I discovered a signed copy of this book at a book fair. I enjoyed the author’s narrative about his painting journey and the artists that have inspired him just as much as the techniques and tips on painting atmospheric landscapes. A large selection of his own paintings have been beautifully reproduced in the book. It is a joy to read and look at. It is a book I shall no doubt often return to.

Excellent report on outstanding, current British plain wire watercolorist, albeit in canonical how-to format. About 130 approximately 9x12-inch pages. Decent color reproductions. Usual discussion of what paints, what brushes, etc. Of course it's futile to pursue watercolor skill by copying a master's toolbox, but hope springs eternal. An excellent way to enjoy viewing his extraordinary paintings, most seemingly done en plain aire. Perhaps with his Wapping Group of Artists. Very highly recommended.
