HaileyI did everything that was expected of me. I got good grades, went to a good college; I never even had a boyfriend, which for a normal girl of twenty-two was practically unheard of. My life was safe, predictable. That all changed when Dominic kidnapped me, robbing me of the cookie-cutter life I so carefully handcrafted. I was abducted and a new me was born. DominicI spent so long uncovering secrets that it was becoming a bit of a specialty for me. After watching Hailey for twelve months I knew the secrets she held—the repressed temptation that called to men like me. Stealing her was easy, making her fall in love with me, even easier. It was the feeling she sparked in me that I had no control over. A feeling I never expected. But the one thing that threatened to unravel us both was my secret, the reason I took her in the first place. ***Dominic and Hailey were two people from two different worlds, and some paths should never cross.

This is a stunning debut. Cee Smith’s writing is beautifully woven and completely captivating. I don’t usually care for abduction stories but I read this one to the end. It’s erotic, sexy, sweet, and filthy all at once.

If you enjoy beautiful writing, a dirty talking alpha (who secretly has a sweet side), and the forbidden fantasy of being taken and falling hard for your captor, then Stolen Donor is definitely for you.

Dark, twisted, and insanely erotic.

I look forward to future works from Ms. Smith!

Dual POVs, First Person. The switch in POVs is in every other chapter. I think it would have been better to write the entire book in one POV. I knew what each of the characters was thinking at all times. It took away the intensity for me.

Dominic kidnaps Hailey. Dominic is a very successful and rich man. He has been obsessed with Hailey for a year. In that year, he has been stalking her…watching her every move. The time came to kidnap her when she was on vacation. Even though he kidnaps her, he does not torture her in anyway except he put a chain on her wrist to prevent her from running away. He feeds her and makes sure she has everything she needs and wants except her freedom.

I think for me I just did not feel the connection. I am not sure I cared for Hailey. There was just nothing about these characters that drew them to me. There is a lot of inner dialogue and a detailed description about everything. I felt it took away from the story. I need dialogue between the characters, I need to see the connection. I think all the detail that Hailey gave about her life could have been spread out throughout the book and not provided in the beginning. It was just too much detail.
The reader later discovers that Dominic did not just kidnap Hailey because he was obsessed. He had other reasons for wanting her. Don’t want to saw much more about that. It was a great premise, but it just lacked the execution for me.

This is a dark story on the lighter side.

Wow, what a fabulous book! And, I have to ask again - is this really Cee Smith's debut novel because I find that hard to believe with the outstanding writing and well developed characters. I am wholly impressed, Ms. Smith! I came into this book knowing about the darker aspects, which only made me want to read it more. What I didn't expect was to truly fall in love with the H. Most times, the captors are so twisted and damaged that it is difficult to really understand them, but not with Dominic. He was dark and fucked up and a little mean sometimes, but also thoughtful and surprisingly gentle with the h. All throughout this book my emotions were warring right along with the h. Do you trust your captor or do you try to run? What would your life look like if you feel for the man who took you? How is that something you could ever get past? All of these questions were answered and it was done really well. My only complaint is that I would have liked to see more of their relationship after figuring stuff out. It seemed, to me, that the Epilogue was rushed just to get to the HEA. Still, I was very satisfied and know that I will read more of Cee's books!

Boy oh boy did Cee Smith give us a different spin on the dark romance with this book. I wasn't too sure about it at first, as it took me until at least the 35% mark to really start liking it. After that, you see why there is such a slow detailed build up as the story turns completely crazy.

Hailey has suffered some tragedy in her past. She lost her parents at a young age and only has her twin sister left. Brought up by their parents best friends, Hailey and her sister Jess try to make the best of it with their pseudo-parents and Adam, their son. Knowing her love of the water, Adam talks Hailey into a night time scuba lesson while they are on Spring Break in Australia. That decision changes the rest of Hailey's young life.

Dominic is a man on a mission. He has been watching the young, beautiful Hailey for the past twelve months. Creeper much? As crazy as it sounds, he actually has a reason, albeit it a far fetched one, but not in his mind. He also lost his parents at a young age and ended up turning his dads company into the mulit-million dollar business it is today. So Dominic has lots of money and lots of time. His situation proves that money can't buy you everything, however it can make you feel slightly above the law I suppose.

