What a fantastic book on Calvin's doctrines of Word and Sacrament. There is so much here. He shows conclusively, via an avalanche of quotes from Calvin, that Christ is the center of the Old, as well as the New, Testament, that baptism is our ingrafting into Christ, the basis for our union with Christ, the mortification of the Old Man, the remission of sins, and so forth. Very glorious stuff, and interesting in the light of current Reformed controversies like the Federal Vision.

Excellent. Coming from a Catholic background this book was especially helpful in clearing my views on the Sacraments. Also, it truly struck me with the importance of the Word.
