra large box of condoms. Protection is good! It just irked me that she was so angry with him for no apparent reason.

The other thing I found lacking was the chemistry between them. It;s like, they hated each other and argued for a good portion of the book, then all of a sudden after the have sex, they love each other. I get the whole hiding behind one emotion to cover up true feelings, but this didn't jive. I dunno, maybe I just missed something.

Overall it was an ok read for me.

Taboo romances have become an obsession for me, particularly stepbrother-themed ones, which is what drew me to this tale of soon-to-be stepsiblings who hide their mutual attraction behind snark and anger. Getting trapped in close quarters though has them seeing a different side to the other allowing them to give into feelings long kept at bay.

This story is one of insta-love and is a carefree read that brings a bit of afternoon delight to readers. It's not groundbreaking but it is fun and flirty with a hero who's a bit of a player and a bit rough around the edges as he makes no excuses for his playboy ways. Bentley's sexy with a bit of naughty in his nature who quickly embraces his protective side when he and Sierra are in danger. It was an appealing change that had me rooting for him to finally grow up. He's always seen Sierra as too perfect, and too judgmental, but their differences led to lots of sexual tension with biting banter that made their sexual interludes even more scorching.

Sierra has always seen Bentley in a negative light for his playboy ways, but she's equally fascinated by him and the intense sexuality he exudes. From the moment the story started, with their battle of the sexes underway, there was a sense of change on the horizon. Their interactions were tense and teeming with sensuality just waiting to explode which had me on the edge of my seat. Sierra may think she's different from Bentley when it comes to sex but seeing them together showed a couple who were equal in their intensity with her embracing her naughty side easily. She may seem cold early on, but being around Bentley brings out her sexy side to add a bit of fun to their sensual interludes.

From start to finish this was a fun read with a nice flow. The character's feelings though weren't dealt with in any depth which kept me from fully immersing myself in their relationship. The situation they end up in leading to their newfound connection was a bit melodramatic which made their proclamations of love a bit unbelievable. Ultimately though, those looking for a book to take them away from the stresses of the day will find this a sexy romp with super steamy encounters and a tarnished hero whose charm is infectious.

Short and to the point, STRANDED WITH MY STEPBROTHER is read like a bang. The prologue gives you the exact idea as to what to expect from the story if you already hadn’t guessed. Really, if anyone asked me to describe this story in one word, it’d be bang. And not just because of what it’s telling-because yeah, it’s two people banging- but also because you’re given no time to process anything, this being a novella, but are simply expected to go with the flow. That would be fine, except, the author tried to make it more than it was, and that’s where the story failed for me.

I’m no fan of novellas of romance, because you never have enough time to develop something I can buy into. So I try to avoid them as much as possible. But when we’re talking about erotica, I can usually go there, enjoy my fun, sexy read, and leave it at that and that’s its own reading pleasure. So when reading an erotic novella of 80 something pages, I don’t expect much in terms of emotional growth. And I think the author made a mistake of trying to tell too much in too little pages. The idea of two people about to be related by marriage and sharing explosive chemistry is definitely a kink I like to read about. But to put them quickly in a tiny environment and have them stranded there for a couple of days, I don’t expect any romantic entanglements. All I expect is exactly what the title promises, stranded with my stepbrother and doing all kinds of naughty things until our time is up. If the author took the story further and perhaps made this into a full length novel, than I think Bentley and Sierra’s story would’ve been more romantic and their deepening feelings more convincing. As it was though, I couldn’t decide whether to enjoy the sex, or to wrap my head around the rushed romance, and that has reduced my enjoyment a big deal.

As a side note, the ever changing conjugation made this short story a bit harder to read. A character would start speaking in present tense, and suddenly, mid sentence, things would be happening in the past. I couldn’t understand what was going on in that regard, and that made this experience less fun for me.

If you like it real quick and don’t mind the rushed romance along with it, then you’d enjoy this. For all the telling faults, it was still an easy read.

Judging a Book by it's Cover:
Pair of mostly naked bodies covered in something... sweat, oil? Kudos for not shaving or photoshopping his hairy legs smooth. Synopsis sounds like a taboo RomCom more than anything. Something light and fun.
Looking Deeper:
Alternating, first person POV - Clearly defined.
I had to go back to verify that I did not receive an old ARC version of this book, with the large amount of typos present, but I found no evidence of this being an ARC. Ms. Collins needs better BETA readers and/or proof-readers. As with many short novellas, there is a lack of character and plot depth. Bentley and Sierra are well-enough written, but not very developed. There are no secondary characters other than the parents mentioned in passing, but no real interaction. The chemistry is developed under forced, but not hostile, conditions. Dialogue is good, interaction is alright. The plot was simplistic in nature and lacked dimension, however the circumstances lend just enough dynamics to keep it rolling at a good pace. Conflicts, other than the main one causing the overall situation, were fairly non-existent. No predictability. The way it ended was not a true, solid conclusion. If anything, I'd consider this "novella" to be the prelude to a full-length novel. I had an issue with the fact that he did not use the OTHER contents in his duffle bag, the ones that were made such a big deal of. And I have a hard time comprehending how their parents kept the date as-is under the circumstances. Surely they were not the only attendees to fall victim to the situation. Overall, it was okay, but nothing to rave over. The concept was solid, but it really needed a solid epilogue and a little more beef and bulk in the filling.