Snatching Hailey turned out to be easier than Dominic thought, getting her to go along with the program is another story. Dominic is on borrowed time and needs Hailey to want him as much as he wants her so this kidnapping thing can be put behind them. Yeah right. This part of the story is where we get the darker side of Dominic, and Hailey learns how much she can take. I liked the back and forth and how most of the time Hailey ended up with the long end of the stick so to say.

"She expunged all of these feelings from me, and like a woman who'd dropped her purse, I was left scrounging around the floor scooping up all these things I had spent so much time hiding." ~ Dominic

While he thought he knew Hailey from the time he spent watching her, Dominic was totally wrong and this girl surprises him at every turn. She made him see and feel things he hadn't in years. After his parents died, Dominic threw himself into his work and left his personal skills to the side. Hailey saw that deep down she could love this other side of Dominic, she just needed to keep him in the present. However, with the secret he is holding, there is no way Dominic can show his true colors.

"Sometimes things are just explainable. Dominic was one of those things. I just wanted to forget about how and why I was there. I wanted to forget that there was anything more than him and me." ~ Hailey

The book was great and the story line different, very different, which is what kept me moving along at the slower parts of the book. Cee Smith is very descriptive in her writing which is something I appreciate as a reader. Stolen Donor is written well with a nice epilogue to boot!

I just don't even know what to say.

I loved the cover.
The concept was perfect.
Ugh.. but execution is what was lacking in the end.

This story could have been soooo good but somewhere between 30-40% the author loses me. I was hoping against hope that the story line would turn around so I kept reading. And reading. And reading some more. I read until 2:30 am until I finished this book. I was sad, mad and overall just disappointed.

I don't say these things to be mean, I'm being completely honest.

The story had parts I loved, which almost made it easier to hate this story because i saw what could have been and it look awesome! It was just so full of potential and it was a let down. Maybe I was dying to read a good captive story? Either way, this one fell flat.
You can't start a story full steam on this vision (plot) and then basically completely ignore it at the at.

STOP*** SPOILERS up ahead, so don't read unless i've already finished this book.

Things I love;
Insta love
Virgin
Hot unassuming girl
HOT Cocky guy
Possessive behavior
Hot Stalking ways lol
accidental pregnancy

Things that did not work;
Quasi cheating - you stalk and obsess with a girl for at least and year and still sleep with others?
Kidnapping for organ donation BUT make girl fall for you.
Too much plot time wasted on all these relationships that make you suspicious of a bad guy lurking and in the end their are pretty much dead end relationship. The house keeper, Adam, Dr. Reynolds. Like Really, what was the point of the Dr. being a creepy perv? What value did that bring to the story? Also it was never explained why? Also how did the Dr. know she was forced to be there? Had our hero-villain tread this before?
Another thing that REALLY put the nail on the coffin in this story for me was the wrapping up of the organ donation fiasco. REALLY? This whole story is about that and the problem is solved in 2 sentences?! "Oh my twin sister was nice enough to be the donor After I got pregnant". that was just a major eye roll. With the exception of that whole bit of the organ donation, this story seemed like a watered down version of the CONSEQUENCES series. Too many like elements of that series that didn't make sense with the plot of this story the author was trying to build.

I received a copy of this book from Sizzling PR in exchange for an honest review.

When I read the blurb for Stolen Donor, I already had a hint of what the reason was why the heroine was kidnapped. There were two reasons, actually. The other was a bit difficult to believe. However, I've read many books with a similar premise as this one, so I know I won't be surprised by whatever was in store.

Stolen Donor is a novel that made kidnapping end in a fairy tale. I mean, after she was kidnapped and they started having feelings for each other, the resolution was too easy. I would have liked to read something more gripping, more devastating.

I think that with stories like this, the further that the author goes from romance and happy endings, the more satisfying the book becomes. When I read Stolen Donor, I did it right before I read another book that had the same premise. That second book was more raw, darker, more sinister.

