Secrets are finally revealed. You'll need to read the first book as this one continues a few months later as the couple start a new life together. I loved their relationship. As doubtful and fearful the heroine was, she gave her heart away on a silver platter. Although the secret the hero kept away from her was mainly to protect their relationship, it was still an unforgivable one. I still forgave him though, especially after that last scene. A definite recommendation!

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I really really enjoyed book one and couldn't wait to read this. I had high expectations and this author did not disappoint, although I have to say I loved book 1 just a tad more. The ridiculousness behind some characters' personalities and their reactions to situations will keep you thoroughly entertained throughout. Brock is my new favorite everything. His crazy wildness just kept everything moving along smoothly and in some cases (in my o ...more

5 beautifully written, heart in my throat for the last 30% stars!

We all knew Phoenix was hiding something, and BL Berry did a fantastic job building the tension all throughout the story, making us fall in love with Phoenix even more and dread when he'd break our heart. Ivy is still a great heroine, snarky but vulnerable, and you couldn't help but admire the hell out of her for being as strong as she was.

Like Love Nouveau, the writing flowed perfectly. BL Berry's writing style I can only define

**Taken from my book blog at http://booknerd0116.blogspot.com/2015...**

I received an ARC of Love Abstract this past weekend for an honest review, and since it was released to the public today, I had to put in some overtime in reading to finish it quickly. That really wasn't a problem since I was so excited to read it.

This book picks up where the other one ends, right after Ivy and Phoenix move to New York together. They're in mushy, they're gushy, they're totally in love. In fact, the dialogue i

My heart is still broken from this one. I must be heartless and unforgiving or something...

I loved Phoenix in Love Nouveau. Like, he could do no wrong. But after the first chapter of this one when he revealed he was withholding information from Ivy, I couldn't even let myself feel anything for him. I read the first half of the book distanced from them both, knowing something bad was going to happen... and for a person who loves to experience deep emotions when she reads, that's kind of a bummer.

Last year we reviewed the first book in this series Love Nouveau (make sure to read that book first!). This book picks up a few weeks after Phoenix and Ivy make their move to New York. They are living together and everything seems to be going okay. However, Phoenix is hiding something pretty major and Ivy knows it. Ivy starts learning bits and pieces along the way, but never from Phoenix himself. Ivy decides to trust him anyways. However, after a night of celebration the truth comes out and Ivy ...more

What can I say here? This book is nothing short of beautiful. It is art. It just took my heart for one heck of a ride. And my stomach, heart, and mind are still reeling and soaring.

When I finished Love Nouveau I was seriously counting the months and stalking BL so I would know exactly when Love Abstract released. I had to know. Had. To.

While I know there were struggles with this book, you wouldn't know by reading it. It is beautiful. Ivy and Phoenix are quite possibly one of the best matched pai

Wow this one was a perfect ending to a duet I just devoured I loved it so much. I want my husband to read these books so he knows more about romance fro Phoenix, insight and forgiveness from Brock, and new artistic perspectives from Ivy.

While parts of this squeezed my heart with pain for this couple, the love outweighed the struggle. This was a powerful journey and very true to the ways couples struggle trying to understand themselves, compromise for someone el

I loved that Love Nouveau didn't end on a cliffhanger but this book lends so much more to Ivy and Phoenix's story.

Ivy and Phoenix are together in NY, finding out about each other in a tangible way this time by living together. Both in new jobs, life is tough with such a past of hurt haunting their relationship. Family is a swear word to both of them in different ways, so there is a lot of adversity to overcome. New twists present themselves and it made for a fairly fast paced read. I liked these

BL Berry does it again! I had a love/hate relationship with the characters. There were times I wanted to scream at my kindle and ask them what the fork are you thinking?!?

But in the end, I'm sad that is the end of the road for Ivy and Phoenix (I'm still hoping for a novella;-). Also a new character was introduced and I think we could be BFFs. I found myself cracking up at some of that stuff coming out of this character's mouth!

I cannot wait to see what new characters BL has in store for us.

"An erratic piece of dynamite.”
When this beauty popped up on my kindle I couldn't wait to dive in and find out what Phoenix was hiding.
I DEVOURED this book!
It's suspenseful, heart stopping roller coaster of emotions.
When the big secret dropped, I was absolutely blown away.
I would have never imagined the secret it is what, I truly understand why Ivy was so hurt. I felt her pain and sadness but In this book you truly see how much Phoenix loves Ivy.

Ugh, I felt like throwing this book against a wall!

I didn't care for the characters to begin with, but can sometimes overlook that for the main story. The actions of the characters in this book were ridiculous. I didn't think I could hate a character more than Jack Carter from The Perfect Game, but damn did Phoenix come close! One of the most frustrating books I've read in a while.

