This was a very cute and fun romance novella. Looking forward to continuing on with the series!

If you haven't read any of the No Match for love books then I would recommend reading this one before reading Miss Match(which is the one labeled as #1 on Goodreads). But if you look at Amazon it lists Strike Your Match as #1. I actually heard from the author that she labeled them that way so if you are looking to read them in order as the author had planned, start with Strike your Match, Meet Your Match, Miss Match and then the others in subsequent order. Or follow the way they're labeled on Am ...more

I thought book one sounded cute and had a bit of an Emma-vibe to it so I was eager to try a new to me author and narrator. This prequel was noticed after the fact and so I decided to start at the very beginning. While the series is adult contemporary romance, this prequel is how it all began back in high school. It was a bittersweet piece that did it's job of introduction and set up for what is to come. And oh yes, the Emma-vibe continued and was even referenced.

MEET YOUR MATCH is such a feel good story. I read it in one sitting, well, it's only a little over one hundred pages, but it was really cute. I'm going to start the next book in the series, Miss Match as soon as I finish my review.

Brooke is sixteen years old and just moved to a new town just in time to start at a new high school. Her parents are separated since her dad had an affair with his assistant. Brooke is not interested in finding a

I gave this book 2 stars because it is lacking depth in the story. I originally bought this book because it was $.99 and I got the second (the first techniquely) book in this series free for me to give an honest review, and thought I would enjoy the story better with the knowledge of their previous encounter. I hope I am right! I am just starting to read the other story, so time will tell.

But just talking about this story, though, because that's what matters, right???

This was a cute short story and a good set up for the upcoming release of Miss Match.

Brooke is devastated when she finds out her dad has been cheating on her mom. She moves to a new place with her mom and has to start at a new high school. As much as I want, I won't vent about how upset I am with her dad. Anyway, she starts at a new school and catches the attention of school hottie, Luke. She thinks Luke is a player and refuses to go out with him. Which of course only makes Luke more determined

This is a novella that sets up the characters and background for the next book in the series, Miss Match. The characters are in high school and that is the beginning of their friendship. The characters felt young- appropriately so, and I could easily imagine them in the high school setting. I was glad I had the next book to delve right into.

This novella tells the story of how Brooke and Zoe became friends, how Brooke and Luke became best friends and why Brooke becomes a Matchmaker. It also explains how Brooke came up with her rules for her friendship with Luke so they would stay friends and didn't become boyfriend and girlfriend.
Brooke is going through a really rough time for anyone, especially a teenager. Her parents have separated and are divorcing because her dad cheated and now that woman is pregnant, add to that she and her m

cute cute cute. I thought this was adorable. I loved how the relationship between Luke and Brooke developed from her thinking he was a jerk and a player to finding a true friend in him. The interactions between these two, as well as with the other supporting characters was fun. Felt real and believable and I'm really looking forward to Miss Match the full length novel to see where life leads these two fascinating characters once they are out of High School.

Totally biased review by the author here. I had so much fun delving into Luke and Brooke's past and writing about their friendship. I love their characters so much and I'm excited to share them with everyone!

This was a fun book about a group of high school kids. I enjoyed watching the main characters get to know each other and grow and change and understand why the other characters acted the way they did. Good, clean, super quick read.

I received this free ebook for an honest review.
Rating: 3.5 stars.

This was a cute novella suitable for teenagers. At first I thought it was just going to be a typical teen book (boys and girls behaving like everyday high school kids), however the story improved as it progressed. In my opinion, I thought it realistically portrayed the hurt a child feels when his (or in this case, her) parents divorce.

