Thank you to Captured Press & Lizzy Ford for the copy of the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book I have read from Lizzy Ford and I was gripped from the beginning, it has everything I loved all put into one it was AMAZING!

The story is set in modern times where Greek Gods rule the earth and each of them has been using it as a playpen, they have caused chaos and mayhem and I loved it *squeals*. Lyssa our leading lady who has been sheltered in life acting as Bear Grylls

First of all, feast your eyes upon these sexy-ass top shelves for Omega:

Mythology and Dystopia????????

While the cover made me think of books with love triangles and Mary Sues, it had so many positive ratings that I couldn't wait to start this book!

Me after 7%:

Lyssa is the stupidest fucking heroine I ever came across. Ever.:

Oh look at me I'm so special! I'm not like those stupid nymphs covered in make-up, I wear tennis shoes and like sports! I deserve a boyfriend. I am forbidden to leave t

Okay okay. I don't know how and where to start making a review all I know is that I'm in so much need to pour my emotions out, it's overflowing!

Omega is my first Lizzy Ford book read. It is also my first Dystopian slash Fantasy slash Greek Mythology read. I can say that I'm pretty much moved by the story.

Mismatch/Adonis a grotesque by night, human by day. He used to be a cursed crowned prince, now he's a wise beast. I wanted to scream just because-oh gosh how can I be attracted to a grote

6/5 stars!
This was the first novel I have read by Lizzy Ford and boy did I fall in love, died, and went to fictional world heaven.
This story is about a modern world that is ruled by Greek gods and it is as chaotic and amazing as it sounds. I am addicted to anything dealing with Greek mythology and this book definitely fed my addiction. I need so much more of this series, like now!!!

I enjoyed a lot this reading.

The story has to do with Alessandra, a girl that lived her whole life in a forest away from the real world. With her protector, nymphs and some priests. After an explosion that wrecked her home she must survive in a place that wants to devour her powers....

She just recently learns that she is an oracle. Not fully understanding what that means, she finds her shelf in a situation where a bunch of people try to take advantage of her for their purposes.

MY THOUGHTS:

First of all I want to thank the author for sending a copy of this book for review.

Normal people aren’t prepared for their world to change or to face the trials awaiting them.

Sometimes success takes a different shape than one expects.

Your name is seared into my soul. I will always return to you.

I need to breath and gather my thoughts!

I don’t know what to say, this novel is SO FREAKIN AMAZING!!!

Amazingly written, the scenes was on point, the characters? You will love them all espec

I received Omega in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by Xpresso Book Tours. Omega is set in modern day times where Greek gods are the rules and humans are treated as the inferior people. Things are about to change now that a human girl has been born to be the last Oracle with the mark of the double omega. She’s spent her life living with the monks in the forest training, while the nymphs steal all her potential guys after all they haven’t been able to keep up with her. When ...more

I am having a hard time getting my thoughts together on this book. It made me feel so many things.

First I would recommend that you read the Omega miniseries before starting this book so you will have a better understanding of the characters. There are 6 novellas in the miniseries so far. (Alessandra, Mismatch, Phoibe, Lantos, Theodocia, and Niko) It gives you a better understanding of the characters past.

Alessandra is the Oracle of Delphi. She is the person who is meant to be the go between the

I LOVE it!!! The cover is very beautiful and befitting in every department. Let's just take some time to admire how Alessandra looks in the cover. (*solemnly meditating or whatever you call it*)

It started kind of interesting. Coz really, Alessandra's characteristic is new to me. I've read of heroines being stubborn or ignorant or geniusly genius (like June from the Legend Trilogy), but she's first to be very brave with the right amount of stubbornnes

In the beginning I was a bit surprised and weirded out by how Alessandra just walked around shrugging at the consequences and dangers.

Me: That is a high security facility with a reputation for torture so horrible people would rather be slaughtered.
Alessandra: \_(ツ)_/

Me: You know you shouldn't trust anyone. Especially not Lantos, Niko and Cleon.
They breathe. Alessandra follows.

Me: Are you sure you should do that...?