~ 3.5 Stars ~

I want to start by apologizing if my review ends up being on the short side. This book was a very quick, short and sexy read. I was able to read this in about an hours time.

With that said I enjoyed this short story. Do you ever get in the mood to just read a mindless, sexy and drama free read?? Well Stranded with My Stepbrother is just that kind of book. This had no drama and it was quite steamy. I do wish that we would've gotten a little bit more with this story. I felt a little bit more background on the characters would've help the connection better between them.

This was my first Madison Collins book and it is safe to say I will read other books in the future by this author. I liked that she wrote this book in Dual POV. It was nice knowing what both characters felt. I do feel that this story was rushed a little bit. It made some parts of it feel unrealistic. I mean we went from two characters who basically hate each other (with no real explanation for the anger towards one another ) to falling into bed together and then professing their love for one another. I just don't see things going like that in real life. Now I know this book is fiction and that is why I still really enjoyed it even with my above comments.

So if you are interested in a book with no drama, but some really hot sexy times and also has a taboo subject attached to it, then look no further and give this little book a try. It is worth the read if you have an hour or so that you need to pass the time.

Received a copy of the title in exchange for an honest review.

On the page of 'taboo romance', I feel that Madison Collins did a good job with this story. I have found that there are two ways to go about these stepbrother romances -- heck, honestly any romance: either gritty, dark, and super steamy; or real, relatable, and some heat between the sheets -- but still hot.

That said, you either have the stepbrother romance where it seems like the sibling-ship is merely a word between the two, but then you could also have the completely taboo read -- and when I think 'taboo read', I put it in the same mindset as, say... fantasy porn. Like an erotic romance with one woman lining up three men and measuring their man-parts (I could search for this book, but it was read sometime earlier this year).

So -- taboo-wise? Spot on. We have a seemingly naive lead in Sierra, but bring on the dirty talking (almost) stepbrother in a secluded cabin, and her inner vixen eventually comes out. When Bentley and Sierra get past the annoyance, going into the hot and sexy times (and yeah, maybe still a little annoyed with one another), we slowly start to see a different side to Bentley -- and the romance reader in me really loved the end-of-the-book Bentley as opposed to the beginning-of-the-book Bentley.

The timeline of the book was relatively short (okay, it was just short), so the belief that there will be any sort of longevity to the relationship (something I definitely think about when reading romance) is a bit in limbo... Being the reader I am, though, I'd still like to revisit these two later down the road to see where they're at, just because that's how I roll.

Stranded With My Stepbrother by Madison Collins

I like a good steamy stepbrother romance and this one did not disappoint. The characters were super opposite but similar in a way. Bentley is a man-whore through and through. Sierra is the goody two shoes. I loved how this all started in a car. Bentley doesn’t apologize for who he is and I loved it. Sierra mad me mad a couple of times with her comments about him. But then when I realized it was how she tried to hide her true feelings, I warmed up to her. When Sierra calls him out on the condoms in his luggage and he brushes her off with a witty comment had me rolling in laughter. Then Bentley ends up showing her his softer nicer side and she melt. I liked how the characters come together. I Liked how they go through every step of a relationship in one night. The steamy scenes were good, I kept on looking around to make sure nobody noticed me blushing. They are very funny too. Specially when Sierra and Bentley start to playing and she does this dance/run around celebration. I didn’t like how I felt like there was something missing. Maybe we needed more back story on. Maybe we needed to see more on how they did during family social events. If their parents noticed anything. We just got a small glimpse of that. I felt like they were more enemies coming together than a step sibling romance. I would of like it if it was longer as well. I do hope there is a part two to this because the ending left you wanting more.I want to know what happens when they have to face their parents. But over all it was a good quick read.

Ho boy, this was a tasty little treat. But being stranded is one of my favorite tropes. You show me any novel where the main couple is forced together, especially in a cabin during a snowstorm, and I will read it. The stepsibling part could have been off-putting, but the couple did not grow up as siblings (and technically aren’t even siblings at the beginning of the story) so it wasn’t weird, creepy, or incestuous.

