Elizabeth Lancaster is settling down in her domestic life as a wife and mother. With Cain by her side, Lizzie attempts to put the previous year behind her. But the darkness won’t let her rest. It constantly reminds her that change is coming. Still she he finds solace in her human world and her new life, unaware of the powder keg she, her family, and friends are sitting on. Her father tells her to follow her instincts and not to be afraid of what she cannot explain. Lizzie’s human world is beginning to merge with the Night World. The time has come for the Plan to begin and The Three Crowns to start coming together. But many obstacles still remain for Cain, Rob, and Lizzie. Sonya grew up in Southeast Missouri; home of the Throwed Rolls, high cotton, and the Cards. She has two kids and a grandbaby.
Sonya currently works full-time as an Administrative Assistant, with every free moment dedicated to her family and her current project, The Three Crowns series, a seven-novel paranormal romance. The first installment, Sweet Tea, was published in October 2013.
Sonya's books are in several libraries in Southeast Missouri and are carried by MKay in Benton, Missouri.
My favorite book of this series thus far! There are some major events that happen to the Lancaster "family" in Absolution. Sonya does a phenomenal job making the reader feel all the emotions that Lizzie, Rob, and Cain are going through. Prepare yourself for fear, love, heartbreak, frustration, romance, anger, and humor. I found myself arguing with Cain and Rob, not to mention cursing "the plan". I just couldn't put this book down and was finished before I knew I realized it. I can't wait for the next installment of this series! You've outdone yourself again Sonya. Thanks for such a unique and brilliant story.
Already being a fan of The Three Crowns, Absolution tops them all. There is so much raw feeling put into this one, I found myself growing attached to characters that I never imagined myself connecting with. Sonya Ray not only paints us a picture but constructs her characters so well, you feel the love, pain and angst they are going through right along with them. Highly Recommended Read!
I received a copy of Absolution in exchange for an honest review: I am so in love with this series! The conflict between Rob, Cain and Lizzie is captivating. So many emotions run through you when reading Absolution. However, when tragedy strikes it leaves you astonished and breathless and wanting more. Once again, after finishing this book by Sonya Ray, I cannot wait for the next book in this series to be published.
Absolution is the best so far. Lizzie grows a lot stronger. She comes so close to the truth I wonder what is blocking her from seeing it. Perhaps my favorite part of Absolution is Lizzie's growth. :)
Absolution screams patience. For all Lizzie, Cain, Rob and the family endure...patience is the key. Some have it, others don't. Worse, mistakes are made so patience is learned. For all the ups and downs, control is also needed. This story is universal in its teachings and entertaining in its uniqueness. There is a lot to think about, learn from, love, hate, laugh at, and remember. Absolution has me thinking more than ever and I love it. I absolutely love the ending. I can not wait to read Legacy. Come on Lizzie! :)
I receive this book for free from a facebook event. You need to remember that I read it as a self standing book and I didn't read the previous three books in the series.
I think this might be a very good romance book. You have all the ingredients, the very hot and beautiful people, the never failing attraction when they ended up having sex every few hours, several time a night/day in various location (it's very tastefully mentioned). You have the love triangle with the wonderful husband that have to stand up to the should-have-been-husband still madly in love with the heroin. The all thing takes place on a sort of farm or ranch but the heroine is also a famous model who appeared in music video. The modeling part was the best part of the book for me. (Team Rob?) If you love romance I'm certain you will enjoy this book.
This book will also work for you if you are a big fan of soap opera. There are a lot of characters and they are all in couple at least for a part of the book. It is filled with family drama and making babies problems and not making babies problem. There is mention to previous relationship and good dynamics between the characters. They all love each other so much and hurt each other so much and hate each other and forgive each others. It all works, you will be entertained until the end. For me it tended to get a bit repetitive and in the long run, I had trouble to just suck another problem in Beth's prefect life.
As you might already know I'm however not a really big fan of romance so I just took the book as a fantasy because well we have vampires added into the mix. And then I decided to go back on that and take it as a romance because that worked better. I don't know who ever came up with the idea what hiding who they are to people supposed to have huge responsibilities was a good idea but it's not, it never is and it always back fires, takes no brainers, I don't care what the big plan is. You see the heroine doesn't know anything about herself or the people she is with but that's normal, even when she thinks she is going crazy. And that bugs me! I hate it when other characters, be it parents, lover or partners (especially male characters) go around taking care of the lead female character because she is so fragile and she's going to break if you even mention who she is. In their logic, it doesn't even matter if that sort of behavior takes her (and her children) close to death. But everything is for her own good anyway, right? I would personally call that unhealthy relationships (note the plural here) and ran away very very far but the problem is that Beth can't do that because she doesn't even really think much about it and if she did there would be no story. The poor girl has to stay. She is by the way the only character I really liked. I liked Rob too for a while but then I got tired of his pain. There was really so much pain after pain in this book that despite the great time of release in between it was overwhelming.