*My Thoughts*

Omega is the first installment in author Lizzy Ford's Young Adult Dystopian/Mythology series called Omega. The series features 18-year old Alessandra aka Lyssa. Lyssa has lived in an isolated orphanage run by priests ever since she was Six years old. When she was Six, Herakles, a former Olympian, rescued her after her parents died. For Twelve years, Lyssa has been under the guidance of Herakles. He has trained her and cond

I hate to say this, but I found this book quite boring. Nothing was happening. It just seems to keep on dragging and dragging. There is hardly any content in it. I fished the book in the end , but I must say I am really disappointed in it.

I finished Omega in 5 days! It was supposed to be 3 days but I have many things to do so it took me that long. First a big thank you for Lizzy Ford for trusting me her book. It means so much to me!

This is my first time reading a book of her, hence also my first time reading a Dystopian book with Greek Mythology theme. For the first couple of pages everything was vague to me since the Priest told something important to Alessandra re

The story is a mystery from the very beginning... To be honest, I thought that the book was a bit perplexing because of the fact that the plot has a classic concept set in a modern world ruled by territorial Greek gods. But as I flipped through the pages and surged forward into the journey of the characters, which also felt like my adventure, I understood the sole purpose of the author as to how she weaved the story in her preferred manner. Hands down to

I would first like to mention that if you didn’t read the pre-quels you definitely should. They add another dimension to the motives and actions of the main and secondary characters. I’m not sure if it would be peachy-keen to read this book without having read them, but I couldn’t help myself and read them all and pre-ordered the book. lol I know for certain that when Cleaon or Lantoes had a scene in the book, along with thinking that they were mega asshats, having a better understanding of how ...more

LOVED it!!! Like WOW! It was so awesome! I've been reading the mini series and I already knew the characters so it was nice to see them all grown up.
The story is full of action and surprises and you will definitely fall in love with the characters, most of them anyways. We have a few villains and they are bad, like you want to slap them silly bad.

As someone who loves to read the Young Adult genre as an adult, it's easy for me to get tired of the eye-roll worthy, over cliched structures of a majority of said genre. My search, as a YA book reviewer, is to find stories that go above and beyond to break away from those over-cliched structures dominating the store bookshelves. It's always refreshing to come upon such a story and Omega is included in such.

It's been a bit since I've read a book so unique with an attention-grabbing plot, wonder

One of the most TSTL protagonists I have ever read about.

She knows no fear. First of all, she's always so quick to point out how capable she is at everything. Ever heard of hiding your talents to better surprise people and therefore get the better of them in the future? She also thinks it wise to walk into a heavily fortified compound with nothing but her "capabilities." No plan. Just "Hey, I'm gonna walk in, do what I have to do, and I'm sure I'll get out again sometime!" Also, she has t

What a journey! If you have read any of the Omega Beginnings serials, you have an idea of the events that took place twelve years before this one takes place. I LOVE the fact that you get to see how the decisions from those books play a part into the lives of the characters in this one. That being said Lizzy always creates a world for me to submerge myself into and this one is NO different. The characters she creates always seem to tug at my heart. This is one of those stories you will hate to love, and love a lot. The depressing and heart-ripping drama that is Alessandra's life is written out in this book, simple and bared for your reading pleasure. You know not to care, you know that if you do it's going to suck when the inevitable crap happens but you can't help it. There is no lie. What a creative story! I was intrigued from the beginning to end. You have a young female, Alessandra, that carries the fate of the human and Gods world at her hands. There is very few she can trust and so much she needs to learn. As a reader, you are constantly guessing who is good and who is evil. Alessandra is very powerful yet at the mercy of so many. I kept finding myself angry on her behalf every time someone tries to use her for their own gain. Then there's the bond between Alessandra and ...more

I have really mixed feelings about this one, it's not a bad book but it managed to piss me off. Let me explain, it's probably due to my control freak nature the fact that the protagonist has no control whatsoever over anything that happens in her life and she's basically being manhandled by a bunch of selfish a**holes pisses me off. I actually like Alessandra and Mismatch they are great, strong and intelligent capable of amazing things. Alessandra is a girl with a backbone she has the training t ...more