This is a story written in first person, but switches between Bentley and Sierra. They each have a clear, distinct voice. What I truly enjoyed, however, was that their first time was through his eyes. I love being able to read sex scene from a male point of view (without the male POV, if you get my meaning, because males tend to write more pornographic than erotic sex scenes.)

After seeing the page count for this novella, I was blown away. I had read the novella so quickly it felt like it was only 40 pages, not 90! But that is how much I enjoyed it. What really won me over was how respectful Bentley was. For all the talk of him being a manwhore, he was very respectful towards her. He asked her permission both before touching her breast and then again when he wanted to take off her panties. And he wasn’t saying it to be sexy or dirty. He genuinely wanted her permission. That struck a cord with me (regardless of the fact that I enjoy reading rough sex scenes….)

"He was unreasonable and blunt and sexy as hell. It drove me batty to admit it, but there it was. Bentley was a man-whore and a pain in the ass, but man was he hot."

Ok, so I wish this was longer!!!!

I really liked Bentley and Sierra! I love how they "hate" each other, but secretly are head over heels for the other. The 'ol love/hate relationship that we all love to read.

Yes, it's taboo for step siblings to get together, but it's also exciting to read. You get to see the struggle with both of them to try and contain their feelings, but being secluded in a cabin in the middle of a blizzard changes things.

"You can fight me all you want, but there's one thing you need to understand. I'm going to protect you. Im going to take care of you."

This short story gave you an entire range of feelings while reading. You laughed at their jabs to each other, you secretly wished they would just go for what they wanted, and you cheered (and fanned yourself) when they finally came together.

It was a hot, little read and I really enjoyed it!! Can't wait to read more from this author!!

"What the hell were you thinking, Sierra?"
"I was so worried. I thought I had lost you. It made me realize that my feelings for you run deeper than just a great physical connection. I want you. I need you."
"I need you too."

After getting stranded together during a snowstorm, Bentley and Sierra, realize that they may have more than a brotherly/sisterly love for each other. As much as Sierra can’t stand Bentley’s cocky attitude she can’t deny the attraction she feels for him. So, this book was overall okay, but again it was predictable in certain places, which made it frustrating to read.

Those of you who devour stepbrother romances will most likely do the same with Stranded with My Stepbrother. It's got a classic setup (if a bit contrived) to get Sierra and Bentley alone together, stretching their circumstances to allow for what fans of the genre are waiting for...the hookup.

Bentley is your typical alpha playboy/manwhore type, but also exudes a protective vibe towards Sierra, and I thought he perfectly fit the stepbrother romance mold. I found Sierra to be a bit on the immature side, and felt more like she was in it for the physical aspect and nothing more. Together, Bentley came across as the more realistic and committed of the pair and I preferred his character much more than Sierra's.

The story goes by pretty quickly, and I'd really prefer to have found out more about where their relationship was headed than to have had the story end where it did, but overall this was a fast read that entertained me for a while and satisfied the itch to read something in the stepbrother romance genre. This does fall squarely into the 18+ category for adult language and sexual scenes, and fans of the genre should enjoy this quick look at Bentley and Sierra, though you may be left wanting more at the end. 3 stars for Stranded with My Stepbrother!

Sierra and Bentley really do not get along. They are making their way to their parent's wedding. Her mom is very excited to marry his dad.

Only one problem with this trip. They end up stranded in a snowstorm with only one another to keep warm. They actually end up working together and getting to know each other better.

Sierra had though of him as a dog, since his playboy ways seemed never ending. He has always been attracted to her and not acknowledged it. Now that he has, can he really act on it?

Adding to the stress is the fact they wanted to be at the wedding, and will miss it due to these unfortunate circumstances. They do need to keep warm, so....maybe it is okay just this once to act on their attraction?

Really quick and simple story about hidden feelings and simple forbidden love and lust. I found the banter charming and even though the end seemed a little rushed, I was pleased that this nice and fast read has a lot in it to entertain.

I love step brother romances yes, I know taboo and all but you know what I don't care lol. We meet Bentley and Sierra, both of their parents are getting married up in a mountain resort. They have to ride together days before. Bentley, is a man whore he only packs bottle's of booze and a pack of XL condemns. He is tempted by Sierra so much that he acts like a total asshole around her. i mean they are going to be step siblings in a couple of days. Sierra, thinks she hates her soon to be stepbrother Bentley, but in reality she wants him. While they are on their way it starts to snow so they stop by a gas station to by some chain to get more traction on the tires. They end up finding nothing and get snowed in. They end up in a small hotel with cabins. Bentley goes all caveman and is ready to take care and protect Sierra of anything until they get out of that cabin. After a drinking game with Jack Daniels truths are said and things get exciting. It was a nice short read.

See more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning.

