Ken saved Selene by using [Liminal Space] to tear out the Threadspawn from her chest only to be caught by the Harem Queen with both of them covered in blood. Thankfully, Selene survived and Ken can escape that particular problem but so many others stack up before him. To save her he had to go against the UG, which is now poised to make his life of adventuring as difficult as possible. Behind the scenes the Heirs to the founding members of the UG put Ken and Crimson in their crosshairs. While at the same time Elysara becomes the target of Drow assassins and [Eyes of Wisdom] has finally found the path to Felin's people. The only problem? It's behind thousands of Drow ready for a fight.
Born and raised in the agricultural midwest, I moved every year after school even as far as Shanghai before settling down with my wife in Chicago.
I have always enjoyed Wuxia stories and became thrilled when I discovered harem stories spreading to western books. I've written down my day dreams for years as an idle hobby. Inspired by the harem genre I'm finally fleshing them out into full blown novels.
I'm excited to share my stories with you as I turn them into novels and series.
Much better than the previous installment, the author seems to have finally woken up to the need to develop his characters and keep his readers informed. At least, that seems to be the plan with the new abilities and opportunities provided to the hero whom had been stagnating for a few episodes. The main plot also sees some notable progress, whether in the world of the Demons, the Threadspawn, and dark elves. The harem bullshit still takes up too much space in this series. If the author thinks his readers are reading it for that, he's mistaken. And regarding the LitRPG aspect, we only get one character stat sheet for the hero in the entire book, which is a bit silly, since it can't be compared to anything (so we can't see Ken's progress...). And the reader isn't going to look it up in a previous book; they have other things to do. So, it's pointless. Would it really be so complicated to put the character stat sheets at the beginning or end of the books? Apparently so.
The author has decided to simple keep adding more to this series. More harem members, more races, and more enemies. Just keep tossing them in and hope no one noticed a complete lack of development. I can't believe this is the same person who wrote Saving Supervillians.
I'm glad this series is not even close to finished
This is the longest running Bruce series to date and he plans on 5 more books. That is incredible and the series has not dulled to much so far and I continue to enjoy each new book. I'm glad we got back with the Elves and the stuff with the Threadspawn and Drow are cool. I do feel like Ken is approaching to many women and my only complaint about this book is that Selene was a weird choice as we haven't had much of an interaction with her other than the last book and I didn't feel like they really had much of a romantic connection in this one. Hopefully this relationship gets a little more fleshed out in one of the next books. I understand it's hard with so many women to give them time but so many authors lose readers with very long running series because they have the need to add a new girl every book and it just get ridiculous after a while. I can't speak for most people but I am normally more satisfied with deepening a pervious relationship then adding a new one every book. That's my opinion and as far as the rest of this book goes it was a great bridging book that accomplished many smaller arcs with some great resolutions and has set us up for the next book.
This installment lacked a cohesive storyline, making it a chore to finish. While we get another addition to the harem, the introduction felt completely out of nowhere, and the existing relationships didn't see any meaningful development. The protagonist goes full murderhobo multiple times for various reasons, and his actions rarely felt justified.
Though this wasn't a strong entry in the series, I'm still planning to see where the next book goes. ... Romance:
I have been loving jow after the first 8 books the story has moved far closer towards PvP. Almost like the dungeon wants them to fight in its depths to absorb their bodies. The fact the Harem continues growing stronger and MC now possesses a very nasty power up skill that only requires time means that eventually he will be able to stand head to head with the big nasties deeper in the dungeon. The revelation of the true big bad and them being so completely unhinged that they require complete removal was a fun twist. Hopefully we find one that CAN be redeemed but not holding my breath on that front.
DNF at 30%. I'm just done with the series. I need to get over my sunk cost fallacy and not suffer through 3 or 4 books before finally calling it quits. This isn't a story; it's not slice-of-life; it's just random crap. From the publicity tour last book, to just randomly fighting drow now, jumping back to go murderhobo on the UG and then ending up owning it because of course they just leave their share certificates lying around and finders keepers, amirite?
This book is another great entry in the series. The romance is more interesting and gets a bit more focus. The character work is well done. The world building is still good, but less focused on. The plot is split into many threads which will last through many books, but the sections in this book are compelling and set up the characters for lots of important moments.
This series is what introduced me to Bruce Sentar. His writing has continued to become better and better over time. The lore and world building are what really draw me to his books. Can’t wait for the next one in the series. Hope to see this continue to have great traction and build past college and into the greater depths of the dungeon teased. Seems like this book introduced the end game, which could potentially just be a new beginning.
This is a wonderful series - stunning characters with large personalities and even larger ambitions. The world and plot weaves so many interesting features and events that the reader is constantly captivated by new information. I highly anticipate each new book in the series and it will be a sad day when I finish the last book. So happy I have been able to read this series!
If you enjoyed previous books in the series you're going to like this one, more of everything you enjoyed in the previous books and some new and interesting powers that really add to the overall plot. I'm not going to speak about the plot because I feel it would destroy the overall suspense if you wanted to fully enjoy it..
I didn't see an alert that this one was out yet, and happened upon it, Friday night and burned right through it in just 3 days. Ken and his squad are filling out nicely with a squad of dangerous abilities and the demon hierarchy is going to be interesting when more of that unfolds and he really starts to use his incubus side.
Ken and his ladies face more challenges as their third year finishes, with the drow making a serious appearance. Several changes, too. Excellent editing. Now for the wait until the next book is done...
As the title says. Bruce keeps on rolling in with the good stuff. Sure there may be a thing here or there which I wish was a little different or better explained or done, but overall it’s another solid entry. Can’t wait for the next one.
Another amazing instalment of DD. Happy to see the grandparents back in the action. Also, a few very interesting developments which lead us ever forward. Amazing writing in this one. Already looking forward to DD304!!!
Great book and a great story. It wraps up a couple of older plot points in what I thought was a satisfactory way. It also helps get back to the roots of the story some in exploration of the dungeon. Looking forward to 304!
Love this series and am looking forward to the next read. The story flows well together and the author spends just the right amount of time on every aspect to keep the reader engaged every time.
Damn this book is just as good as all the others, and Ken got a lot of things out of the way so im looking forward to the next book becuse with two of his girl powering up it's going to be great 👍 👌 😀
This is seriously the best series. I never forget what happened last time, I genuinely like all of the characters, I’m always excited for the next one, and it never disappoints! Keep up the great work!
I still like this story there's lots of action and interaction between the players and the story. the characters are well thought out and give more entertainment both drama and funny situations. I am looking forward to more of the story.
I have read most of this authors books and enjoyed them. I highly recommend this edition 303 as he brings back some of the characters that made the series so enjoyable early on.
Dungeon Diving 101 are definitely my favorite Bruce Sentar books, ai just can’t get enough of them. Incredible characters, cool story, great world. Awesome book!
Found this instalment into this series to be a really good read. Plenty of Acton and good laughs. Really looking forward to future books keep up the good work.
