The No Bad Boy Rule follows The No Asshole Rule in the Rule series but it can be read as a standalone. The first book featured Andi and Lucas. This story features Andi’s brother, Dax, and Lucas’s sister, Ava.

On the verge of turning 21, Ava might be young but she’s had to mature fast and she’s become strong. Personally, I’m getting a little tired of the virgin heroine in romance so Ava as a teen mom was a fresh angle and done well. She’s a good mom, with her priorities straight, and a po

I liked Ava, she seemed grounded and down to earth but for this being a bad boy book, I thought Dax was too soft. He wasn't really a bad boy. He USED to be one but now he's on the straight and narrow. While a few problems do arise in the book, he easily swats them away as if they weren't really an issue so there was never was "challenge" so to speak. I liked the storyline but it was very predictable. Overall, it was a quick, eas

Everything changed for Ava Six years ago, with a positive pregnancy test.

Ava created one simple rule: No bad boys.

Ava has been happy with this rule, until now.

The bad boy across the hall makes her want to abandon this rule and never look back. He has these amazing hazel eyes, a gentle smile and when he interacts with her son; she wants to melt into a puddle. Dax awakens something in Ava that she’s never felt before.

Dax has a checkered past that he isn't proud of and he wants to create a futur

This is the first time I have read Ashley Erin, and I'm so very glad I did, as I LOVED this book. Ava got pregnant in High School, and it changed the course of her life. As the father didn't want much to do with them, she made a new rule of no bad boys. She's stuck to this rule for 6 years, until she comes face to face with the bad boy across the hall. Dax made many bad decisions as a teenager, and now all he wants is to earn back respect he lost, on top of a future he can be proud of. Women are ...more

This is the first time reading anything by this author and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I now have a new author to read . This is both Dax and Eva's story about two people who is trying to become better people ,and overcoming their past lives . As for Dax he has a past that he's not happy about and he also feels like he shouldn't be around people because he's not good enough to be with especially Eva. And then there's Eva who is trying to better herself for her son and for ...more

Book 2 in the rule series by Ashley Erin, and I have to say I enjoyed this book more than the first one, and I thought that would be a near impossibility as I fell in love with every aspect of that book.
In book 2, the storyline is about Dax and Ava, who are the siblings of Andie and Lucas from book 1.
Both have had troubled adolescent years, one falling onto the wrong side of the tracks, the other having to grow up fast and take on adult responsibi

I loved the first book in this series and was so excited for this book. This is the one of the few books I have read by this author and once again, she made me fall in love with her writing style. While I loved the first book in this series, this is definitely my favorite. Dax... *sigh*... swoon!

Sexy, sweet, angsty, and with a few twists along the way, this book will grab you from the very first page and won't let you go until the end. This book will pull at your emotions and give you

I loved reading book one in the Rule series, The No Asshole Rule. I couldn't wait to read the next one. The No Bad Boy Rule is book two in the Rule series. Each book follows two different characters so it can be read a s a standalone. The characters do overlap in the books and they are such a great fun bunch that I'm glad I read both and hope there are more to the series.

I received and ARC for an honest review.

Ava has been a single mother since she was 16. Finally taking time to go to school she struggles with making sure she is making the right choices for her and her son. Knowing she needs to do this to give him a great life she doesn't want to complicate it more by dating and especially dating a bad boy like Dax.
Dax has had a rough life. Joining a gang at a young age; being thrust into drugs and violence among other things he fin

Having met Ava and Dax previously, you already have a sense about these characters and the chemistry between them.

Ava had a thing for bad boys up until she ended up pregnant and bringing up Noah by herself. No more bad boys. Except, her heart didn't get the message as she falls for bad boy Dax. Dax is trying to start his life over and get away from his bad boy past. Ava provides him with a possible future he didn't think could happen and a little boy who finds a special place in his

This is the second book in the Rule series. They are stand alones, but I suggest you read them in order. This was an enjoyable read and series. It’s definitely a series I will continue to read.

Ava is Lucas’ little sister. She just started at the college, but she only lives there part-time because of Noah, her five-year-old son. She had him when she was sixteen.