I don't mind getting a kidnapped heroine fall in love with her captor. One of my favorite series is Anna Zaires' Twist Me trilogy and that had the same story. However, the hero, Julian, was never painted as a good man. He was a monster. He lived and loved in his own way. There was no liking him, but there was also no way you would not love him.

The hero in this book was okay. I just wish it didn't end with them going back home like nothing happened and him getting his liver transplant from the heroine's twin sister.I felt like after everything, all he could have just done was approach her get her trust and come clean.

I didn't see any consistency with the kidnapping, though. I mean, from being a wealthy, lonely and sick man, when did he decided he was going to kidnap the heroine? Before that, was there anything in him at all that could possibly turn him into a kidnapper who seduces a young girl, makes her fall in love with him, gets her pregnant, and then needs her for one of her organs. I don't know. I wanted it to work for me, but when I read the other book I had, I realized that was more believable than this.

**ARC Review**

Wow! That is the first thing I will say. When I started Stolen Donor one day ago I was already captivated by the second page of the epilogue. As Hailey and Dominic's story progressed I kept thinking to myself, "Is this really Cee Smith's debut novel?" Bravo Cee for a story line that flows beautifully and is balanced perfectly between both Hailey and Dominic's POV's.

Hailey is definitely the good girl with a love for life, especially if it has anything to do with bodies of water. Even though she's the more reserved one between her and her twin sister Jessa, she soon finds herself dealing with an animalistic craving for her captor that she doesn't understand. I think anyone who reads this story can relate to her inner turmoil and struggle with her feelings. I mean really, how do you stay level headed when you've been kidnapped by someone like Dominic Callas?

Oh, Dominic. He is the gorgeous, troubled billionaire who needs Hailey in more ways than the obvious. He stalked her for over a year, watching and learning everything about her. After kidnapping Hailey while she was vacationing in Australia he gets more than he bargained for. She starts to bring out the softer side in Dominic. She makes him feel things he has long kept hidden from the world. On occasion her fiery, defiant side makes an appearance which in turn brings out the "monster" in Dominic. Even with his "softer" side, he has no qualms with putting her back in her place.

If you enjoy abduction, hot sex and a fierce chemistry between the heroin and her dark knight then this is definitely a MUST READ. Another great thing about Cee Smith's debut novel, NO CLIFFHANGER!

I don't like giving away spoilers when I review books, but bare with me for a minute. You really need to know…

This book is good. Crazy good. So good in fact that when I finished reading it, I double checked with the author to verify that it was her first book. Amazingly, it was.

Dominic and Hailey’s story isn't a conventional one. It is one that is wrought with fear, anger, hurt, deception of the unthinkable kind, and maybe…love. It's dark, erotic, full of confusion and a constant push and pull against all that is right and wrong. There is a subtle build to their story and a changing dynamic that will keep you turning the page until the very end, and when you make it to the end, you will want more. More of everything. More of an ever strengthening Hailey and more of an ever changing Dominic. They start the story as one person and end as someone completely different. To watch their story unfold was simply lovely, and I can't wait to see where their story goes.

This book was incredibly well written. The flow and description was so beautiful, that I did not put it down from start to finish. The emotion that Cee Smith is able to elicit will hit you right in the “feels”. I cannot wait to read more from this talented author.

"Let go. I've got you."

When Cee Smith first reached out to the blog asking us to read this book, I immediately said Yes. Stalking, abduction, graphic language, offensive situations.... uhh yes! She had me at stalking.

You start with Hailey who is a good girl who doesn't date. She travels with her sister and friend but her life is relatively safe. You add Dominic who not only goes after what he wants, but he takes it when he needs to. He falls for Hailey from afar and does what he needs to do to get her... he kidnaps her.

If you've read 'abduction' books in the past, I need to tell you that this one is different. Dominic has secrets that are the catalyst for him seeking out Hailey. His only interest is making her, his... in more ways than one.
Dominic is a dirty talking, take charge, brooding, alpha male, but he also has a softer side he gives to Hailey. It doesn't take long before Hailey is feeling things for her abductor that have her questioning everything. That is... until she figures out his secret.

Are you looking for a dark read that isn't too over the top? You'll have a tough time putting this one down, once you start reading.

