I was just frustrated and annoyed the whole way through. First off, they have sex right off the bat and without even exchanging two words. That's what I would expect from a purely erotic/porn novel. The H literally smells that she's his mate and walks up to her, takes her inside the house, and starts attacking her zipper. Isn't that just so romantic?

Then he's ridiculously pleased that she's a virgin and that he is her only lover. Gah! I hate that!

So, he takes her home and

When Rochelle Paige told me that she was going to write a spin off from the Black River Pack Series, two thoughts were running through my mind. First, I was a bit sad to say goodbye to the Tate brothers and secondly, I was curious if Ms. Paige could pull me into liking the story-line of a bear shifter romance. And I must say, I found myself en

Bear the Consequences is a fast paced, short story about a man determined to get revenge for the evil done to his sister and his mate who just wants to be loved.

Alasdair hates the Woulffe Pack for ignoring his sister while she was with them and turning a blind eye to the pain she was going through. When he goes to confront the Alpha he gets the shock of his life in finding his mate, the daughter of the man he hates.

Finley grew up as the protected daughter of the Alpha of Woulffe pack. All she wants in life is to find

Rochelle has a way with making me swoon then I'm mad then swooning all over again. Hands down best groveling by a hero I've read in a long time. Totally safe and yummy.

I was so excited when I heard that Rochelle Paige was writing a spin off from her Black River Pack series. I've always been a sucker for the paranormal and with Rochelle's trademark hotness?? Amazing reading!

I loved that we got to visit with some of the old characters like Annora and Parker, along with their siblings.

Bear the Consequences tells the story of Annora's brother Alasdair as he finds his mate while at the same time seeking revenge for the way that Annora was treated by th

This was not the best shifter book but it was not the worst. I thought the hero was a complete ass and he was not very alpha to me at all. He kept his life the same and when it was convenient for him he would f@&$ her. Really?! They are fated mates right? I thought it was ok but he had no really reasons for his behaviour and she was too much of a saint not to say anything. Even when he comes home drunk smelling like a whore she slept with him?!? I was soooo mad that I couldn't image this hap ...more

This is the first book in the McMahon Clan series.

I love this series and it's just the beginning...This series follows the Black River Pack Series continuing with Annora's Bear family, her father Carrick and siblings.. triplets Alasdair, Braden and Camden.

After the birth of Parker and Annora's baby girl Kyla, her bear family take off to her previous Pack to confront those responsible for the pain she endured.

Little does Alasdair imagine he is going to bump int

This was almost perfect!!! I say "almost" because I would have really loved if Alasdair would've shifted and went all bear on someone...that would've made this story perfect.

Everything in Bear the Consequences picked up right where Parker and Annora's story ended, the McMahon Clan wanting revenge on the pack that in their ignorance allowed Annora to be abused. But before they can move towards effe

Gah! From Wolves to Bears, Rochelle makes them all swoon worthy!!!

I personally recommend reading the Black River books first, as there is a bit of crossover. But I loved that it's crossed. These men are to die for!!!

Letting Go

Alasdair never thought about taking a mate, he along with his brothers raised by their father. There mother never hung around. They were loved and cherished.

Discovering they have a sister they knew nothing about shocked them all including their father who had no clue.

It’s here the story follows from The Black River Pack. The resentment they hold towards the Alpha of the pack that their sister belonged too. They felt he should have known what was happening.

When Alasdair first spots Finley his

When I reading Annora and Parker’s story in Thrown to the Wolves and was introduced to the McMahon family of alpha bears, I messaged Rochelle Paige and told her I needed to read their stories as well because there was just something about them right from the onset that pulled me in and wanted to know more. When she messaged me back that she indeed had plans to write their stories, I was ecstatic, and I’m even more so now after finishing Alasdair’s story!

ARC REVIEW

That woman does it again! The McMahon Clan is a spin off of the Black River Pack. I won this ARC in a contest thrown by Rochelle Paige. I was very excited for this book to come out; when the bear shifters were first introduced in Thrown to the Wolves I hoped they would get their own books. I was not let down. A great intro to the clan and the McMahon's lifestyle.

This is such a fantastic start to a new series “ McMahon Clan”/Fated Mates”. You have the bears McMahon wanting to avenge how their daughter that they just found after how she was treated by her family. In this process, Alasdair McMahon is ready to take revenge on all who hurt his sister. While he is seeking to do this, he runs into his mate who happens to be a part of his sister’s old wolf pack.
Finley Woulffe is the alpha wolf’s daughter, and she is very sheltered. She is protected and loved.

I was gifted an ARC for an honest review! It is so exciting that Rochelle Paige is doing a spin off from her Black River Pack Series. Now we have the Bears and oh my she has out done herself with them. Alasdair is one of the triplets and is definitely an alpha. He is strong, sexy and very determined to set the record straight with how Annora (his sister) was treated when she was young. What Alasdair didn't expect along his journey was Finley. Finley is a strong character and has the blood of an ...more

After reading the Black River Pack trilogy, I had to get this as soon as possible. I loved it and can't wait for the next book. Rochelle has a talent for writing about shifters and taking you into their world. If you haven't read the first series I would recommend getting them! One of my favorite shifter series!

Alasdair is a bear-shifter with Alpha blood running strong in his veins. Being from a small pack with no true mates, he's never had the opportunity to see what the big deal is

I received this ARC for a honest review. This author is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Such detailed writing and excellent story lines.

Finley is the daughter of the Alpha and is treated like a princess all of her life. She is such a great character and really puts her heart into everything she does.

Alasdair is really self center and set on revenge for his sisters mistreatment. When he first meets Finley, he mates and marks her immediately, only to ignore her needs.

This novella contains all the quick hits (tropes) found in longer books - H's family want or seek revenge for lack of protection of one of their own while living with another shifter pack; h has been protected all her life by loving family (with alpha pack Dad); H/h meet not realizing they are "enemies" and are fated mates; H takes h for granted; etc.

However, this is very short - not even 100 pages, so if you want depth and backstory - you might want to look elsewhere or accept this

I liked this book tho not as well as the wolf books it was a spin off from but in truth I just didn't like Alasdair as well as the other hero's Rochelle has written. Alasdair was a bit colder and didn't treat her as well as the heros in the other books do but this didn't turn me off from the book seeing as you are told in the earlier series that he is raised with his dad that had been burned in the past and didn't grow up seeing a happy mated pair. Can't wait for the next one tho and I love Roch ...more

Oh my! I do love these bears, I have loved Alasdair since we met him in Thrown to the Wolves. There were moments (quite a few of them) when I wanted to reach through the book and smack him upside his head. But he turned out to be a great mate. And Finely, well I hated the transition she had to go through, but ultimately loved her strength to stand up to her mate. If it is written by Rochelle Paige, I will read it. I just wish the thee books were longer then novellas, because I love them and want ...more

Even though you don't have to read the other series to start this one, I think it would be helpful. There were so many characters and a background I didn't know about.

Still....I liked the story very much.

I absolutely loved this book.

I dont think there's a book Rochelle Paige has written that I don't like. But I loved meeting Finley. She is just an amazing woman. And she certainly took Dair and turned his angry butt around. Lol

Bear the Consequences is a shifter erotic romance. It follows Finley and Alasdair. It is an insta-love romance, but they are shifters, they don't need to wine and dine. No, shifters sense their mate and that's it. I have come to like and expect that from this genre. Alasdair falls for the daughter of the man he seeks vengeance upon. Alasdair's sister, Annora, was harmed during her stay in Finley's pac
