I must say, I keep finding my thoughts returning to The Rose Master when I think of previous books I've read and reviewed this year. While it didn't live up to my expectations in some points, the overall feel and 'aftertaste' of the novel is sweet. I hope this second book ups the game - something Cano is more than capable of doing.

Well, it has been over 2 years since I read the first one, The Rose Master, but I was able to get back into this story pretty quickly, as the way it was begun brought up most of the details in such a way that it wasn't like an info dump, but rather woven into the story perfectly. Of Bells and Thorns is a beautifully written novel that will give you chills and feels as the story sucked you in with its interesting and enjoyable sweet ride toAnne and August's journey.

The author never failed to amaze me with her writing style. It's like a lullaby, but instead of sleeping, it will lead you to read more words and pages of this book. She keeps the narration simple and creates a character that lets them tellstheir stories. I like this second book better than the first one. I

I imagine second, follow-up novels are always difficult to write for fear of extending a perfectly good story to the point of exhaustion. Not so with Of Bells and Thorns, which picks up the story of Anna and August from the 5 star rated The Rose Master and takes them to London for further challenge and conclusion.

As with The Rose Master, the story’s pace, detail and descriptive metaphors make it an easy and extremely satisfying read. Of Bells and Thorns takes their adventures to a higher level