*PLEASE NOTE- This book is the second in a series and you cannot read it without the first. Make sure to read Love Nouveau before diving into the conclusion of Phoenix and Ivy’s story!*
BL Berry… that woman. She has a way of taking your heart, putting it through an emotional meat grinder and somehow leaving something more beautiful and unexpected than what you thought would be left from before. I first discovered BL Berry at her release party for Love Nouveau. I was intrigued and when I read it, I feel in love with the characters but also with that, I got to know BL Berry herself and not only are her books amazing, but she is also a fabulous person. She has quickly climbed up the ranks of my favorite authors that I cannot wait to see what else they come out with. I'm sat here, as I attempt to write this review, all warm and fuzzy! :)

This is a story about a strong, unconditional love, that can survive just abut whatever is thrown at it. Second Chances that need not be wasted. B L Berry hooks you into this story, making you feel that you are a major part of it. Your heart is broken into pieces, but slowly but surely she puts it back together again. This is part 2 and most certainly you need to have read Love Nouveau first.

It was not an easy journey, but I

What a great second book, loved it!

We catch back up to Ivy and Phoenix after they have moved to and been living in New York for a few weeks. Everything seems perfect, they're both doing well at their respective jobs, their relationship is thriving, things are great...and that's when you know the other shoe is about to fall. Ivy can tell Phoenix is hiding something, but she's waiting for him to tell her. Phoenix knows he should tell Ivy his secret but is afraid of the fall out. When the truth com

Love Abstract is the follow up to Love Nouveau. We knew at the end of book 1 there was a secret that Phoenix was hiding from Ivy. I still found myself caught up in the sweetness of this relationship, even though there was some impending issues to come. Phoenix is simply incredible and continues to be that person for Ivy. She's lived her entire life being second best to her sister and almost non existent to her mother. Phoenix is completely

Ok, I'm just gonna say it... I am in love with a fictional character and his name is Phoenix. lol. Love Nouveau, book #1 of this duet, was absolutely amazing. It is definitely on my list of top 10 books that I hold near and dear to my heart. And Love Abstract was a fantastic conclusion and definitely a 5 star read for me. (But I didn't think it touched the greatness of the first. Maybe I am biased because I love a broken character and all of Ivy's thoughts and feeling of the the first book just ...more

I fell in love with "Love Nouveau" a few months ago, I kept hearing about it and while typically I don't go right out and buy the most buzzed about books right away because I like to hang back and read the reviews that come in after the book blogs and Facebook pages stop talking about a book. I picked it up and dove right in. These characters and this story is intense! Two reasons this was a must buy for me: the pretty cover sitting on my Kindle and Phoenix.

I loved Ivy and Phoenix in Love Nouveau. I was super excited for the drama to be over and them to finally be able to fall fully in love.

They have just moved to New York and our settling into their new jobs, home, and lives. I loved how Ivy has matured and is handling what happened to her with such dignity. But they can't stay in paradise forever.

Phoenix is harboring a secret that with Ivy's past could des

So I am hesitant to write this review. I absolutely fell in love with the characters in Love Nouveau and devoured that story. I was anxious to read the second book. Based on the prologue of Love Nouveau and the synopsis of this one, I could not wait. The second book just fell short for me. I honestly struggled to get through this one and I almost did not finish it. The most surprising part of this book was Brock. He was witty, charismatic, charmingly gay, and an overall good guy, despite his gru ...more

Oh holy moly!!! This book!!! What an epic end to two of my favorite peoples love story! Ivy and Phoenix definitely stole my heart! There was pain, joy, love, and just so much more in this story! Phoenix and Ivy found themselves in a situation that I wasn't sure they would recover from. But in the end love won and happiness prevailed! Reading this series I learned so much! Refreshing read...

I love B L Berry romances. The storyline, the dialogue is unpredictable. It's refreshing, like a great dish with familiar ingredients but updated to be more savory and spicy. Lastly, the book weaves in a lot of sage advice. I was initially unconvinced with Ivy's motivation for shutting out Phoenix, but I did get the internal warring of emotions of betrayal and hypocrisy. it just took me longer to get there.

I was anxiously waiting for this book for more Phoenix and Ivy and was so excited to read it! Phoenix and Ivy are officially together and trying to make things work. For me this book was about second chances, love and not being afraid to love completely. I just have to say that I adored the end of this book (Brock's show), I feel like it made it all come together!

BL Berry grew up telling lies. Eventually, those lies turned into elaborate stories and when she grew older she started writing them down. When she’s not hiding behind her computer writing, you can find her spending time with her family or catching up on her favorite TV shows. Rumor has it she’ll sleep when she’s dead.
