There were some good ideas, but most came off as cluttered and outdated. The author had a lot of interesting things to say, but not in the realm of advice and tips so someone like me who has no interior decorating knowledge might not get much from this book

Worth glancing through for redecorating ideas, if you can get it from the library. There were some rooms I quite liked, but they were the more traditional ones, which you could see similar versions of elsewhere. The ones where she was trying to be more original seemed off-putting and often oddly dated, given that the book only came out a couple years ago. But it is British and perhaps their interior decorating is somewhat different from the US styles.
