Three stars is it.
What a disappointing ending. I read and read and read waiting for that scrumptious punch in the stomach that keeps me swiping and swiping and swiping. Nope, not there. Never came. I gave three stars instead then said it was intelligently written book. Did keep me challenged enough to keep me reading to the end.

I was hooked on detective stories early on. They remain my comfort reads. I've always preferred closed circle mysteries that kept the characters confined until the crime was solved (or everyone died). I liked it when the setting had a creepy vibe and a ghastly history.
