Two New York Times bestselling author styles come together for Dark Paranormal Romance + Urban Fantasy = a yummy Brief-Bites novelette.
Narah awakens in captivity. She's escaped the final lash from a sadistic Magistrate meant to teach her temperance, only to find that her sentence was not meant to be a lesson, but an execution.
Matthews discovers the truth of Hunter leadership, and with an uncertain end goal he determines to follow his heart, though that decision might cost him his life.
Aeslin has exposed his race by removing Narah in plain sight. With the blood clock ticking down the minutes of Narah's life; she turns or she will die.
What will happen when both Matthews and Aeslin discover the real motive behind the lashes?
Vampire is 11,500 words, and is the fourth volume of six episodic novelettes in the ALPHA CLAIM serial.
Tamara Rose Blodgett: happily married mother of four sons. Dark thriller writer. Reader. Dreamer. Beachcombing slave. Zero Carb enthusiast. Maker. Affordable Fashion chick.
She is also the NEW YORK TIMES and USA Today bestselling author of A TERRIBLE LOVE, written under the pen name, Marata Eros, and 75+ other novels - to include her #1 bestselling TOKEN (dark romance), ROAD KILL MC (thriller), DRUID (erotica), and DEATH (dark fantasy/sci-fi) serials. Tamara writes a variety of dark thrillers in the genres of erotica, fantasy, horror, romance, sci-fi and suspense. She splits her time between the Pacific NW and Mazatlán Mexico, spending time with family, friends and a pair of disrespectful dogs.
After releasing three books with Simon & Schuster (A TERRIBLE LOVE, A BRUTAL TENDERNESS and THE DARKEST JOY) Tamara is a Hybrid Author of both Traditional and Self-published work.
On the edge of death, Narah has been whipped within an inch of her life and Narah’s time is running out. Can she be healed in time and what is the lesser of two evils? She is now faced with the decision of becoming a vampire or sterile.
Matthew and Aeslin are both drawn to Narah but what happens when their worlds all collide. You'll have to read Vampire: Alpha Claim 4 to find out.
Once again, the combination of Blodgett and Eros provides a high velocity, nail biting episode in the Alpha Claimed adventure. Bloody and dark of Eros with the snark and wit of Blodgett, we are treated an ingenious tale of vampires, druids and all the magic and mayhem that comes with it.
Left hanging once again, the storytelling has a weekly serial flare…keeping us anxiously awaiting for the next installment.
Narah has barely survived her lashings, thanks to Aeslin risking exposure by taking her mid-punishment. But Narah was not supposed to survive her punishment and may not, yet, unless Matthews and Aeslin can come to an accord before it’s too late. Is it possible this beautiful hybrid is meant for both men? Would she rather die than be become a vampire? Is Matthews’ alternative any better? Time is running out, one drop at a time, will anyone be safe if she dies?
Two styles, two best-selling authors, all wrapped up in one mind, both blending together with the perfect essence of urgency, danger and revelations. Tamara Rose Blodgett and her darker half, Marata Eros have done it, one more time, bringing another brief bite from the world of vampires. This slice had me right there, blood around, and a damaged and dying Narah so near, with me wanting to exact revenge for her. And then…to be continued…better than a soap opera, I have time to make up my own continuation filled with what-ifs, until the next installment arrives from these amazing story-tellers!!
I received this copy from Tamara Rose Blodgett, or was it Marata Eros....in exchange for my honest review.

I've become some kind of vamp nympho. 5 GOLD FANGS
All my life I've been Narah. I do what I must to survive. Two men, one fate. Which will I choose? WOW! This is one helluva ALPHANTASTIC Vampire Alpha Claim and a half!! Times two!! Part 3 was nerve wracking, but this one is the most "OH MY GOD!"! I ABSO-FANGING-LUTELY CANNOT believe just how much I love, Love, LOVE this part of the story/serial!!! Everything I was waiting for, all of the questions I had, all of the dreams I had were not only materialised, answered, addressed and realized but done in ways I never imagined!! Sorry!! Not saying anymore because I feel that out of EVERYTHING & EVERY PART before, this one is the one that changes it all!! Tamara not only surprised me, but she did so in the best of ways possible!! And the way it ends? All I can say is I want to be Narah! She has a warrior's heart. I realize with a thawing detachment that mine beats only for her.
I have actually already read this serial & reviewed it based on the serial as a whole, so for more thoughts on this part – and all others – please check out my overall review on the Vampire (Alpha Claim Box Set Eps. 1-6). (Sorry! I can’t provide links!)
YAY!!!We get to find out who took her from the room she was receiving the horrific lashes from. Another action packed adventure!!!!!! Also the sexiest of the serial so far. Narah and Aeslin have a real lustful connection.
I loved Narahs fight even though she was in incredible pain she managed to try and kick ass.
Definitely one of the funniest installments of the series, I am loving the Turning banter between Edon and Narah.
The twists and turns in this one leave your head spinning and pining for the next installment of the series, who will she choose does she have to choose. Will Hunter stay alive will the real Villain please stand up.
Love Love Loved this installment and I wait with bated breath for April so I can carry on with this much loved serial!!!.
I will most definitely be continuing on with this series.
I received Book 1 free for an honest review. I have to admit, when I realized that each book was basically a chapter and when you finished each book you had an incomplete story, I bought books 2 and 3. Even more stupid than that, I bought the set that included books 1-6. I just wanted to get the whole story. The worst part of it was the Narrator. She was HORRIBLE. I will never listen to her again. She almost made my stomach sick. Too many pauses. Reading too stilted. Characters' voices were ridiculous. The only voice that was half good was Narah's. About the story, I'm not really sure it was good either. The ending was predictable. It was actually very immature. Could have been written with a little more depth to the characters. I got so confused with the characters that I didn't get the details of the story. I will not put myself through that pain again.
Well....I'm not a prude by any means, but I can honestly say that I wasn't prepared for the one female/two alpha male combination. It was harder to get through this book than the previous 3. I couldn't wrap my mind around it and I always felt like one of the hero's wasn't getting proper attention by the author. It also seemed like Narah's personality kind of changed along with the introduction of this twist.
This is getting way more interesting.... Eeeek! from the first pages you want to know what is going on and what will happen... this is a short story. quick and easy and finger licking page turner; stuck and forget about your real life obligations. lol... but because it's that good. Love this installment...
