THE BILLIONAIRE AND THE POP DIVA is the first vol. of Eve Montelibano’s series under the same name. A short novella of about 60pages, this was an awkward, yet charmingly funny and hot read. I had to grab it after I read the blurb that caught my attentions...
“WHEN CHERRY-POPPING BECOMES SERIOUS BUSINESS...”
Umm yah the story is, indeed, about cherry popping of a hugely famous Pop Diva, who has maintained her virginity for an ‘inhumanely’ long time (or so her peers and the rest of the world would like to point out) that she’s like a unicorn... of sort. Valenna is 24 after all!
A former of Mickey Mouse Club, Valenna Jones was a household sweetheart. It was then, she and her former club members vowed to keep their chastity until married (*snort*). Predictably enough, everybody else but herself has broken that vow by the time they’d turned 18, maybe even before that. Now, for Valenna, that cherry has become, er, too big of a ‘liability’ to handle. Her ex’s all up and left one by one when they couldn’t get it to pop no matter what they did, the last one actually cheated on her with some cougar actress, breaking her heart. Valenna notes with sadness, it seems true love doesn’t exist anymore.
After the last heartbreak, Valenna decides to go about this, er... cherry popping business with the style and aplomb befitting that of a Pop Diva. She needs to change her image from the sweet girl-next-door to the sex bomb! Bidding starts soon enough, with the whole matter taking a life of its own and boosting Valenna’s popularity even more, if there was even such a thing. The plan is simple enough—she’d sell her cherry to the bidder of her liking and donate the money to her favorite charity. If only! It was supposed to be just a business like any other, until she meets the highest bidder not really knowing who he was and her womb begins vibrating like it has never before! *snickers*
Gianfranco, or ‘Giane’ as he simply introduces himself to Valenna, is no one other than the race-car tycoon, the owner of the most popular race car brand, Zoldatti. He’s obsessed with... you’re right, race cars. Other than that, he’s bored, jaded and has no idea where to spend his sh!t load of money.
It was just another boring day for Giane when just how long it has been since his last shagging (too busy with his obsession) catches up with him. It’s then the news of Valenna’s cherry popping popped up somewhere that caught his attentions. Giane thinks he can buy anything, so why not the cherry of some Pop Diva? This might actually prove to be some kinda diversion! It’s not like his money doesn’t bring women left and right to be used at his whim! Besides the thought of a cherry is giving him the boner of a lifetime, something so unexpected that Giane thinks... well, he doesn’t know what to think. Now he’s just determined to own that cherry! But what both didn’t count on was their first meeting and how oddly sweet it’d turn out to be.
I have to say, I didn’t know until the last few chapters how to react. As I said, I was shaking my head and laughing... until I thought, ok, this is good!.Who knew cherry popping can bring forth such entertainment! LOL
The story showcases the shallow lifestyle of the rich and famous rather well. Yet somehow, the author had me glued to it because I had to find out just how far things would go between Giane and Valenna. But I was disappointed to find that cherry popping was still hanging there when this vol. ends.
Oh well, on to the next... 4 stars.

Valenna Jones melelang keperawanannya di internet. Sbg diva, tidak tanggung2 pelelangan dibuka dgn penawaran $10 juta.
Dan si gila Gianne, konglomerat sekaligus pembalap tenar, yg lagi frustrasi, iseng2 membuka internet dan tertarik utk ikut penawaran ini. Parahnya, Gianne nafsu dan horny, ambisi utk memenangkan lelang sinting ini, dgn menawar $50 juta. Akankah Valenna menerima penawaran misterius ini.
Dari segi cerita lumayan unik walau lebay juga. Sampai tega nian author memasukkan nama Kim Jong Un sbg salah seorang penawar. Belum ada adegan hard-core apapun. Maklumlah, buku pertama.

Merry Popping!
New twist, old trick in the pursuit of cherry poppin'! This book is making me lose my patience! When is book two coming out?! I'm not a major fan of serialized books. I don't read them until I know it's finished. I just like the author so much, I bought the book the minute it was released. But come on, woman! Have mercy! I want to read the next one, I'm not Giane. I can't just take a shower to ease this throbbing err excitement..

I LOVED it! It was steamy, witty and kept me thoroughly amused from the first page to the last.
Who says one cannot do anything like this? Truth is, I got excited when some parts of this was posted on Ms. Eve's Fan Page (Oh hell yes, I'm a fan!) It is not an overstatement to say I’ve been waiting for this for a long while. When I read that Ms. Eve was writing a story roughly based upon the documentary entitled “Virgins Wanted”, I didn't know how she’d pull it off. Boy, did she bring it. Paperback please!
Anyways, Valenna Jones is a good girl gone wild. Your mother won't let you watch her if you are a kid-- as a matter of fact, even if you're already 36. You can compare her to Miley except that she doesn't do drugs, she was a VIRGIN and she doesn't stick her tongue out every time, she was way wittier too. She was an internet darling, which was why she used it to auction her cherry to the highest bidder.Talk about losing her V-card in the most unorthodox way. Well, she believes that everything has a price. Who would believe that the cherry that she was about to lose was being bought for 50 million dollars? YES! 50-freakin-insane-dollars.The ‘ANONYMOUS’ bidder can’t wait to claim his prize and wanted her for himself so he made a short cut. She went to see Valenna.
One look at GianeFranco she knew that he was a man she can't deny. It was very obvious that they were hot for each other.
It was an understatement to say that GianneFranco was handsome, he was a walking demi god. The 50 million dollars he paid for Valenna’s cherry didn’t even leave a dent in his bank account. WEALTHY? Very. Though, GF got some issues with being ‘second best’ at least in Valenna’s cherry (if she gives in) he was first…
I saw GianeFranco as a possessive and frustrated hero. He gets what he wants and nobody---nobody can ever be in his way. Well, except from my boyfriend Drew Arroyo. He hated him for claiming his throne. Ah, GF’s glory days were over.
Furious, he went to the villa and watched TV. Yes, it was the TV’s fault that he knew about Valenna’s insane offer. He was instantly struck by how much he wanted Valenna.
Of course, this is Ms. Eve Montelibano, so expect naughtily delightful, scorching-ly sexy, toe-curling scenes with some over the edge dirty talk from GianeFranco. Certainly not for the fainthearted.
CLIFFHANGER. Yes, I almost cried when it ended and left me craving for more. You should really read this one. I promise you won’t regret paying for it!

Goshes!! You rock my socks off Ms. Author!
This isn't the ordinary story we read everyday. Definitely no drama. Characters were well created, even their names were epic...you wont just forget them in a snap. Hilarity to the max, it had me rolling in my bed laughing. That Erin Parker Show interview with the Pop Diva was kinda amusing. Such a saucy mouthed Valenna! I enjoyed reading this intro to Giane-Valenna love affair. Hero and heroine got that BIG attitude, alpha in their own rights..., so kickass and i just love it! It just left me hanging on a cliff after the last page...but then who cares??! i got volume 2 now! LOL.
It got me rolling..and i was entertained so i give it a 5 rolling stars read!

A 72-pager full of healthy laughter and ooh-lala characters! Bahahaha!
After reading book after book after book that are bridled with intense drama, The Billionaire and the Pop Diva is refreshing change in my reading list. I was giggling almost the entire time with its celebrity-full premise and rich plot.
Could not wait for more! VOLUME 2 please!!!
