Thrust once again into the magical world of Sandorg War College, we pick up right where the previous book left off.

Auri and Zane made some shocking discoveries which we learn about in more detail. There is certainly more than meets the eye and not everyone is as they initially seemed.

The story is action packed, full of adventure, intrigue and twists that kept me guessing throughout. I thoroughly enjoyed the multiple POV’s, it was great to read things from Zane’s perspective.

“I believe peace is a lie we tell ourselves between wars. I just plan to make the next one worth surviving.”

Loved the dynamic between Auri and Zane. While a complete bada** in his own right, Zane supports Auri as she is forced to traverse the whole new world of shadow welding and dragon riding! Their chemistry is absolutely smoking 🔥🔥🔥 at times, however it doesn’t detract from the story which kept me on my toes throughout. Auri continues to learn more about herself, growing in confidence throughout. I love her bond with Esme, who is a hilarious character. Their banter had me chuckling out loud at times!

Some epic discoveries which I have so many questions about! Really can’t wait to read the next one in the series! I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book from the author. Bring on the next one!

I read Black Wing and Shadows and immediately was left wanting more! I couldn’t wait and I am so thankful that I was able to read Of Siphons and Shadows early. Of Siphons and Shadows had the same effect I read it in 2 days and am DYING to know where the story is going to go and can’t wait for book 3!

The characters feel real and it’s written with genuine emotion that draws me in and invests me in their growth and stories. The story line isn’t just a fantasy, it’s a love story and a mystery all at the same time. I am curious, excited and hopeful for Auri’s character and her story.

The intense and sometimes moody vibe of the story, stacked character identities, and Auri’s current challenges of controlling her powers without letting them control her, figuring out who she is, and trying to maintain her relationship with Zane make the story amazing.

I highly recommend this series! If you loved fourth wing and are looking for a similar vibe with splashes of other fantasy genres and added main character challenges I would pick up a copy of this series!

We get shifters, witches, dragon riders, and shadow magic all colliding in a world that feels alive, dangerous, and constantly shifting. Auri’s journey in this one is all about stepping into who she really is, and that comes with consequences, secrets, and some painful truths.

The themes of betrayal and identity run deep. You’re constantly questioning who to trust, and the story does a great job of revealing things at just the right pace to keep you hooked.

What stood out most for me was how accessible this felt. Even as book two, it didn’t feel confusing or overwhelming I was able to follow along and fully enjoy the story without feeling lost.

There’s also a strong emotional undercurrent here. Growth isn’t easy, and this book doesn’t pretend it is.

✨ magic with edge
✨ secrets that unravel slowly
✨ tension that keeps building

Huge thank you to J.L. Rosenauer for the ARC so grateful for the chance to read this early. All opinions are my own.

J. L. Rosenauer does it again. The second book of the Sandorg Chronicles did not disappoint. Step into an epic fantasy read with lovers and their strong bond!

Auri and Zane’s bond is amplified in this book. Auri learns more about her family’s past in turn learning more about herself and who she really is.

Parts of this book had me on the edge of my seat and I was gasping at times. Zane’s power literally left me shocked.. and his POV throughout the book is ✨chefs kiss✨ A love like Auri and Zane’s is unmatched, I could read about it for hours.

The ending of this book literally broke my heart.. I felt so many emotions. Definitely a 5 ⭐️ read for me.

I was lucky enough to receive an early copy of this book, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. This second installment continuing Auri and Zane’s story was an easy five-star read for me.

I really loved the academy setting, and the way both Auri and Zane’s abilities continue to develop felt natural and well done. The story builds beautifully, leading up to an epic final battle and a heartbreaking twist that had me feeling all the emotions.

The banter between the characters was another highlight. It had me genuinely laughing at times and made me even more attached to them. Overall, this is a thrilling, engaging read that kept me fully invested and eager to see what happens next.

If you enjoy mythical creatures, a strong FMC, and a heartfelt love story, I highly recommend picking this one up.

J.L. Rosenauer did it again!! So thankful I was given this as a beta arc reader. Phenomenal book! The ending had me in literal tears.
Zane is just the man Auriella needed. The ending with G also checking in on her was the perfect timing. Five stars all around.