I was given an arc of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely loved this story! I guess I may have an issue because I love dark stories with happy endings! The darker, the better!

Dominic and Hailey's story has everything: a tall sexy alpha male, a strong-willed sweet smart and beautiful innocent young woman; juicy DRAMA, and smokin hot sex! What else is there? Perfect recipe!

Hailey is on vacation with her twin Jessa and adopted brother Adam. While on a scuba diving night session, Hailey is kidnapped by the uber sexy and mysterious, Dominic. I have a complex because I was on Dominic's side from the beginning! After discovering why he kidnapped Hailey....it was a wrap! Team Dominic all the way! How lonely and alone Dominic must have felt to go to this extreme......

Ohhhhhhhhh but karma is a heffa because Dominic falls head over heels in love with his captive and she feels the same way! How devastating when she discovers her purpose for being kidnapped and discovering she is pregnant! Yeeesssssss the drama is sooooooooooo deliciousk!

I'll stop here before I spill all the juicy stuff. This is a must read, people! You won't regret investing your money and time.....I promise!

I really wanted to like this one. I loved the idea of a H who is obsessed with the h and has to have her. However, I will not tolerate an abusive guy. In my opinion, once a H hits the h, he is no longer a H. Abuse should never be tolerated or excused in any circumstances. The H was mean and cruel sometimes. I liked that he was possessive and obsessive but he acted too much like a villain. The h gave in too easily and I was surprised at how quickly she allowed her lust for the H to overrule her fear and mistrust. This happens all too often in stories. The h loses her common sense just bc a guy is really HOT. I think men are more prone to this than women. I also did not like that sometimes they liked each other and then they hated each other. This would go back and forth and I felt lost. What was real? Furthermore, I didn't like that there were a few things that were left unanswered. I may give this author another chance.

It's been a while since I've read a kidnapping/abducting themed book so when I came across Stolen Donor I was pretty excited. This book is very different because the heroine is very compliant -- most of the time -- and there was no escape attempts, and the hero's motivation isn't lead by just obsession.

Overall, I did enjoy this book regardless of the fact that it's written in dual POVs.

Okay, I may have to come back and revise the wording on this review later, it's freaking late, but I just wanted to go on record and say... Oh. My. God. I freaking loved this book. No, wait -- I freaking LOVE this book! Sorry, that word "loved" denoted a love in the past tense , as though my uber book crush is now over, and I've moved on to another book, which is so NOT true! I am loving this book, right freaking now, and will continue to love it.

This story is a little bit dark, but not the creeped-out-and-feeling-queasy kind of dark. Sheesh. I don't want to say too much, because it'll give away the path the story leads you down, and you need to find your own way. At least, the first time you read it. So, nope! No spoilers, even if I'm excited enough to want to spill a few, or several. But, I won't. Just hurry up and read it before I do, people! Gah!

Ultimately, it's a gorgeous story that I'll be reading again and again. This has suspense, twists, angst, and some wtf moments, without holding you too long in any one place, so you're not overwhelmed, nor are you underwhelmed. I couldn't put the book down until it was finished. It was that good! No boring or slow parts, but every last bit was important to the story.

Dominic was oh-so-hot, and mysterious, and Alpha, and, well... You'll wish he'd been stalking you by the time it's over. He has his reasons for going after Hailey, and they're understandable reasons, although, he could've... well, read it. But, his original reason for taking her, changes somewhat, and then... again, read it yourself. I've seen where some reviewers felt that he cheated on the heroine, because while he was stalking her, he slept with several women that looked like her. These dalliances weren't described in detail, and he made it sound as though he were trying to not be so infatuated with her, because he needed her for... Just take my word for it, I hate cheating more than anything, but I just don't think it fell under that heading, especially since it happened before he'd ever come in contact with Hailey. Oh, sheesh. Told you I'm no good with this no spoilery thing.

Okay, where was I? Then there's Hailey. Beautiful, feisty Hailey. Twin sister to Jessa, but so different than her sister. They both lost their parents when they were young, and Hailey is still having a hard time letting herself get close to anyone. She's closed herself off, so scared of losing more. She wasn't full of self-pity, don't get me wrong. But, she's scarred, as we all are, and is having a hard time moving forward, although I don't think she sees it that way. At least, not until she is stolen away by Dominic. Both of them have their own struggles, they've both lost so much, and... Again, READ IT YOURSELF!!

