The Silence Below

The deeper the waters, the darker the secrets.

Three years ago, Oscar "Oz" Locke quit his lucrative job at his father's successful seafood manufacturing company, severing their relationship so he could escape Milo's shadow.

After his mother's unexpected death, Oz is called back to his parents' semi-private Caribbean island, Tripana, the last place he ever wanted to be again. He soon realizes he's not the only person there who hates his father. Nichole, the sole remaining neighbor, refuses to sell her property to Milo, no matter how much he offers or how much he presses.

When Nicole's friends are involved in a deadly diving accident, Oz and Nicole are drawn into a web of deceit tied to Milo's business, and they discover secrets that could ruin the whole company and Milo's reputation. Secrets that may be worth drowning for.

The Silence Below is an aquatic thriller that will have you hooked.
Oz returns to Tripana Island for his mother's funeral. He's told she committed suicide, though he doesn't believe it. He's never had a great relationship with his father though and he suspects something isn't right. He makes a friend on the island named Nicole, but as Oz and Nicole begin to dig, what they find is something literally out of this world. Bodies are turning up, secrets are being revealed, and huge discoveries are being made.
The story was really entertaining and really well written. I really enjoyed it. I don't want to say what discovery is.... but it's huge. I just can't get behind eating it. Me and my kids are going back and forth.. like, is that considered cannibalism? I don't know. lol. But the story will have you on the edge of your seat. Suzi does a wonderful job of writing stories that grip you from beginning to end. I recommend giving this a read!

Suzi does it again! I have not read a book of hers that I did not enjoy! I love how she will have you thinking you know what’s going on and then takes you on a rollercoaster and you end up not knowing where up or down is. I really enjoyed this book and if you’re considering reading ANY of her books I highly recommend! Can’t wait to see what else she writes!

Oz (short for Oscar) comes to his parents’ island home for the funeral of his mother who allegedly died by suicide. He has to see his dad again, whom he’s “low contact” with, after having walked away from the family business to work as a truck driver. Did his mom really kill herself? Was she divorcing his dad? What nefarious things is Oz’s dad up to on the island? Can Oz and his dad ever fix their relationship? Read to find out!

A fun aquatic thriller that will keep you on the edge. Suzi brings us Oz, who has to return to the small island town after his mother has died. He had left to get away from his father and out from his influence. Upon returning he discovers that his father has more secrets and these are the kind that can cause serious problems. The writing is sharp and tight. The characters are engaging and fun to follow. The plot is tense and suspenseful. I can't wait to see what Suzi has out next.

There something going on Tripana Island. Oz came to the island for his mother’s funeral. Than a couple was attacked while out Scuba diving in the caves. Oz suddenly gets pulled into the mystery of the island. Will he survive or be another victim?

Buckle up for this wild read. I didn’t expect all the twist and turns. Highly recommend if you like aquatic thrillers.
