I have never got this far into a series without getting a bit bored (though I'm generally persistent). Not only am I nowhere near bored but I'm worried about the grieving I will do when I eventually finish the series. By the way...I hate that kid! What a creepy little effer! I'm glad Paula and Roy are staying, I'm shocked at Lani, jealous of Marcy and spellbound by Dave. Cookie keeps me laughing, along with Blowers and I love the cute toughness of Mo Mo and I feel for him! Nick and Lily are lovely together. Hope they get together soon. Love BFG, Clarence. Obviously love Howie who still reminds me of Simon Pegg. The creepy doctor in the earlier part of the story reminded me of Tim Curry and Meredith is just the best. Mr. Haywood, it is obvious you have members of your family that are Alsatians because you really bring her to life! I'm looking forward to seeing how the scientist and Gregory pan out. I almost feel sorry for Gregory with that weird kid in tow! I like Blinky and Charlie, great new characters and additions to the team! I love Reginald, I hope he finds his role. He's very clever so I'm sure he will.
Okay first I have to apologize to Mr. Haywood because I couldn't be bothered to write reviews of Day 15 and 16 after finishing them because I was in such a hurry to continue on with the story. I am currently a quarter into Day 18 and just finished reading the scene where Roy thinks he has developed diabetes and I was laughing so hard a few tears came out......and I immediately felt ashamed of myself for not taking the time to review the previous books. These. Books. Are. Awesome. Mr. Haywood has such a style of writing that just flows....his creativity is amazing....and these characters he has brought to life are truly wonderful. Please read these books, even if you hate the end of the world genre you will enjoy these books. The writing is that good. Again, I cannot thank RR Haywood enough for giving me so many hours of awesome entertainment and characters that I will never forget. How about some t-shirts for purchase on your web page or Facebook please??? I so want one!!!!
The boy really spooks me. Love this series of books so much I have to go straight on to the next. The characters all work so well together. Halfway through number 18 now
This was better than the last two days. It still drug on and the typos were excessive but the characters held my interest. Mr. Howie is getting to be annoying now with his obsession with Marcy. I don't like how he did Lani and its not even 24 hours. Zombies cornering them and he's not focused on getting to the team because he's too busy checking out Marcy. He doesn't even talk about Sarah after going through everything to get to her but failing to protect her and Lani. He's good at leading but trifling as a man. I did like the new characters and how they jumped in when needed. The other characters keep me coming back every time. I'd like to know what their goal is now if not protecting the fort. Will they just be riding around killing Zombies and what's this scientist trying to accomplish? Jess seems like the smarter one there. This is a good story but it's taking a long time coming together.
The Undead Day Seventeen The Undead #17 Sci-Fi R.R. Haywood ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The pacing was fast and I finished reading quite quickly. There were a few things happening that didn't really make sense to me but hopefully they'll become clearer in the next book.
I like how new characters join Howie's group and they become part of the team, have their own roles to play and start to bond pretty quickly.
I'm still curious about The Infection. It's constantly planning and evolving in order to capture Howie but I'd still like to get more information about it.
The ending was ok. I don't actually like the back and forth that Howie and Marcy keep having, though.
I don't even like Zombie books and I'm not sure how I even ended up reading these. There's like 20 books in the series and each one recounts the events of a single day. The characters are so well drawn and I like that they have a few moments of happiness between the horrific battles. They have some women that fight too and I can identify with them. The books get better and better as you read through the series. I highly recommend this series.
The series just keeps getting better! The author keeps the characters he developes alive. That they become meshed together as I read each book, tells me this author creates these characters to stay, not just a brief bit of the book and killed off when ideas are slow. This series is nonstop action!
I normally can take a month or more to read a book, I did this book in 3 weeks. That's how gripping it was. The undead strategy, Jimmy Carr and new additions just add so much to this brilliant series.
I can't recommend this entire series enough. The writing is so captivating, the characters so real and brought to life, the gore is top notch, and it's a bullet train ride through the zombie apocalypse from cover to cover. You won't regret this purchase.
This book was exactly what the series needed! A much needed break from the massive battles and strategic planing to just enjoy the amazing team dynamic and help to develop these already well loved characters!
The dialog is genuine laugh out loud funny, with quality banter. I loved the addition of the hockey players, especially Charlie.
Love this series . The books just get better and better. You feel like you know the characters and want to be there with them through the battles they face . A group of ordinary people facing extraordinary circumstances to stay alive
This is really an outstanding series. The characters are so well developed and the storyline keeps me reading. There are still editing errors but not nearly as many as previous 'days' had.
Not much happened that rocked me in this one. Though now the next book makes more sense that there are new group members.. I accidentally skipped this one and then went back to read it. Aftermath of Lani.. not sure what to think.. and what happened to Lilly?
This is an amazing story written by a truly gifted author. A diamond in the rough. I am very happy to have stumbled on to this great series and look forward to the next book!
Relentlessly entertaining, continuing to evolve and diverge from the original event. Still with the odd utterly bizarre moments, but overall just great fun to read,
Still enjoyable for the most part but the side characters are having too much of a build up.....yes copied and pasted from book sixteen, the "he's coming bit" is boring now, just get on with it.
I love this series of books. As soon as one finishes, I am on to the next. Love the way the story line develops & more new characters are introduced. I have great affection for all the characters except the annoying boy. He is definitely “too big for his boots”& am interested to see how his storyline develops. So far I have not lost interest as each book has new characters & situations.
I have now read 17 of the books in this series in just over a month, I pride myself on being a voracious reader at the best if times (my personal best was just under 200 books in 12 months while recovering from a major operation), but the compelling storyline of this series just gets better and better with each 'day' in the timeline.