Look, what you need to know is that this is more shadowy and dark grayish, than it is just a purely dark story, and by the time it ends, it's pure light. There's a beautiful love story weaved into all the unknowns and twisty parts, that ends in perfection, if I do say so myself. And, did I mention that I love this book?? Yeah, okay. Now one-click this baby, because after you're done reading it, your only regret will be that Cee doesn't have any more books out... YET! *whispers* Psst... Cee, you might want to get right on that. I'll be impatiently waiting for some more Stolen. Jessa, maybe? Or someone new, perhaps? Hmm??? *tapping my foot* Heehee.

So to wrap it up:
FIVE HUGE STARS, and only because Zon won't let me give it more ~ STANDALONE book, no cliffies, yay! ~ NO CHEATING! At least, as far as I'm concerned. Which just means that this book is an even bigger YAY for me!

Wow wow wow! Cee Smith where have you been hiding?!

Applause gif photo: Applause1.gif

I cannot believe this is her first book. She writes like someone who has been doing this for years, and she had me from the first chapter. At the center of this story we have Hailey, a young college graduate on vacation with her twin sister and friend in Australia. She's abducted in the middle of the night by a man who we know little about except that he's obsessed and he needs something from her. What it is he needs, the reader won't find out for quite some time. Dominic is wealthy, creepy, obsessive, jealous, intelligent, and very adept at stalking. He's also quite the planner because he thinks of everything. Except of what to do with Hailey when needing her turns into wanting her not just physically but emotionally. Once that happens, Dominic is a confusing emotional mess and I loved it.

I loved the constant back and forth and push and pull between the two. The attraction Haley feels for Dominic is apparent from the beginning but when it turns into more she fights it just as much as he does and it makes for some downright dirty, smoking hot sexy times. And as I was reading it, I was struck again by the fact that this is her first book. Those were some seriously hot sex scenes and they didn't come off as stupid or cringeworthy, and I never once felt like laughing (which I admit I have done a time or two because there are some god awful sex scenes out there).

And while there is ovary exploding sexytimes going on, that is not the only thing this book has going for it. It actually has a plot, a good plot that had me wondering what was going to happen. Dominic obviously has her for a reason but I wasn't sure what it was. In the beginning, I found the character attractive but I wasn't sure if he was insane, and if he was insane how deep did his crazy go? He keeps her chained to his bedroom wall. He must be a little bit crazy. And yet I must be too because I swear I didn't know if I wanted her to run from him or stay chained to his bed having incredible sex every night. That's a tough one that even Hailey didn't know the answer to. Freedom or endless orgasms? Decisions, decisions.

As the story moves along, the reader sees him open up more and more to Hailey, and I felt more for him as she did. Even though he softened up at some points, he never became soft or too sweet. He still kept a lot of his asshole tendencies and I liked that. Hailey was also an enjoyable heroine. She was never a pushover and even when she was questioning Dominic and her feelings for him it never became annoying. They also displayed flashes of humor which was something I wasn't expecting. I think it's always a good thing when an author can inject a little bit of humor, especially in dark romance to alleviate some of the tension.

Overall, I loved this book and as a debut I don't think I could've asked for anything more from this author. Except another book.