Dax is Andie’s older brother. He is a reformed bad boy, to an extent. He wants to be better and he’s honestly trying. He’s attracted to A

This is a fantastic story that is about a young woman Ava who wants to improve her life for herself and her son. Her son’s father has never been a part of his life and this has made Ava leery of men who don’t keep their promises. Through Ava’s brother she has meet a man Dax, but Dax has a secret from his past.
Dax comes to Ava’s rescue when she gets her vehicle stuck in the snow while she is trying to get to class. Dax and Ava also have a college class together which they build a friendship. Then

I really enjoyed this book. Good writing style, great characters. This is connected to book one in that the heroes are brothers and there is a small amount of carry over, but can be read as a standalone (as I did), with no trouble understanding. My only real complaint was the oddity for me of having the siblings of the characters in the first book be the couple in this story. The situation felt off for me. The writer did a great job of making it work, and making it flow. I did enjoy the fact tha ...more

The No Asshole Rule (Rule, #1)

This is Ava and Dax’s story. Dax because of his past believes he is not worthy of Ava. Ava needs to stay away from Bad boys and just take care of her son. Once a relationship is developed things then to get messy. You get ups and downs but what if promises are broken that shatter the r

Author Ashley Erin is one of my favourite and go to authors and she has confirmed her place on that list with, the wonderful, The No Bad Boy Rule. This is book 2 in the Rule series, and although continues from book 1 could be read as a standalone. Dax had worked his way into my heart at the end of book 1. I seem to be a sucker for a bad boy trying to come good. I think that Ava is the same, despite her initial reservations. Seeing Dad, and in fact all the boys in the group play with Ava's son No ...more

I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This was a cute story of two people coming back from the mistakes they have made in the past. Both Dax and Ava are trying to become better people. Dax has a past he is not proud of at all and feels like he really doesn't belong or good enough for the people around him now, especially Ava. Ava is going to school to better herself for her and her son. Both Dax and Ava fight the attraction they feel for each other, but once the spark is ignited th

Bad boys aren’t good for you or so Ava thinks in Ashley Erin’s latest release, THE NO BAD BOY RULE, book 2 of her Rule series. What Ava finds is that while bad boys are bad, they can also be so good.

It’s a standalone New Adult novel, set at a college in Canada. The characters of Ava and Dax are bruised and beaten by their life experiences. It’s an opposites attract but they find they are really more alike than they thought.

There’s plenty of humor, passion and family values along with revisits t

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Ava is a single mother trying to get her life on track. She was hurt once by someone and doesn't want that to happen again

Dax is a reformed bad boy trying to move on from his past. In order to stay focused on the future he keeps himself closed off.

This was a great story. I loved the fact that their relationship was not a conventional one. It's what made the book so good an believable. Dax and Ava were a perfect couple

I was lucky enough to received an ARC in exchange for an honest review... I mean if I thought I loved Lucas and Andie.. well Dax, Ava and Noah just stole my heart what a beautiful story about second chances, not being afraid, moving on and redeeming yourself when you thought there was no chance.. The writing was just perfect, this book made me feel exactly what the characters were feeling.. Dax grew in my heart and I love when a hero does that because it makes me engross on the story even more! ...more

Intresting blurb and it started pretty good. Dax didn't seem at all as bad boy but had dark past. Ava was understanding and accepting to everyone. But she looks clingy throughout the story. I don't know how Dax beating Ivan proved that he will not do that again if similar situation arises as he is protective in nature. Ava's habit of filling the silence was quite humorous. The whole group of friends were giving family vibes. The end was sudden and abrupt. I wanted a small peek of their future... ...more

This is the next book in the Rules series and I wasn't disappointed in the least!!! I loved loved Dax; he underestimated himself, thinking he wasn't good enough to be loved by such a sweet woman, because of his past. But Ava has her own messed up past that she isn't ready to forgive herself for either. Dax and Ava bring the best out of each other and make one another whole again.
Great Job Ashley! Thank you for allowing me to read this ARC for an honest review.

4.5 Ava + Dax Stars!
The flow of this story and the connection between Ava and Dax will have you melting in gooey mush. They both have had so much going on in their past and daily lives they deserve love and happiness, problem is them figuring out how good they are for eachother. Sometimes we don't realize it even if it's staring us in the face. And who doesn't love to tame a "Bad Boy" ;)

Such a sweet, yet steamy romance story!

He may look like a bad boy, but who knows inside they may be a good boy, or perhaps both?

I loved this book, it took a different way of approaching the usual cliches and well, made it not cliche. Five stars!

Looking forward to more from this series. I loved book #1 & 2 so far. I really hope to get a book about Ava's ex, Joe? (can't remember his name right now). I'd like to see him as part of the group. :)

The No Bad Boy Rule is the story of Ava and Dax. Theirs is a little unconventional of a love story but one that ultimately hits you in the heart. I have to admit I shed a few tears while I read this book. It definitely had its share of ups and downs but it was a great read! A solid 4 stars!
No. The asshat H chose his female best friend over the h and their relationship. I hated him for that and kinda hated the best friend for putting him in that position.

Rushed HFN ending. No epilogue. Don't see these two lasting very long.

Yes I enjoyed them very much except the part when they broke up and get back together. I wish Dax had tried harder than what he did to get Ava back.