I also had a bit of a problem with the vampire side of the story. I decided that I wasn't going to hurt myself trying to think who was a vampire and who was an half-blood and who was a human, and who was a witch (is the witch also a vampire?) I took them all as a vampire, seeing that except for the occasional mention to blood lust (mostly unfulfilled) and the mind reading power there was nothing differentiating them from humans. They all behaved the same, hurt the same had the same reaction to everything concerning the family. And they walked in the sun obviously which still gets me a lot of time to get used to. There is probably a very good reason for it all and it might even be found in one of the previous books but it still puzzles me somehow that a new born half-blood vampire who has been feeding on her mother for blood draining her completely (Heck blood is not allowed! ) could be nursing without bitting her mother to get the blood. I mean no matter what the plan is, the kids at least should have no control. Damn, even human babies bite their mother while nursing. This totally gave me the image of pregnant Bella in Twilight's movie, except that Beth apparently got no relieve allowed by her dad. (Is he trying to save the girl or kill the girl?) And why not let her choose? She need to trust her and trust her instinct but for sure not tell her who she is and let her choose. I think the lack of choice and power over her own life always sort of takes me over the edge.
Another thing that annoyed me a little was the sentence structure. You could go for paragraphs with SVC, SVC, SVC. I was also a bit annoyed by the lack of voice differentiation in the different POV. However the dialogues were really numerous and relatively pleasing.
So in summary, if you are fan of romance and soft vampire (Edward type) by all mean this series is for you and you might even find it a lot better than Twilight.
Holy cow ! Sonya's done it again. I laughed, cried , got mad & wanted to throw my kindle but all in all this was the best book of the series so far. You learn a lot more about Lizzie and the struggles everyone at Meadows deals with. I just love Cain. Patiently waiting for the next book.
LOVE the series!! This may be the best emotional ride yet and that's saying A LOT! I can't wait for the next book. This series has more mystery, excitement, heartbreak, love and passion than I would think possible. I love getting lost in the Landcaster world!! Each book seems better than the last even though I wouldn't have thought that's possible...... It's rare for me to give 5 star reviews these days, but I'd give these 6! Defiantly worth the read!!!! Original and transports you to a mysterious and exciting world that even through heartbreak seems to leave my heart happy. This was the perfect Birthday present for me! This series never disappoints. Such amazing plot and character development. I'm in awe by how much emotion this book holds and inspires. While the plan is still a mystery, pieces are slowly slipping together. Just when you think Lizzie has been through more trials and heartache than anyone should ever be put through, things become difficult again. This book is beautiful, heart wrenching, and inspiring. Lizzie is so strong, heroic, passionate, and dedicated you can not help but love her, really each character holds their own remarkable attributes.
I can't wait to see how all the pieces fit together. If the first four books are any inclination it should be nothing short of AMAZING.
I received this book from the Author in exchange for an honest review. This book is the fourth book in The Three Crown Series and is the best book so far, it truly was a fantastic read that had me hooked from the beginning. In this book the Lancaster “Family” faces a few life changing events both good and bad as the “Plan” is put into action. This is a fast paced book that will have you turning pages. The writing flows well, and the plot is well thought out. There is romance, suspense, mystery and intrigue that all comes together to weaves one hell of a story. All in all, a very enjoyable read. I can’t wait for the next book in this exciting and addictive series to come out. I will be looking for more of this talented author’s work.

I read this book in 5 hours! Couldn't put it down. Sonya Ray just makes the story so comprehensive that you feel emotion that the characters do. You just can't help falling in love with them all. The love triangle makes you a bit crazy...Team Rob ...Team Cain...no wait! It's hard to choose because they are all good and likable. Must read now and find out for yourself! Can't wait for the next book. Great job Sonya.
Oh my gosh! My emotions were all over the place while reading Absolution. The Three Crowns series is one of my favorites. The story is exceptionally original and very well written. The characters are outstanding. There is so much going on, both good and bad, that I was on the edge of my seat and could not put the book down - I lost a night of sleep but I don't regret it. The ending brought tears to my eyes and I hope I don't have to wait too long for the next book! This is an awesome series!
I do believe this story gets better and better with each blook. Sonya has a wonderful way with words, she was born for this. The plot flows smoothly, the characters & their tales come to life in your hands. Your heart, soul, & emotions get sucked into the story. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment to be released.
Absolution is amazing book. I couldn't let go of it when I was reading. It's far best paranormal romance Series. I felt a Connection with all of the Characters. I love this series. I can't wait to read more of The Three Crowns Series By Sonya Ray. I definitely recommend that everyone should this series you won't want to stop reading once you read the series.
Absolution is the fourth book in The Three Crowns Series. With two new bloodlines of The Three Crowns, the Ancients are forced to implement the Plan. There is still great conflict between Rob, Cain and Lizzie that has to be resolved, one way or the other. An absolution must occur, and it will rock the world of all three Crowns.