Stolen Donor is Cee Smith's debut novel. The title of the book made me think that the story was going to be very very dark and that made me hesitant to read the story. However the synopsis sounded so good I just couldn't not read it.
I'm so glad I took a chance on this book as it was stunningly written. The story was dark, but not in the way I imagined and is not the darkest story I've read by far. The story is also twisted, beautiful, surprising, erotic, full of secrets and love.
This is nothing like any of the abduction stories I have read. The synopsis hints that this story is more than just a abduction story and that things are not always what they seem, and this is defiantly what this story is like. It was so much more than I could of imagined and the way that Cee Smith unraveled the story kept me hooked and continuously wanting more.
I loved Dominic even though he was a kidnapper. I always knew there was more to him than meets the eye and that there was more behind his reasoning to kidnap Hailey. He was intriguing, dirty talking, secretive, but he also had a softer side that would come out around Hailey mostly. Dominic changes Hailey over time and makes her a much stronger character than what she started out as. Both characters end up very different to how they are at the beginning of the story. Both of them go on a great journey together and reading how they both change each other throughout the story was interesting to read about and see happening through the story.
Hailey is confused and doesn't understand what's happening, why she's been taken or why She is having feelings for her captor? As much as she fights it though she can't stop her feelings developing. She questions everything and anything and wants to know Dominic's secret. Can she handle the truth once the secrets are revealed though?
The chemistry between the 2 characters was undeniable and instant. The author wrote the story with great detail and the description she added in the book really made the story and help bring it to life.
This was a a great debut novel. The author had a great way of making the story flow with ease and the story unfolded beautifully at a great pace.
This was not the story I thought it would be when I started reading it, however it ended up bring better than I could ever of thought.
This was a great original twist on a dark/abduction read that will leave you shocked and wanting more.
I can't believe this was a debut novel. It was fantastic. I can't wait for more.

A 5-STAR ROMANTIC SUSPENSEFUL EROTIC PAGE TUNER NOVEL THAT STOLE MY HEART!

A romance, suspense, mystery, page-turner…

STOLEN DONOR is Cee Smith’s debut novel and I was instantaneously drawn to her beautiful writing style immediately. I have to admit I was expecting something very dark, but Cee Smith threw me a curveball captivating my interest throughout the entire novel. The novel was beautifully twisted and dark, but a surprising beautiful erotic romance that steals your heart.

Hailey and her twin sister, Jessa, were left with family friends at the age of 12 years old, when their parents were tragically killed in an auto accident. The family was her best friend’s family, Adam, but even though she had known Adam all her life, she did feel comfort within herself. The only thing that provided solace to Hailey was water.

“I was afraid that one thing that was as essential to me as breathing, was stolen..”

Now 22 years old, Hailey is in her last year at college when Jessa and Adam decide to take a vacation in Queensland, Australia for Spring Break. While on vacation, they all decide to take scuba lessons so they can go do some nighttime scuba diving for the first time. Unfortunately, tragedy strikes while on vacation.

“Nobody experiences a life-changing event like this unscathed…”

Dominic has also been fighting his personal demons for many years, but has accomplished many things and is successful gorgeous businessman with an agenda. Dominic has been watching Hailey for a year now, waiting for the opportunity to take her and own her. Scared and confuse, Hailey starts to have feelings for Dominic when she sees his ‘true’ side of himself.

"Sometimes things are just explainable. Dominic was one of those things. I just wanted to forget about how and why I was there. I wanted to forget that there was anything more than him and me."

Spending time with Hailey, Dominic starts to let the walls surrounding his heart fall as well as his intentional plans for Hailey also start to crumble.

"She expunged all of these feelings from me, and like a woman who'd dropped her purse, I was left scrounging around the floor scooping up all these things I had spent so much time hiding."

I rate Cee Smith’s first novel, STOLEN DONOR - 5 AMAZING STARS!

