The Miseducation of the Zombie by Timothe Davis starts off with an education for the reader in order to set the stage for what is to come in this unique and morally questionable novel. There are massive plays on words, tongue in cheek writing, and general mayhem that makes this story enticing and humorous. The author begins with an explanation of the types of characters to be found within the story, nymphs, fairies, zombies, vampires, lagoon creatures, a few actual humans here and there, and oth ...more

The humorous zombie apocalypse is coming

This is a great story about zombies, vampires, werewolves, and so much more. Written as a way out futuristic story where there are a variety of these childhood monsters living around the country and norms have the option to apply to be turned into one of the sects. When zombies start showing up and continue to increase, they are faced with controlling a zombie apocalypse. Will they take control and save the world or will zombies roam the lands and rule lik

`Zotox is 40% Botox, 40% embalming fluid, and 20% all-natural ingredients made specifically for dry Zombie skin. FDA recommended'

Texas author Timothe Davis is also a `music critic, editor, lover of life, music, and peace'. He has a passion for life and a feisty healthy sense of humor. His debut novel SOMETIMES YOU GOTTA LAUGH won friends in readers who love to explore the absurdities of real life. In this, his second novel, THE MISEDUCATION OF THE ZOMBIE, he takes us into another world removed f

"The first page opener that “We may have different religions, different languages, different colored skin. But we all belong to the human race.” was brilliant and a foreshadowing of things to come. When the next page referenced “Tweet-A-Pedia” and gave a brief overview of the United Federations, I knew I was hooked. Timothe Davis, the author, effortlessly wove humor and the more somber undercurrent of prejudice into this novel. The novel opened immediately with a monstrous revolution and Davis q ...more

It was the mixture of paranormal creatures that caught my attention in this book. I was also intrigued by the idea of turned zombies popping up and attacking people. This all sounded different from the usual zombie novels I've read that are about post-apocalyptic disease spreading across the nation, so I thought I'd give it a go.

However, whilst all of that sounded interesting, unfortunately I had a hard time with this book. It was a quick read, but I found the writing style difficult to connect

In the far-flung future, it is widely known that there are zombies, werewolves, and vampires running around. The only thing that is stopping people from being turned into monsters left and right is?! RED TAPE! No, that's not some new superhero with the power of bureaucracy; The Bureau of Reassignment handles everyone's "transition" from human to something else. Extensive testing, therapy, permits, and injections are needed before you make this big leap in today's world, but there is a rash of un ...more

The Miseducation of the Dead, has a unique take on the kitchen sink modern fantasy.
One thing I really liked about this book was that in the beginning things were explained. We learned about the country, how it was set up, the different types of people and creatures who lived there, and a few other details. It wasn't necessary, and a lot of it could have been explained in the story, but it was nice going into the story knowing the basic background and not wasting time with “As you know Bob...”

The Miseducation of the Zombie is a book by Timothe Davis that explores a different type of realm in the world – one where all kinds of creatures are living amongst humans. There are zombies, werewolves, vampires, gremlins, fairies, and well, you get the idea.

You're not supposed to turn someone but it is happening and may just lead to the zombie apocalypse if we're not careful and that's where Vic comes in. It's his job to make sure that doesn't happen all while taking care of his own problems.