Brooke was starting a new high school after moving into a new neighborhood with her mother. Distressed over her parents' recent separation, she

This is a cute novella about Brooke. I liked her character. I liked the fact that even though she is young, she knows just what she wants to be when she grows up, a matchmaker, she knows just where she wants to work and she's got her life all planned out with out a trace of a cheating guy anywhere in it. Brooke's situation with her parents shows her just what she doesn't want or need in her life and that's why she's continually pushing Luke away. Until one day when she needs him because she has ...more

This was a good short story about Brooke Pierce. She is a high school student who swore off boys because her father cheated on her mother with a 20-year-old dental hygienist. She and her mom move to a new town and on her first day she meets the two guys, Chris and Luke. Well, she didn't meet them exactly but she heard them talking about how to "get the new girl". That causes her to have negative reaction to Luke, justifiably. But maybe there's more to Luke than the first impression. Should Brook ...more

"Meet Your Match" was a wonderful tale by Lindzee Armstrong. This lovely story sets the stage for the future novels to come, it helps the readers to see a little behind the scenes action of what let to the original stories. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this little slip into the past, for it truly shows us the how and why the characters developed into the roles that they did.

Miss Match #1 - This well written romance takes place eight years after they met in high school. The characters, from Meet Your Match, are still believable, the dialogue realistic and the plot well thought out, fun with a touch of sadness. Definitely, a great relationship romance.

Not Your Match #2 - Heartwarming. Another well written, funny romance with believable characters and an interesting plot. This book is just as hard to put down as the other books by the author. The author writes substan

I did not like this book at all. I felt like it was written at a young adult level but the story was too mature yet terribly junior high/high school at the same time. People have shelved this as clean romance but I wouldn't agree. Dad is having an affair which tears the family apart. Mom says to her daughter, "He's shacking up with a twenty-year-old whore..." The high schoolers are dressed in highly sexualized Halloween costumes. "He could only assume from her skimpy costume that she was dressed ...more

Snagged this one on Amazon for free right after the New Year. I didn't realize it was a novella, despite picking up on the fact that it's a prequel of sorts, so I'm actually really glad I didn't pay the normal price for it ($3.99 on Amazon - which seems a little pricey for a NOVELLA especially when the rest of the series seem to be $2.99), because that would've affected it's score for me. In a negative way.

A very cute introduction of characters that I'm looking forward to getting to read more ab

Fun and Flirty Short Listen Prelude to Series. I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review. This short story is the back story of how two friends met as teenagers (Brooke and Luke) and immediately were put in the friend-zone. This was a clean romance story but leaves me wondering if they will ever give in to their deeper feelings and leave the friend-zone and become more. The narrator does a great job performing the 3rd p ...more

The start of "The Rules" for being just friends. I received this book as a freebie for signing up for Lindzee Armstrong's newsletter. I read Book 3 before this one so I had to go back to this one to find out how everything started between Luke and Brooke and all "the rules" of being just friends. I appreciated Luke's patience and respect for Brooke. It was nice to find him a true gentleman no matter how hard it was. It was interesting that Brooke could not accept her true feelings because most o ...more

I got this little novella for free and thought I should give it a read. It was a quick read and more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Apparently it's a kind of prequel to the author's No Match for Love series, so for anyone who has read those books already the main characters here will be familiar, albeit much younger. In spite of this, it was still fine as a standalone read.

Most of the characters are fairly likeable and a few difficult topics are also dealt with. There was no real twist to

So, there are three full length novels and three novellas (so far) in this series... And I may have read all three novellas in the space of two days. This one was light, flirty, sweet, and the perfect introduction to the series. Terrific character development (which one can expect from Ms Armstrong), as well as dialogue that is so realistic you feel you might be part of the conversation, and situations that make you cringe/laugh/shake your head as though you were reading about your own life. i loved this book because it got into depth with how luke and Brooke got together as friends and how their friendship blossomed. Brooke really needed this as it was at a time when she was really struggling with family life as her father had gone off with a woman half his age so Brooke needed friendship more than she needed a relationship. I know luke really wanted to take it to the next step but but he is going to have to be patient.
A really good story touching on topics of every day life.

This was such a sweetly frustrating story. I completely understand Luke's extreme frustration with Brooke pushing him away all the time, but poor Brooke being let down by the 1 man she is supposed to be #1 in his life no matter what else is going on. This story is adorable and takes me back in time. Tiffany did a great job and made me think of how everybody sounded eerily like her when I was in school.