I liked this book a lot. Haley lead a fairly average life for the most part. She went on trips with her twin sister Jessa and their friend Adam. They went to a different place each time and always near the water. Their parents died when they were young and Adam's parents took them in making a brother to them. They were almost done with college and on their last trip before they all went their separate ways in life and that is when everything changed for Haley. Dominic has been been watching Haley for the last year. He never expected to start to fall for her though. Dominic is a powerful man and taking Haley wasn't a problem for him. Once he went to see her for himself instead of pictures he was surprised by the way he started to feel for her. Now that he has taken her he has to figure out how these new feelings fit into the equation. This was book very interesting. It had lots of twists and turns. Dominic needed Haley for his own needs but he never expected to feel things for her like he does. Dominic has lived a lonely life. His parents disappeared and once he started looking for them he found things out about them they were not pleasant. He took over the company his father started and made it better. Haley thought she was living until Dominic takes her. She is scared when she is first taken but she quickly is more frightened by the way she feels about Dominic. They both change each other in unexpected ways. Dominic finds himself caring about what she thinks about him and whether she is happy or not. He finds himself doing things he wouldn't normally do. Haley finds herself being braver and confident then she was in the past. Her sister is the one who stands up for them and is out spoken. I found myself sucked into the story and couldn't put it down. It was interesting to read how things developed between them and how much Dominic changed. I looked forward to reading other books by Cee Smith.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

~~~~~~~~~~Dee's ★★★★★ Review~~~~~~~~~~~
This story about Hailey and Dominick has a totally different take on how they meet. It appears he is a stalker who has planned on abducting her for several months. Automatically, we think he is the "bad guy" and our sympathies go out to Hailey. But nothing is clearly black or white. The big question is "Why kidnap her?" The usual reasons for kidnapping someone doesn't seem to apply here. So the mystery continues. As time moves along, Hailey & Dominick slowly get to know each other and they both begin to change. Hearts begin to open and a relationship blossoms. One day, Hailey accidentally overhears a conversation that reveals Dominick's reason for the abduction and it shocks her into immediate anger and disbelief. The ripples from this "truth bomb" shakes up both people and causes them to reevaluate their feelings. How this story progresses is an interesting and enjoyable reading experience.
This book is very interesting to say the least. Hailey, her twin sister, and their friend Allen go on a diving trip in Australia. Hailey is kidnapped by Dominic. He wanted her the first time he saw he over a year ago. He is in need of a kidney transplant, and she is a match. She is attracted to him, but wants to go home to her sister. She manages to get a note to one of his business associates to try and get help, which is the wrong person. They flee his place and he protects her. He finds out that she cannot give him part of her kidney. Who does she get a note to and how? Why is he the wrong person? What's warrants them fleeing and him protecting her? Why can Hailey not help him with the transplant? Will she ever see her twin sister again? Will he find a match before it's too late? What will happen to Hailey and Dominic?
I have to start by saying that I really did enjoy this book. I can also say that I wasn't expecting what I got by the end of this book either.
I will try not to give too much away...
Dominic is this man who craves control and he is on a mission to get what he needs. He sees Hailey and wants her. He wants to have her, consume her, keep her, and make her his. Now this character is dark in a way, very mysterious, but there is something about him and I was really drawn to him.
Hailey is a young women who truly wasn't living her life for herself. But the one thing that made her smile, feel at peace, be everything was the ocean. I can say 100% that everything in life is best when you are in the ocean or sitting there and just taking all of it at once.
Now this is the part that is hard for me so here goes...
Dominic and Hailey never should of cross paths because too they were soul mates and they got cheated out of finding one another. They were forced to meet...so to speak. There is such an amazing magnetic chemistry between these two characters, hell I was jealous. I want what these two have.
But then again we don't always get what we want and there is 1 HUGE secret that gets told and both of their worlds are broken and then something crazy, amazing, and beautiful happens what will leave you with your mouth hanging wide open.
I enjoyed this book and I am so grateful for the chance to read and review this book. Cee Smith this is my first read of your and WOW! You made me want to dive right into this book and become a character in this story. Amazing job taking a villain and turning him into a ....well I would share that last part. I want other readers to experience what I just went through ;)
Hailey is a college senior who hasn’t had an easy life. Her parents killed at a young age, Hailey and her twin sister Jessa now live with family friends. Hailey is outgoing, cheerful and loving. Always wanting an adventure she planned a spring break before college graduation in Queensland, Australia, with Jessa and Adam. It was supposed to just be a scuba diving trip, 30 minutes then back to the top but it was anything but. Hailey is snatched from the deep depths of the ocean and her life will be forever changed.
