Really fun read. Watching the two MC dance around their attraction was well done. Gemma has a knack for infusing her stories with all the senses and of course this didn’t fail. Overtime I walk in to our local Fresh Market now, with all the flowers, I’m drawn back to Mal’s shop. Strong characters and plenty of twists and turns.

Fabulous Read.

This romance has so many intriguing elements to it. Malin is a florist who is working hard to build her business when she discovers the mother who abandoned her so many years ago has now passed away and left her as the guardian to a fifteen-year-old sibling she never knew she had. Malin is also secretly taken by a customer who captures her attention, even though he regularly purchases flowers from her for one woman after another.

Expect some twists and turns along the way as Malin’s

Gunnar is definitely one dream man! I think I fell in love with him a little, too. Okay, maybe I fell in love with the fantasy (I’m not giving up my sweetie!). Now, if this story had a hint of danger (like her previous ones did), it would have been perfect. I received this book free from the author for an honest review (even though she KNOWS how I review), but I also agreed because, frankly, I didn’t want to wait until it came out on April 7th! Haha! Yeah, I’m a fan of this series and recommend ...more

Awesome Read!
This was a heartfelt & touching story. The angle of dealing with an alcoholic family member hit home to me. I loved getting to know Malin and even Gabi (I ended up liking her more than I thought I would), and of course Gunnar. This was very well written with characters that felt like people you would know back home. I really enjoyed watching the relationships develop. Another absolutely great book by Gemma!

With this book the series comes to an end–except for a couple of novellas–and it’s still as good as it was. Here the main theme is floral, with Malin being a florist right around Valentine’s Day. Hence lots of metaphores about flowers. I really loved that in the series, and was happy to see it again in this book.

The story follows Malin, a friend of the Kerrigans and Jem, and Gunnar, Rikki’s brother, who’s in charge of the local gym. The man loves to send flowers, and that’s how they know each ot

Book 4 of the five senses series brings us to the sense of smell. Malin Eckert is a florist who love to create beautiful things. Gunner Sims is everything Malin craves but he buys flowers for a different women every week. I am glad Gunner received his own story. He was such a great character in the last book and deserved to have his tale told. Ms. Brocato has a way of pulling you in to her storyline and making you feel as if you have known the characters for a really long time. She carefully ent ...more

This book definitely falls into the ‪must read‬ category! Gemma knows how to reach into your soul & pull emotions to the surface. She has such a way with words, her stories flow so smoothly. It's also obvious she believes in love, but she gives us enough of a mystery to keep us in suspense, impatiently trying to get through the conflicts to see how things play out. Her books are of the sort that leave you with such emotion bubbling around, you aren't entirely sure how to formulate the words to a ...more

In this 4th installment of the 5 senses series we wonder away from the brothers for a bit. Malin the beautiful florist and wedding planner is the center of attention. Again Gemma writes a wonderful story with all kinds of twists and turns. Lots of surprises, heart ache, love and drama. There is a bit of mystery added to the mix. All of these books can be read as a stand alone, but I suggest you start at the beginning and get each persons story. I can not wait for the next book as there is still ...more

review is from: Bed Of Roses (The Five Senses Series Book 4) (Kindle Edition)

I've really enjoyed reading this story. Contemporary romance with a bit of drama to overcome in each book. Bed of Roses does not disappoint. This story flows nicely making a can't put it down read.
Gunner is a big muscled ladies man, or is he. Malin is a heartbroken woman whose mom abandoned her when she was 12, her dad became a heavy drinker. Both very likable characters. Add in a snarky grieving teen and you have a gr

I have to say that I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. And I am lucky that I was selected. I'm not going to go into plot details and ruin the story. I just want to say that Brocato has a gift for words. She paints a lovely, emotion filled picture that moved me. I felt the emotions of every character. She led me on a up and down ride. Her characters are real and vividly described. The story is realistic. Tons of romance, some heat and a touch of humor make this a love ...more

Fabulous read! I loved the chemistry between Mal and Gunnar. Gemma Brocato is a talented author who puts you in the action, feeling what the characters feel, seeing what they see and crafting a wonderful, must read novel. It's poignant depiction of not only the happy side of life but also brings real world problems, a broken hearted father who turns to the bottle to drown his woes, an orphaned sister she didn't know she had until the child was thrust upon her, make this an interesting tale. 4.5 stars! Charmed once again by Granite Pointe and its characters.

The books in this series, while being standalone within the series, are like going back to your home town and visiting with friends and family when read in order. I always seem to be up all night reading them because I can’t bear to put them down.

In this latest story, the reader is introduced to one of the local business owners, florist Malin, and reacquainted with secondary character Gunner from book three, Exposed to Passion. W

Another great read from Gemma! I love this series. It has become one of my favorites that I read this year...and I've read a lot!!

This one is based on the sense of Smell. So far we had Sight, Sound, Taste and Smell. The next one then must be Touch. My guess it will have to do with a massage therapist or someone like that...but we shall see.

All of the books in this series deals with a real life issue. This one being where a teenager has lost both of her parents and must go live with a sister that

I love this book. It is a must read book. I love reading series. Seeing a character from a previous book and learning more about them warms my heart. We met Gunnar Sims when we first met his sister, Rikki, in Book # 3, Exposed to Passion. I love seeing what Rikki and Sam are up to, but you must read the book to find out!! Oh, you will want to read it to find out, too. It is good!!

Malin Eckert has been through a lot. Her mother, Harriett, left her and her dad when she was 12 years old. I kept thi

The Five Senses series is like a beautiful bouquet of romance and Bed of Roses adds another layer to it. It is great to be able to continue with the characters and watch them as they work through issues and grow up. The love of family shows itself in different ways throughout this story and you find out that things you thought you knew and understood were not as they seemed. Malin is such a strong woman and I love how she has her strong side, but then allows her vulnerable side to show through. ...more

Book four in Gemma Brocato’s Five Sense series is my favorite to date (though trust me, they’re all good). Not only does it have a delicious romance with a hunky hero and a strong heroine, but it also has an extremely well done secondary plot involving the heroine and the teenaged sister she didn’t know she had. I enjoy reading romance, but I enjoy it so much more when the author includes a meaty plot that involves more than H/h meet, fall in love, and face obstacles on the road to an HEA.

Bed of Roses was a wonderful small town story. Malin is a self-sufficient modern-day woman with her hands full between running her own flower shop and trying to keep her father sober, and then inherits a 15-year-old surprise out of her rocky past. Gunnar is the new owner of a local gym with all sorts of financial hurdles built into his new business, but the biggest of them all becomes winning Malin's heart. Lovely story, terrific HEA. The perfect weekend read! ...more

Gemma's favorite desk accessories for many years were a circular wooden token, better known as a 'round tuit,' and a fortune from a fortune cookie proclaiming her a lover of words; some day she'd write a book.
