Traveling to Italy next summer adds the importance of learning Italian. I expect that if I'm traveling to a country where English is not the first language, that I learn it. It would be elitist of me to think that people there should be able to speak English. Plus, I hope to be treated better if I attempt the language, and it'll be fun to speak to others and give it a try. Only downfall to the book is that you need to have the book in front of you when listening to the audio. And it's all about memorization...thinking Rosetta Stone may make a good Christmas gift to myself!