Dominic Callas is a strong, successful, beautiful man. He has been watching Hailey for over a year and to be he’s obsessed. He has his reasons for abducting Hailey, some are personal, but it’s so much more than that. He is very demanding, but never hurts Hailey. In the time they are kept together, feelings develop and guards come falling down like dominos. Hailey is so much more than Dominic expected surprising him again and again.
When the truth of while he took Hailey comes out will it ruin the trust they’ve built so far? Will it tear them apart and everything Dominic has been striving for fall to the ground?
I don’t want to give anything away so that’s all you’ll get, but it was a great story. If I had one thing that bothered me it was the ending seemed a tad rushed for as complex as it was, I wish it was just a little bit more, but it’s not enough to take away from the story at all. Maybe it’s me just wanting more of their story! Dominic and Hailey were two great strong characters and this book was a great ride! A great debut novel worthy of 4 Stars!
Hailey is enjoying last college spring break with her twin sister Jessa, and their friend Adam in Australia when the unthinkable happens. Hailey is scuba diving when she suddenly feels like she is losing oxygen. That's when everything goes dark.
Dominic has been watching Hailey for as long as he can remember. She is the one that will make his life complete. He has done everything physically possible to be with her, and now she is finally his.
Hailey must do all she can to survive, even after she finds out the reason she was taken in the first place. Will knowing Dominic's secret change her outlook on the situation she is in? Can this story have a happily ever after or was it doomed from the start?
I honestly do not know where to begin with this book besides saying that I loved it! When you start reading it, you might expect the story to be just an ordinary abduction story, but it is much more than that. This story is filled with love, fear, desire, and forgiveness.
Dominic has this life or death need and only Hailey can fill it. After I found out why Dominic chose Hailey, I really began to change my feelings towards him. Cee Smith does a fantastic job of telling this story. If it weren't written so descriptively, I don't think I would have changed my views on Dominic. You can feel his pain and anguish as you read. You can also feel the fear and questions that Hailey has bottled up inside. When the book ends, you will be begging for more. It will leave you wondering what else Cee Smith has in store for Hailey and Dominic.
Ditch your initial thoughts based on the title of this novel because you’ll be really shocked about what actually occurs throughout this intense journey.
Stolen Donor is a dark romance but definitely not what I was expecting. At first assumption, Dominic appears to be an obsessed stalker with a hidden agenda. Hailey has no idea how quickly her life is about to change. Even though Dominic’s intentions with Hailey are not legal, he has true affection toward her that allowed me to rationalize with him.
Hailey has been living a fairly innocent existence. Her twin sister is the daring and outgoing sibling while Hailey tends to take a backseat on excitement. Dominic absolutely provides an experience she will never forget. The hostel and electric tension between Hailey and Dominic was fantastic. Their dialogue is spicy and unconventional. With each passing day it seems their chemistry only gets stronger until the desire cannot be denied any longer. Could anything permanent and genuine really develop from such a horrible situation?
I am beyond happy how this plot came together and what occurs throughout the pages. This is a novel I will absolutely read again, which doesn’t occur too often for me. There are plenty of shocking moments and twists that kept my attention fastened to each scene. Hailey and Dominic blew me away!
This is definitely a unique story you’ll want to read. I cannot believe this is a debut novel! I couldn’t stop reading or put this book down if I tried. I am extremely impressed and cannot wait for what this talented author creates next.
Reviewed for A Wanton Book Lover Blog
OMG! What has Cee Smith written? It is one of the best, dark romance books I have read in awhile, that’s what. I can’t say enough about Stolen Donor. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would. I liked it that much.
Stolen Donor is the debut novel by Cee Smith. It is HOT, DARK, and TWISTY. Hailey is kidnapped while on vacation in Australia. When she comes to she finds herself well taken care of and not sexually violated as she expected, with her virginity still in tacked. Her kidnapper is actually “nice”. When Hailey becomes ill, her kidnapper even calls a doctor to come check on her. The kidnapper, we find out is named Dominic. Dominic takes care of Hailey in every single way possible; except for letting her go. Hailey soon finds herself somewhat attracted to Dominic. They even begin to fool around a little. Suddenly Hailey finds herself caring for Dominic but still unsure why he kidnapped her. When the truth behind Hailey’s kidnapping finally is revealed, there are some other surprises in store for Hailey and Dominic.
As I said before, I loved this book. I thought the writing was superb. The story was detailed and moved along. It has just the right of suspense along with a hot romance between Hailey and Dominic. As a reader, I was able to see the characters of Hailey and Dominic grow throughout the story.
*Stolen Donor does have some situations that are sensitive so please be advised of that.
