I enjoyed it, but I would have loved to see more of how Emil and Misha's relationship got where it did. The evolution is completely bypassed. Still, I loved their dynamics.

I am an independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock. I received Ptolemy's Tablet from its author and from them. This short novella has two main characters Emil and Misha who are worldly partners in an attempt to save the mundane (human) world. Emil and Misha struggle with their feelings for each other as they are hunted by the secret police and mercenaries. I liked Emil, he was clever and considerate, the name Puzzle is apt for Misha. The author describes action sequences really well and Egyptian culture is woven seamlessly into the narrative. I just wish

I enjoyed this very much as I am a fan of this series. The only reason I have given it a three star and not more was that it is a short story and more of a expansion of characters we meet in the main plot through the series. It wouldn't be fair to those novels as these are much more complex.