My Thoughts:

Hot stepbrother? Check. Stranded in a snowstorm with said hot stepbrother? Double check. This combination could be lethal. And you know how much of a sucker I am for snowed-in stories. Sierra and Bentley have an obvious attraction, and when they're placed in this situation, it intensifies... very much so. They act on this attraction, but what will happen when they come out on the other side?

Stranded with my Stepbrother is a very hot story. It's not heavy on any drama, save for the fact that Sierra and Bentley are stepbrother and stepsister. It would have been nice if there was more, like maybe a teensy bit of conflict to make it a little bit longer. Otherwise it's a quick, lighthearted romp with quite the dose of steam from Madison Collins!

My Rating: Pretty Good

Whoa mama! What a hot little number. If you are looking for a long romance... move on. This book was short, quick, super fast, but still packed a serious punch. Sometimes you just need a little something to get your motor running and satisfy that thirst... this is that kind of book.

This book was good. Hot, sexy and intense, this book will push your boundaries. It will make you crave for more. If will get your heart beating a little stronger and your blood pumping a little faster. It will make you blush... so definitely be warned when reading this little taboo number.

Hot guy? Check. Stranded together? Check. Chemistry through the roof? Check. Panties wet? Check. Lusting hard? Check. Soon to be stepsiblings? Double check. Sierra and Bentley find themselves in quite a situation with a lot of XL condoms and liquor. Oh yeah, its about to be super complicated.

I recommend this book.

This was one quick read and I loved every minute of it. Knowing it was short, I planned to read it in one sitting and was able to do it with no problem. I was left with the feeling of wanting to know more, much more. I know it was designed as a novella, but the characters drew me in and I really wanted more.

This book deals with the days they are stuck together in a cabin during a snow storm, nothing more. But during that time, things really change between them. Sparks fly and a relationship starts.

Being too short would be my only complaint, but I knew that going in. I was surprised by how curious I am about what happens with Sierra and Bentley after this trip. That tells me the characters are pretty well developed, showing me the talent of the author. I look forward to reading more by Madison Collins.

This is the first book I've read that has dealt with the stepbrother. I was very curious and no I have never had a stepbrother. So there would be no awkwardness. This is a super short read. But I actually did enjoy it.

You have Bentley and Sierra who obviously get stranded with each other. On the way to their parents wedding. So at least it's pretty newish. There is a steaminess that neither of them can deny. So why not? Maybe what happens in the Cabin, stays in the Cabin. Kinda like Vegas!

Nope not like Vegas! Bentley actually is a good guy. I do wish this was a longer story, so I could really get to know them. But this is a quickie, so you don't get the chance....Lissa

This is a short, light story that can warm your thoughts for a little while. Especially if you imagine yourself stranded in a cabin during a snow blizzard just as the two characters in the plot.

From enemies to lovers, they end up sharing body heat in a very intimate way. This novella is fun and sweet with a touch of hotness. I liked the way Bentley took care of the situation and helped and protected Sierra all the time. As for the writing, it's casual and has alternating POVs. Sometimes, it switched from present to past tense which makes the reading a bit awkward.

All in all, it's fun and a nice story.

A very short, very hot read. But there was just not enough story for me to grab on to. I really would have loved to see this story go further. The chemistry is there between the two characters. When they come together, it is sizzling. I think the characters have great potential. Bentley is definitely the cocky, full of himself man. I loved the direction of the storyline, I just wish there had been more to it. I would have loved to see the characters spending more time really getting to know each other. For me it was just too much too fast.

I love me a taboo stepbrother romance. I loved how it was written in duel points of view.

This book was short, sweet and sexy. Bentley and Sierra are on the way to their parents wedding in the mountains when they become stranded because of a blizzard.

Bentley is a cocky, and arrogant man whore. Sierra has heard all the stories about Bentley after all they live in a small town it's hard not to hear.

What happens when you mix a blizzard, small cabin, alcohol and a sexual tension u could cut with a knife?

This book was a short, fun lunch time read. You don't get a ton of background in this but it was a short story so don't expect a lot of build up in those regards.

Sierra and Bentley are on their way to their parents wedding during a blizzard. Road conditions get dangerous so they camp out in a cabin and they are stuck there for 5 days. Bentley is his typical manwhore self and instead of packing clothes he brings alcohol and condoms. Cocky much?

What do they do to keep themselves entertained? Will this be a one time thing?

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“Open up your mouth for me, princess. Let me show you how I like it.”
Without further delay I brought myself face to cock with Bentley’s member and in one fell swoop I deep throated him. While I couldn’t get his full cock into my mouth I made sure to stroke what I couldn’t fit and massage his balls so that they didn’t feel left out.
“Jesus. Fuck, Sierra.”
